The article concerns the problem of the phrase research, whose results are being continuously published in the scientific journal 'Linguistic Meetings in Wrocław'. The article characterizes in detail the last volume, which has been published in 2015.
Artykuł dotyczy badań nad frazami prowadzonych na Uniwersytecie Wrocławskim, których wyniki są od roku 2007 publikowane nieprzerwanie w czasopiśmie naukowym "Linguistische Treffen in Wrocław". Autor charakteryzuje szczegółowo ostatni dostępny numer czasopisma z roku 2015.

Opis:: Focusing on the exploration of intra-disciplinary register variation in the pharmaceutical domain, this corpus-driven study attempts to describe the use, composition and discourse functions of phrase frames, that is, contiguous sequences of words identical except for one (Fletcher, 2002-2007), found in samples of four English pharmaceutical text types, such as patient information leaflets, summaries of product characteristics, clinical trial protocols and chapters/sections from academic textbooks on pharmacology. The study deals with a specific sub-type of phrase frames, that is, 4-word units with a variable slot in the medial position, e.g. be * with caution, to take * medicine. The results showed, among others, that the use and discourse functions of phrase frames vary across pharmaceutical text types, that the correlation between the frequency of phrase frames and their pattern variability may depend on a register or genre, and that it is justified to treat the discourse functions of phrase frames as distinct from those of their textual variants.

Opis:: Music changes... On the secondary use of hypernymic lexemes The article examines the phenomenon of secondary nomination in terms of hypernymic words. Usually this process is occasional, although some secondary word uses have been established in language competence and are noted in the descriptive dictionaries. The author shows that this type of polysemy has a specific orientation: most often, the secondary use of a hypernym consists in expressing a positive meaning of one of the hyponyms, usually it is the meaning of a high intensity of a certain characteristic. Secondary use of hypernyms often occurs in constructions created in accordance with a definite phrase scheme, and some of such constructions belong to the phraseologisms. The author also describes the pragmatic characteristics of hypernymic polysemants, which relate to two aspects: ergonomic and communicative.

Opis:: Zahlreiche in adverbialer Funktion verwendete polnische und deutsche Präpositionalphrasen lassen sich nicht frei bilden, sondern sind Resultat der Adverbialisierung bzw. sogar Idiomatisierung und entziehen sich somit oft einer strikte grammatischen Erklärung. Der Beitrag versucht solche Bildungen nach ihrer Form, Bedeutung und Funktion zu beschreiben.
The paper deals with Polish and German prepositional phrases used in adverbial function. Such phrases cannot be freely formed, but are the result of adverbialization or even idiomatization and therefore often elude a strict grammatical explanation. The aim of the article is to investigate the form, meaning and function of such phrases.
