    The paper presents the issue of social transmission by Kazakh parents concerning disability, especially their knowledge of disability and content of conversations with their children. Diagnostic survey method, survey technique and the author's questionnaire with open-ended questions were used. The analysis of content of the written statements shows that the parental message in the inclusive group compared to the general population more strongly emphasizes the attitude of tolerance and nondiscrimination of the disabled peer. Research confirms the impact of social context on the knowledge, attitudes and the image of a person with a disability and these results are consistent with those of other authors.

    Opis:
    The built environment accessibility evaluation is required if the person physical capacities no longer correspond to the habitat requirements, which generally occur after an accident. For the person with disabilities, the inner accessibility of habitat is a highly important factor that allows him to live and work independently. This paper presents a new approach to determine the accessibility of handling elements like doors, windows, etc. inside the habitat for the wheelchair user. Thus, allowing housing professionals to assess the needed changes in terms of accessibility. The idea is to involve a new computer approach to evaluating the performance of these elements against wheelchair user capacity. The presented approach simulated wheelchair user behavior when he/ she is operating a handling element in order to determine the dimensions/positions of wheelchair clearance space and handle grip optimal heights while considering wheelchair arrival direction and respecting joint limits constraints of person upper body and wheelchair nonholonomy constraints.

    Miłosierdzie jest jądrem chrześcijańskiej moralności i wymogiem życia chrześcijanina. Wyraża się ono w słowach, czynach i modlitwie. W artykule zostało przedstawione chrześcijańskie ujęcie miłosierdzia w odniesieniu do relacji opiekuńczo-wychowawczych z osobą z niepełnosprawnością (rodziców, nauczycieli, pedagogów, terapeutów). Odniesiono się do przykładów miłosierdzia objawianego przez Boga Ojca oraz Chrystusa. Wskazano na to, co jest istotne w przygotowaniu wychowawców do spełniania swej roli w duchu miłosierdzia, scharakteryzowano istotę miłosiernej postawy wychowawcy oraz jej cechy (przejawy praktycznego realizowania czynnej miłości). Realizację miłosierdzia w relacjach wychowawca–osoba z niepełnosprawnością opisano przez odwołanie do rozumienia miłosierdzia jako rahămim (łono matki, i tej miłości, jaka towarzyszy matce wobec swojego dziecka). Podkreślono również, że w relacji wychowawczej, która podporządkowana jest zasadzie miłości miłosiernej, nie ma dobroczyńcy i „dobro-biorcy”, są dwie równe sobie w godności ludzkiej osoby, z których każda daje i otrzymuje miłosierdzie, chociaż o innym charakterze, w innej formie. Skupiono się również na problemach związanych z wychowaniem do miłosierdzia osób z niepełnosprawnością oraz koniecznością samowychowania w tym zakresie.
    Mercy is the core of Christian morality and a prerequisite of Christian life. It may be expressed in words, deeds and prayer. The article presents a Christian view on the relations that occur in the care and education of persons with a disability (relations with parents, teachers, educators, therapists). The author presents examples of mercy revealed by God the Father and Christ and points to the crucial aspects in the preparation of educators to carrying out their tasks in the spirit of mercy. She also describes the essence and characteristic features of a merciful attitude of an educator (manifestations of active love and charity in practice). The practical implementation of mercy in the relations educator-person with a disability refers to understanding mercy in the context of rahămim – the mother’s womb – and the love that a mother has towards her child. Another key issue is that in the relation of education that is run by the rules of merciful love there is no benefactor and beneficiary, but there are two persons who are equal in human dignity, and each one of them gives and receives mercy, although in a different form. The paper also presents problems related to the education of persons with a disability towards mercy and to the necessity of self-education in this respect.

    W pracy przedstawiono metodyczne podejście do rozwiązania problemu projektowania wózka inwalidzkiego spełniającego więcej potrzeb niż zazwyczaj. Zdekomponowano zadanie projektowe. Zbudowano hierarchię funkcji oraz podano wymagania podstawowe i dodatkowe dla wózka inwalidzkiego. Przedstawiono dwa koncepcyjne warianty rozwiązania zadania projektowego.
    The paper presents a methodical approach to solving the problem of designing a wheelchair that meets more than the usual needs of users. The design task was decomposed. A hierarchy of functions was built and the basic and additional requirements for a wheelchair were presented. In the paper, two conceptual variants of solutions to the design task are presented.

    Tło – Współczesna rodzina, w dobie postmodernizmu i w świecie VUCA, podlega różnorodnym przemianom, które dotyczą zarówno jej struktury, funkcjonowania, pełnienia ról rodzinnych, więzi rodzinnych. Przemianom tym podlega również rodzina funkcjonująca z osobą z niepełnosprawnością, zarówno w sytuacji, gdy niepełnosprawność dotyczy dziecka, jak też rodzica. Cele – Celem niniejszego artykułu jest ukazanie przemian dokonujących się współcześnie w rodzinie z osobą z niepełnosprawnością, jak również omówienie występujących w niej problemów i możliwości wsparcia w zakresie ich przezwyciężania. Metodologia – Artykuł ma charakter przeglądowy, koncentruje się na opisie i analizie zagadnienia na podstawie literatury przedmiotu. Wyniki – Artykuł poświęcony jest wybranym przemianom we współczesnej rodzinie z osobą niepełnosprawną. Przedstawiono problematykę funkcjonowania rodziny, w której wychowuje się dziecko z niepełnosprawnością lub w której niepełnosprawność bezpośrednio dotyka samych rodziców. Ukazano problemy i trudności, z jakimi borykają się te rodziny, próbując sprostać najbardziej aktualnym wyzwaniom współczesności. Ponadto omówiono problematykę złożonych uwarunkowań funkcjonowania rodziny w obliczu niepełnosprawności, zwłaszcza w kontekście zmieniających się postaw społecznych wobec niepełnosprawności. Wnioski – Przemiany w rodzinie z osobą z niepełnosprawnością przebiegają na tle zmian ogólnospołecznych, są złożone i zróżnicowane oraz dotyczą wielu różnych obszarów. Rodzina przeżywająca kumulację problemów wymaga określonego wsparcia, które winno być redefiniowane i przede wszystkim zracjonalizowane.
    Background – Nowadays the family, in the era of postmodernism and in the world of VUCA, undergoes various transformations that concern both its structure, functioning, the performance of family roles, and family ties. The family functioning with a person with a disability is also subject to these transformations, both when the disability concerns the child and the parent. Aims – The aim of the article was to show the changes that are taking place in a family with a person with disabilities, as well as to discuss the problems occurring in it and the possibilities of support in overcoming them. Methodology – The article is a review, focusing on an analysis of the issue based on the literature. Results – The article is devoted to selected transformations in a family with a disabled person. The problems of the functioning of a family in which a child with a disability is raised or in which the disability directly affects the parents themselves are presented. The problems and difficulties faced by these families as they try to cope with the most current challenges of the present day are discussed. Moreover, the issue of the complex determinants of family functioning in the face of disability is discussed, especially in the context of changing social attitudes towards disability. Conclusions – The transformations in a family with a person with a disability are taking place against the background of societal-wide changes. They are complex and diverse and involve many different areas. A family experiencing an accumulation of problems requires specific support, which should be redefined and, above all, rationalised.
