Opis:
The considerations of the article circulate around the Christian hope, its loss and conditions of restoration. The foundation of these reflections as its source for understanding of hope contained in the Benedict XVII Encyclical Spe salvi. Hope concerns what is given in faith, which is proof of things that will finally come, and therefore hope requires the recognition of two objectivities – now given and eschatological. The next elements of hope are the subject („homo viator”), directed towards Transcendence, tension and effort of the will and participation in the community. Factors of deconstruction may concern one or all elements of the structure of hope. The article discusses the phenomenon of deconstruction of hope in various dimensions of contemporary culture. The final reflection focuses on the restoration of hope. This can be done contrary to the deconstruction way, mainly by regaining the faith. The footing of this turn is the indication of St. Augustine - to believe in God one must first believe in God, that is, among others, to realize the common good, recognize the personal dignity of the man and the transcendent value of human life.

Opis:
The author attempts to first review the most general and culturally important statements on the subject of man, and then present the developed and rationally justified conception of man as a personal being who, by his action, transcends nature, society, and himself. This conception, unique in world literature, finds its expression in St. Thomas Aquinas’s Summa Theologiae, which presents a justifying context for man’s origin and life, ontic structure, individual and social actions, and his eschatic fulfillment by the intervention of the Incarnate God—Jesus Christ. In his Summa, Aquinas not only considers and rationally justifies all the basic aspects of the nature of man who transcends the world by his conscious and free action, but also takes into consideration various anthropological theories developed in ancient Greece and Rome.

Opis:
In this article the Author proves existence of an intrinsic and inseparable connection between anthropology and ecclesiology. The necessity of the Church as a community of believers can be demonstrated not only by the will of God explicitly expressed in the Holy Scriptures, but also by an anthropological analyses of the very nature of man, who is a social being opened towards God and towards other human beings. In the first part of the article, referring to a long philosophical tradition dating back to pre-Christian times and ending in the modern era, the Author illustrates by many examples the social dimension of human nature deliberately ignoring the biblical data and the teaching of the Magisterium. In the second part, he shows how the Conciliar teaching on the human person based on the Revelation remains in harmony with philosophical, anthropological and scientific arguments depicting human person as a relational (social) being. In the third part of the article, the Author demonstrates the correlation of the Conciliar teaching on the Church as community with anthropological data. The necessity of the Church can be justified not only by the authority of God (Revelation), but also by reflecting on the man’s nature (anthropology). Individualistic conception of faith, to which the Second Vatican Council wanted to react by its ecclesiology of communion, not only does not correspond to the biblical teaching, but also runs counter to the rational thinking on the human person who, in the light of diff erent sciences, is a relational being.
