Material and methods. A qualitative, phenomenological method was used to design the study. The standardised criteria for reporting qualitative research with 32 elements were used for the research. The study was conducted with 60 students who volunteered to participate in the study by not selecting a sample of first year nursing students from a university in Northern Turkey. Interviews were conducted 3 times for approximately 20-40 minutes. Results. In this study, the rate of students who perceived the Uniform Wearing Ceremony as positive was as high as (n=42), the rate of those who thought that the uniform had an effect on the image of the nursing profession was 88.3%, and the rate of those who considered nursing as a respected profession was (23%). Opis:
The research examined the relationship between web-based learning and self-learning readiness of nursing students. The research was a single-group experiment, in which 162 second-year nursing students were given a pre-test and a post-test. All the students use the Internet. Before and after the web-based course, a statistically significant difference was observed concerning the average points totaled for self-learning readiness. Results show that web-based learning positively affected the self-learning readiness of nursing students. Therefore, nursing students would benefit from web-based education as it improves their readiness for self-learning.

Opis:
Introduction and aim. Edema and pain may occur in the lower extremities due to the long-term standing work of nursing students and the stress they experience. In this study, the aim was to determine the effect of foot baths applied after clinical practice on foot pain and leg edema in nursing students. Material and methods. This randomized controlled study was carried out with second year nursing students. The intervention group received a foot bath (including immersion in water and massage). No intervention was performed on the control group. The data was collected using a survey form, edema follow-up form, visual analog scale, and foot bath equipment. Results. Edema levels in the right tibia decreased statistically on the 1st and 2nd days after the foot bath compared to the values measured after nurses performed clinical practice, while the edema level in the left tibia decreased significantly in the first and fourth weeks (p<0.05). The right and left foot pain scores in the intervention group increased in the evening of the day after the clinical practice compared to before clinical practice, and pain scores decreased statistically significantly after foot bath (p<0.001). The foot pain scores expressed by the students in the first week increased continuously (p<0.001). Conclusion. The study showed that a foot bath performed after clinical practice were effective for easing foot pain and leg edema.

Opis:
Grupę badaną stanowiło 391 studentów pielęgniarstwa I, II i III roku studiów licencjackich. Badania przeprowadzono w Collegium Medicum Uniwersytetu Jagiellońskiego w Krakowie. W pracy wykorzystano kwestionariusze: Confidence in Coping with Patient Aggression Instrument oraz skalę Attitudes Towards Aggression Scale w wersji polskiej. Wykazano, że istnieje związek pomiędzy rokiem studiów a postawami wobec agresji. Mężczyźni posiadają wyższy poziom pewności siebie w radzeniu sobie z agresywnym pacjentem, niż kobiety, natomiast nie wykazano istotnych statystycznie różnic w postawach wobec agresji pomiędzy płciami. Istnieje potrzeba pomocy studentom pielęgniarstwa w rozbudowaniu postaw wobec agresji oraz umiejętności radzenia sobie z nią.

Research has shown the correlationbetween the level of bachelor degree and attitudes towards aggression.Men have a higher level of self-confidence in coping withan aggressive patient, but there was no statistically significant differencein attitudes towards aggression between genders.
