    Andrzej Bieńkowski malarz, etnograf, autor filmów dokumentalnych, profesor Akademii Sztuk Pięknych w Warszawie. Autor książek Ostatni wiejscy muzykanci (2001), Sprzedana muzyka (2007) i 1000 kilometrów muzyki (2009). Od lat 80. XX w. wraz z żoną Małgorzatą prowadzą badania etnograficzne, nagrywają i filmują wiejskich muzykantów oraz śpiewy z Polski, Ukrainy i Białorusi. W roku 2012 założyli fundację Muzyka Odnaleziona, która udostępniania zgromadzone przez nich olbrzymie zbiory archiwalne w formie wydawnictw płytowych, poprzez stronę internetową www.muzykaodnaleziona.pl oraz kanał w serwisie YouTube. Realizują również projekt Archiwum Muzyki Wiejskiej (https://archiwummuzykiwiejskiej.pl/), który służy gromadzeniu, digitalizacji i udostępnianiu fotografii dokumentujących muzyczną kulturę wsi.
    Andrzej Bieńkowski painter, ethnographer, author of documentary films, professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. Author of the books The Last Country Musicians (2001), The Sold Music (2007) and 1000 Kilometers of Music (2009). Since the 1980s, he and his wife Małgorzata have been conducting ethnographic research, recording and filming rural musicians and singing performances from Poland, Ukraine and Belarus. In 2012, they set up the Muzyka Odnaleziona foundation, which makes their huge archival collections available on CDs as well as on the website www.muzykaodnaleziona.pl and on a YouTube channel. They also implement the Rural Music Archive project (https://archiwummuzykiwiejskiej.pl/), which aims to collect, digitize and make available photographs documenting the musical culture of the countryside.

    Opis:
    The article deals with the issue of strategy of historicizing film narrative and the world presented on a screen in historical cinema. It shows with what elements the film narrative and the world presented on a screen are historicized. In the introduction of the article, the most important analytical categories such as historical film and strategies of historicizing film narrative and the world presented on a screen are conceptualized. Historical film is defined as an operational category requiring conceptualization relativized to a cultural context of its use. A historical film is described as a screening work covering various genological structures, the subject of which relates to the past. The strategies of historicizing the film narrative and the film world presented on a screen are understood as numerous ways of equipping the film with various signs of historicity that allow the viewer/researcher to get an impression of the screen effect of a time shift towards the past. In the following parts of the article, the signs of historicity that have the function of historicizing the film narrative and the world presented on a screen are analyzed on the examples of various films covering a wide spectrum of history from ancient times to the present day. The Signs of historicity include the following elements: (1) scenery, stage design, costumes; (2) language; (3) music; (4) characterization; (5) events and characters. Strategies of historicizing the world presented on a screen and film narrative, which have been analyzed in the article, play a particularly important role in the so-called classic films made in the aesthetics of zero style cinema.
    Różnorodne sposoby wyposażania filmu w różnego rodzaju oznaki historyczności w artykule są nazywane strategiami uhistoryczniania filmowej narracji oraz filmowego świata przedstawionego. W związku z faktem, że w ramach respektowanej w tekście koncepcji film historyczny jest opowieścią przedstawiającą bliższą lub dalszą przeszłość, jedną z najistotniejszych oznak historyczności filmowej opowieści jest w tym przypadku efekt ekranowego przesunięcia w czasie ku przeszłości. Polega on na tym, że oglądając film, widz ma świadomość odmienności świata prezentowanego na ekranie od tego, który znamy z codziennego współczesnego doświadczenia. Artykuł skupia się na ukazaniu roli Mise-en-scène w uhistorycznianiu filmowej narracji i świata przedstawionego.

    Der Band enthält die Abstracts ausschließlich in englischer Sprache.
    The present article focuses on the representation of the cultural life during the siege of Leningrad (1941-1944) in Andreï Makine’s eleventh novel. Analysing the portrait of the blockade created by La Vie d’un homme inconnu (2009) in the light of historical works and personal writings, I demonstrate that despite its apparent wish to contest the official version of the blockade Makine ends up endorsing some of the myths established by Soviet propaganda. He thus emphasises the Leningraders’ heroism, altruism and high level of culture, representing the blokadniki as active defenders of the city rather than helpless victims of both the atrocious conditions imposed by the siege and Stalinist terror. Consequently, although the novel may seem to belong to the canon of historiographic metafiction which systematically questions official historiography and gives voice to those excluded from making and writing History, a careful reading of the Franco-Russian author’s eleventh work of fiction reveals its conservative - not to say reactionary - character, even if La Vie d’un homme inconnu may be challenging another dominant discourse regarding the Soviet Union’s role in World War II, namely that forged in the West.
