Opis:: Honesty allows man to live in the truth, that is, to know the true values and implement them in man’s life. Honesty is therefore the spiritual force in man, which allows him to properly refer to values and their hierarchy in the spirit of the constantly acquired truth. The aim of the analyses presented in the article is an attempt to show honesty in a varied splendor of truth, i.e., to show honesty as a moral condition sine qua non of learning and living the truth and at the same time revealing the truth as the foundation of being honest. We try to justify the thesis that only through inner integrity and honesty man can discover the truth about man’s human dignity and the dignity of another man and, according to this truth, shape his conscience and be guided by it.

Opis:: Archbishop Jerzy Ablewicz seeking grounds for moral teaching, focused on the man, as a moral entity. Expression of human subjectivity is moral conscience. Through carrying out its functions, it is on top of the elements that constitute the dignity of every person. Conscience is a necessary condition for man to act as a human right. Pastor of the Church in the ministry of the word Tarnów reminded frequently about the Church's teaching on human conscience. Therefore, the aim of this publication is on-closer to his teaching on conscience as the interpretation of human morality. According to the Archbishop of conscience plays an important role in human moral development. It is legitimate and authoritative standard rule of conduct. However, conscience can determine the right way forward and shape the moral life of man must be well-formed. Ablewicz indicating the measures to this end, seek to shape the conscience of such a man to be able to act in a spirit of responsibility for themselves, others and the world, that is, ultimately, to do good moral.

Opis:: Życie obywatela to - przynajmniej z chrześcijańskiego punktu widzenia - droga, która prowadzi do Boga. Można na niej spotkać co najmniej dwie niewykluczające się rzeczywistości: polityczną i religijną. Chrześcijanin winien angażować się w życie polityczne, a jednocześnie postępować zgodnie z właściwym systemem moralnym. Całą działalność polityczną trzeba pojmować w kategoriach moralnych, ponieważ w jej centrum znajduje się zawsze człowiek i jego działanie, które może być tak dobre, jak i złe. Nie wolno uprawiać polityki według zasad ideologii skuteczności i sukcesu bez liczenia się z wartościami ogólnoludzkimi i prawami moralnymi. Przestrzeganie zasad etycznych w obrębie polityki jest gwarancją właściwego funkcjonowania państwa oraz zabezpieczenia praw jednostki. Zdając sobie sprawę z możliwych zagrożeń w dziedzinie polityki, należy mówić o potrzebie formacji moralnej wszystkich pełniej uczestniczących w życiu politycznym. Formacja ta jest konieczna, aby przenikać świat polityki duchem służby na rzecz dobra wspólnego.
Life of a citizen is – at least from Christian point of view – a road that leads to God and on which at least two not excluding realities can be met: political and religious. The Christian should engage in the political life and at the same time follow the appropriate moral system. The entire political activity must be understood in moral terms because it is centered on human life and actions which might be good as well as bad. The politics cannot be practiced according to the rules of ideology of effectiveness and success, without taking universal values and moral laws into account. Following ethical principles within the policy guarantees the proper functioning of the state and the protection of individual rights. Realizing the potential risks in the field of politics, we have to talk about the need for moral formation for all fully participating in political life. This formation is necessary to infiltrate the world of politics with the spirit of service to the common good.

Opis:: Ratzinger – Benedykt XVI, poszukując podstaw do nauczania moralnego, koncentrował się na człowieku jako podmiocie moralności. Wyrazem moralnej podmiotowości człowieka jest sumienie. Pełniona przez nie funkcja stawia je na szczycie elementów konstytuujących godność każdej osoby. Sumienie jest warunkiem koniecznym, by człowiek działał właśnie jako człowiek. Stanowi ono prawomocną normę i miarodajną regułę postępowania moralnego. Największym zagrożeniem dla świata jest zjawisko zafałszowania i zaćmienia sumienia. Bez zdrowego sumienia zaburzeniu ulega więź z Bogiem, a także relacja z samym sobą i z ludźmi. Dlatego prawość sumienia powinna być główną troską ludzkości. Papież Benedykt XVI wielokrotnie nawoływał ludzkość do właściwego kształtowania sumienia. Nieocenionym darem dla dojrzałości sumienia jest kierowanie się nauczaniem Kościoła i uczestnictwo w żywej wspólnocie eklezjalnej.
J. Ratzinger – Benedict XVI, searching for the basis for moral teaching, focused on man as the subject of morality. Conscience is an expression of the human moral subjectivity. Thanks to its function, it stands at the top of the elements constituting the dignity of every person. Conscience is a necessary condition for man to act as a man. It is a valid norm and a reliable rule of moral conduct. The greatest threat to the world is the phenomenon of falsification and the eclipse of conscience. Without a healthy conscience, the relationship with God is disturbed, as well as the relationship with oneself and with people. Therefore, integrity of conscience should be the main concern of humanity. Pope Benedict XVI has repeatedly called on humanity to properly form a conscience. An invaluable gift for the maturity of conscience is being guided by the teaching of the Church and participation in a living ecclesial community.
