    The political destabilization in the Middle East has caused such a significant wave of migration to European countries, that the situation has evolved into a migration crisis. Research on the awareness and opinions on mass migration conducted among a selected group of Polish youth show how differentiated attitudes are – from moderately positive to extremely negative. At the same time, almost everyone signaled that schools’ engagement in providing students with solid knowledge on migration was insufficient. In this context, this paper discusses the importance of taking account of students’ opinions in the planning of educational processes. If schools are to influence the attitudes of the young, they should create a space for dialogue and for students to express their opinions and values. Such activities, together with solid knowledge, will allow educational and pedagogical objectives to be reached.

    The article examines the influence of migration processes on the formation and development of production capacities of countries. The main functions that perform population migration are indicated. Reasonably, the process of labor migration affects the redistribution of industry types that develop in different countries. The impact of international labor migration on the economies of donor and recipient countries is determined. It has been proven that labor migration has different effects on donor and recipient countries. Researched the question of how the human, social and financial capital of labor migrants can be better used for their counties of origin becomes more and more urgent. There is an opinion that labor migration is not always negative. It is emphasized that educational migration can have a positive impact on the development of industry in the donor country, provided that the population returns home. It is noted that Ukraine often acts as a labor donor for many countries, including Poland. The main spheres of activity in which Ukrainians work abroad are given. The main benefits that donor and recipient countries receive from population migration are identified. It is emphasized that the return flows, ie the return of emigrants home from earnings abroad, change over time the ratio of benefits and losses in the donor country.

    Opis:
    The article examines the influence of migration processes on the formation and development of production capacities of countries. It is emphasized that population migration significantly affects the social and economic indicators of the country; under such influence, they can have both positive and negative trends. The article presents the main positive and negative consequences of population migration for donor countries, recipient countries, and for migrants themselves. It is proved that one of the most popular and promising is educational migration, which, under certain favorable circumstances, makes it possible to form highly qualified personnel, deepen international cooperation between higher education institutions of different countries, and strengthen the joint use of educational and scientific potential. The attention is focused on the fact that Ukraine today acts as a donor country and a leader in the number of young people who travel to study in Poland. It is indicated that in order to effectively regulate migration processes by the state, it is appropriate to ensure interaction between higher education institutions of different countries, namely, in the sphere of: a double-degree program, foreign internships, and holding joint international conferences. Using the example of Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas and Ternopil National Economic University, it is shown how such interaction is implemented in practice and its consequences. The conclusions are based on the fact that educational migration is one of the most favorable types of migration. With its proper control by the state, it is possible to stimulate the development of the production industry in countries and improve social and economic indicators.

    W artykule poruszam kwestię kształcenia uczniów cudzoziemskich w polskim systemie oświatowym. Uważam, że pomimo zapewnienia o równości szans edukacyjnych uczniów cudzoziemskich w polskim prawie, w praktyce szanse tych uczniów są znacznie mniejsze niż polskich obywateli, zwłaszcza ze względu na barierę językową, a także niedostateczne przygotowanie szkół i nauczycieli do kształcenia migrantów. Potwierdzeniem tej tezy są wyniki moich badań przeprowadzonych z nauczycielami pracującymi w białostockich szkołach podstawowych, w których uczą się dzieci cudzoziemskie. Prezentuję także rozwiązania, jakie w opinii badanych nauczycieli warto zastosować, aby wyrównać szanse edukacyjne uczniów cudzoziemskich.
    The article raises the issue of education of foreign students in the Polish education system. I believe that, despite the assurances of equality of educational opportunities for foreign students in the Polish law, in practice, the chances of these students are much smaller than the Polish citizens, especially because of the language barrier and the lack of preparation of schools and teachers to educate migrants. To confirm this thesis, the results of the research conducted with teachers working in public primary schools in Bialystok, in which foreign children study have been presented. Finally, the solutions that should be implemented, according to the surveyed teachers, to equalize educational opportunities for foreign students have been shown.

    Opis:
    The article draws attention to the difficulties in functioning as a pupil and peer of children of other cultures (migrants) who have to find themselves in a new educational and social reality after coming to Poland. There will be special analysis made of migrant children (of other nationalities), who mainly face language competence deficits and, consequently, adaptation and educational problems. The educational system has to more often face the new challenges of teaching and bringing up multicultural students (belonging to different national, ethnic, linguistic, and religious). For them, Polish is usually a foreign language that significantly influences the quality of their social contacts and educational achievements. Language proficiency is therefore crucial for school success and integration. One of these challenges is to accurately and reliably identify the needs of students with multiple difficulties at different levels of education to organize effective psychological and pedagogical assistance. The article draws attention to the key elements of the diagnostic process which include: a diagnostician, a child, a parent (subjects in the research relationship), and research methods and tools (subjects). The issue of limitations of the process of diagnosing specific learning and social difficulties becomes particularly important here, as well as identification of barriers resulting from the search for effective assistance solutions.
    Niniejszy artykuł zwraca uwagę na trudności w zakresie funkcjonowania w roli ucznia i rówieśnika dzieci innych kulturowo (migrantów), które po przyjeździe do Polski muszą odnaleźć się w nowej rzeczywistości edukacyjnej i społecznej. Szczególnej analizie poddane będą tu dzieci napływowe (innej narodowości), które borykają się przede wszystkim z deficytami kompetencji językowych, a co za tym idzie, problemami adaptacyjnymi i edukacyjnymi. System oświaty coraz częściej musi mierzyć się z nowymi wyzwaniami, jakie niesie ze sobą nauczanie i wychowanie uczniów przynależących do różnych grup narodowych, etnicznych, językowych i religijnych. Dla nich bowiem język polski to zazwyczaj język obcy, wpływający w znaczący sposób na jakość kontaktów społecznych i osiągnięć edukacyjnych. Sprawność językowa jest więc kluczowa dla zaistnienia zarówno sukcesu szkolnego, jak i integracyjnego. Jednym z tych wyzwań jest trafne i rzetelne rozpoznawanie potrzeb uczniów z wielorakimi trudnościami na różnych poziomach kształcenia celem organizowania skutecznej pomocy psychologiczno-pedagogicznej. Artykuł zwraca uwagę na kluczowe elementy procesu diagnostycznego, do których należą: diagnosta, dziecko, rodzic (podmioty w relacji badawczej) oraz metody i narzędzia badawcze (przedmioty). Szczególnego znaczenia nabiera tu kwestia ograniczeń procesu diagnozowania trudności w uczeniu się i funkcjonowaniu społecznym, a także identyfikacji barier wynikających z poszukiwania skutecznych rozwiązań pomocowych.
