- Conception and realization of core loss measuring is shown in this article. Stators and rotors core sheets are tested during repair, with core windings or when they are removed. Proposed special coefficient kz is a quality measure of isolation between core sheets, and therefore basing on this, it is possible to decide if further repair of machine is advisable or not. System was tested in the laboratory as well as on the real machines with different conditions and constructions. Included results, indicates not only total condition of cores, but also local defects in the examined cases.
