    Purpose Investigation of the current state and determination of the role of information systems and technologies in the management of the enterprise to increase the effi ciency of making managerial decisions. Methods Th e work used such general scientifi c methods as observation, comparison, generalization, abstraction, formalization, analysis, synthesis, deduction and induction, analogy, systemic methods, and others. Results Th e introduction and use of information systems and technologies is an indispensable condition for the activities of a modern enterprise. It facilitates the adoption of sound management decisions: increasing the competitiveness of an enterprise and enhancing economic security. Th is will not only ensure the eff ectiveness of making managerial decisions in the activities of the enterprise, and as a consequence will be a guarantee of the development of the country’s economy. Discussion Th e development of the world economy is greatly infl uenced by the dynamic development of the world market of information systems and technologies, as the introduction of new information systems and technologies makes it possible to increase the effi ciency of using enterprise resources, optimize business processes of production, facilitate the exchange of information, and much more. Th e use of information systems and technologies by enterprises in their work allows solving tasks from operational management to improving the eff ectiveness of making managerial decisions.

Ważną kwestią dla rozwoju przedsiębiorstw jest również umiejętność i możliwość wykorzystania zdobyczy współczesnych technologii oraz zastosowania ich w procesach zarządzania organizacją W artykule poruszono zagadnienia dotyczące znaczenia wykorzystania narzędzi informatycznych w zarządzaniu, zwracając szczególną uwagę na bariery ich wprowadzania w małych i średnich przedsiębiorstwach. Wnioski w tym zakresie wyciągnięte zostały na podstawie analizy danych statystycznych GUS, dotyczących wykorzystania technologii informacyjno-komunikacyjnych w przedsiębiorstwach. Posłużono się również studium przypadku do oceny poziomu wykorzystania narzędzi informatycznych w przedsiębiorstwie produkcyjnym oraz identyfikacji barier w tym zakresie.
    The progress in the area of information technologies seen in the contemporary world raises questions about the future shape of management and to what extent the work of executives will be assisted and replaced by IT tools facilitating design of appropriate strategies and taking of the most rational decisions. An important issue for the development of businesses is also skill and ability to take advantage of modern technologies and apply them in the management processes of an organization. The article addresses issues concerning the significance of IT tools utilization in management, with particular regard to the barriers to their implementation in small and medium enterprises. Conclusions in this respect were drawn on the basis of analysis of GUS statistical data related to the use of information and communication technologies in businesses. A case study was also used to assess the level of implementation of IT tools in a manufacturing enterprise and to identify barriers in this regard.

    W pracy omówiono zagadnienie kształtowania przestrzeni organizacyjnej jako odpowiedzi na zmiany wynikające z trendów rynkowych. Rozwiązania te obejmując całość zagadnienia informatycznego wspomagania funkcjonowania podmiotu powinny uwzględniać jego specyfikę. Różne są oczekiwania poszczególnych uczestników rynku, wszyscy jednak oczekują efektywnego wsparcia informatycznego. Rozwój branż wymaga zróżnicowanych narzędzi. W usługach istotne są aplikacje wspierające obsługę klienta, a w przemyśle systemy zapewniające realizację procesów podstawowych. Korzystne dla podmiotu są rozwiązania dedykowane (IRI), które odpowiadając na rozpoznane potrzeby, umożliwiają sprawną organizację wymiany informacji. Ma to zapewnić podmiotowi efektywną obsługę końcowego odbiorcy.
    The work discusses the issue of shaping the organizational space as a response to changes resulting from market trends. Developmental stimuli are innovations, including digitalization, which is a consequence of R & D & I cooperation. Information systems are to provide a competitive advantage in both industry and services. The implementation of support in the field of information exchange with IT solutions requires organizational changes. These solutions, encompassing the entirety of the IT problem supporting the functioning of the entity, should take into account its specificity. The expectations of individual market participants are different. However, everyone expects effective IT support. The development requires various tools. In the services are important applications supporting customer service. In industry are important systems that ensure the supporting of basic processes. Beneficial for the entity are dedicated solutions (IRI) that respond to identified needs, enable efficient organization of information exchange. This is to provide the entity with effective service to the final recipient.

    Cechy takie jak lokalizacja i stan zachowania obiektów dziedzictwa kulturowego stanowią ważny aspekt w zarządzaniu takim zasobem, niezależnie od przyjętej skali przestrzennej. Podczas gdy dotychczasowe narzędzia miały istotne ograniczenia, autorzy niniejszej pracy zaproponowali przykładowe postępowanie badawcze pozwalające na stworzenie bazy danych dla zarządzających obiektami dziedzictwa kulturowego, z wykorzystaniem Geograficznych Systemów Informacyjnych (GIS). Na potrzeby artykułu opracowano metodykę badania terenowego, które pozwoliło na określenie nie tylko lokalizacji, ale wielu cech obiektów zależnych od preferencji użytkownika. Autorzy wykorzystali komercyjną aplikację mobilną Survey123 for ArcGIS firmy Esri, ale zastosowanie metody nie ogranicza się tylko do tego produktu. Przedstawiono i opisano kolejne fazy realizacji postępowania badawczego od etapu przygotowania materiałów wejściowych do stworzenia końcowej bazy danych. Ujawnione korzyści przekonują, że aplikacje terenowe mają szerokie zastosowanie w gromadzeniu informacji, a analizy z wykorzystaniem GIS umożliwią decydentom bardziej efektywne zarządzanie obiektami dziedzictwa kulturowego. Zidentyfikowano także ograniczenia adaptacji mobilnych aplikacji oraz wskazano potencjalne kierunki przyszłych badań.
    Location and state of preservation of cultural heritage sites are important aspects in the management of such resources, regardless of the spatial scale adopted. While existing tools had significant limitations, the authors of this paper proposed an exemplary research procedure to create a database for heritage site managers, using Geographic Information Systems. In this paper, a field survey methodology was developed to identify not only the location, but many features of the sites depending on user preferences. The authors used Esri’s commercial mobile application Survey123 for ArcGIS, but the application of the method is not limited to this product. The successive phases of the research procedure from the preparation of the input materials to the creation of the final database are presented and described. The benefits revealed are convincing that field applications are widely applicable to information gathering, and that analyses using GIS software will enable decision-makers to manage cultural heritage sites more effectively. Limitations of mobile app adaptations are also identified and potential directions for future research are highlighted.
