    Big data jest zjawiskiem szeroko dyskutowanym we współczesnej literaturze ekonomicznej. Celem artykułu jest identyfikacja głównych trendów zmian w łańcuchach dostaw obserwowanych aktualnie w praktyce gospodarczej i oczekiwanych w przyszłości, następujących w efekcie wykorzystania technologii big data. Przedstawione wyniki badań literaturowych prezentują zarówno główne kierunki zmian w sposobach funkcjonowania łańcuchów dostaw, jak i kwestie ewolucji w podejściu do zarządzania międzyorganizacyjnego.
    Big Data is the phenomenon that is currently discussed widely in economic literature. The aim of the paper is to identify the main trends in supply chain management being observed in practice and expected to develop in the future resulting from application of Big Data technologies. The discussion based on the literature review is focused both on changes in supply chain activities and interorganizational management issues.

    Companies are currently producing and processing larger and larger amounts of data that they were not able to effectively process and subsequently use in the management of company processes in the past. There are several technologies and tools for the analytical processing and evaluation of diverse data, such as the Big Data technology. The Industry 4.0 concept (which is closely linked with the IoT) will bring an enormous growth of produced data into the company sphere. The information value of such data can signifi cantly affect managing and decision-making processes in a company. Here, we can see a synergy between man and technology where each influences the other. The purpose of this paper is to support the following statement: in the present business environment, we are facing the transformation of a company that, for efficient management and decision-making, needs: a) to capture and process all available data; b) to implement new tools into strategic decisions; and c) to integrate data through a single system. This article describes the possibilities of deploying the efficient use of new technologies (Big Data, Industry 4.0, and IoT) in management.

    The aim of the article was to show the possibility of applying the Big Data concept in the management of a sustainable, green supply chain. This topic was taken up because new technologies and ecology are currently the greatest challenges for logistics. At the beginning of the study, the impact of ecology on logistics was briefly presented. Then, the meaning of the Big Data concept and how the digitization of the supply network manifests itself were shown. Finally, the possibilities of using data analysis in green supply chain management were selected.

    Głównym celem artykułu jest analiza skali i zakresu wykorzystania instrumentów promocji w procesie zarządzania wizerunkiem Wałbrzycha. Dynamiczne przeobrażenia w funkcjonowaniu miasta po 1989 r. i, co z tym związane, zmiany jego postrzegania stanowią przyczynek do naukowej refl eksji nie tylko nad deklarowanym, ale również rzeczywistym udziałem instrumentów promocji w tym procesie. Zobrazowanie aktualnego wizerunku Wałbrzycha wymaga dalszych, pogłębionych badań i nie jest zamierzeniem autora.
    The main aim of the article is to analyse the scale and the range of the promotion instruments’ used in the process of the image management of Wałbrzych. The dynamic transformations of the functioning of the city aft er 1989 and, therefore, the changes in its perception contribute to the scientifi c refl ection upon the declared, as well as the real use of the promotion instruments in this process. The presentation of the current image of Wałbrzych requires further in-depth research and it does not constitute the intention of the author.
