Opis:
This paper describes research related to the use of heuristics in diagnostic tasks of complex technical objects. To build heuristics, the use of text models for technical objects is proposed. Therefore, this paper examines output methods of heuristics from text models and their transformation into logical formulae suitable for use in diagnostic algorithms. Analysis has been carried out for tasks solved during diagnostics, and methods of using heuristics in certain tasks have been reviewed. It is proposed to use heuristics for decision making while implementing certain algorithm steps of monitoring tasks for diagnostic parameters that are solved during diagnostics.

The article presents the results of the laboratory study on nitric oxides (NOx) emission level from marine fourstroke diesel engine. The object of the study was laboratory piston engine, operating at constant speed. Measured engine parameters were necessary to determine the NOx emission in accordance of the requirements of the Annex VI to MARPOL 73/78 Convention. The study consisted of tests during the engine operation without malfunctions and engine operation with simulated malfunctions. Malfunctions of the charge gas exchange in the form of throttling of the air intake duct and the throttling of the exhaust gas duct were taken into account in the simulations. Measurements during the engine operation with simulated malfunctions of the fuel pump on one of the cylinders were also carried out. Mentioned malfunctions were delay of the fuel injection by 5° of the crankshaft angle position and the leakage of the fuel pump of the second engine cylinder. The simulated malfunctions decrease the total weighted NOx emission in all considered the engine loads. All simulated malfunctions resulted in an increase of the NOx emissions during engine operation at low the engine loads and a decrease of the mentioned emission at maximum the engine loads operation. The calculations of the weighted specific fuel consumption present a little change in engine efficiency which are within the range of measuring error of the used method.

In this work is developed method of evaluation safety level, which decreases with floating intensity functioning during technical object. Factors, condition such changes were reviewed. Basing on proposed methodic of detection of various types of risks exists possibility to form constructive algorithms of evaluation of safety level, which allows forming adequate danger counteraction means. One of basic factors, representing dangers, is malfunctions, appearing on technical object.

Heeling is unsafe for ship, its machineries and people on board. It is known the main reasons of vessel’s heeling such strong winds, hard and speedy turns, uneven cargo loading. The most dangerous for vessel should be the shift of cargo at sea due to faults during port cargo loading. During cargo operations, the vessel’s heel may change and ought to be under control. Some offshore vessels, pipe-lay, crane, heavy lift, container or ro-ro vessels ought to have the anti-heeling systems to prevent too high heels during port or offshore operations. They are needful for the vessel and cargo safety. It was presented chosen examples of such systems showing the solutions, elements of anti-heeling (A-H) systems, method of vessel’s heel visualization, ways of utilization etc. The proper utilization of A-H systems is the base of correct, save time and safe operations to minimize the risk of vessel’s tilting or capsizing. It was mentioned some problems during operation and some malfunctions of A-H systems creating the risk of vessel’s accidents. Some examples of famous and serious vessel’s accidents were shown. It was discussed what may be done for improving these systems during the cargo operation especially in open sea particularly necessary for offshore vessels.

Prezentowane w niniejszym artykule badania dotyczą korelacji warunków morfologiczno-czynnościowych i artykulacji u dzieci w wieku od 5 do 7 lat. Wyniki tych badań potwierdzają, że istnieje związek między występowaniem zaburzeń morfologiczno-czynnościowych a nieprawidłową artykulacją, w szczególności realizacjami o typie deformacji. Korelacja ta jest najsilniejsza w odniesieniu do złożonych zaburzeń motorycznych. Wykazano ponadto, że u większości dzieci, u których stwierdza się wady zgryzu, obserwuje się także nienormatywne realizacje.
This paper presents the results of studies carried out in order to determine the influence of biological factors on speech development. The studies concern children aged 5 to 7 and present the correlation between the myofunctional and occlusal disorders and articulation. The presented studies confirm that there is a relationship between the occurrence of myofunctional and occlusal disorders and abnormal articulation, particularly distorted realizations. This correlation is the strongest in complex motor disorders. Moreover, it is demonstrated that in the majority of children with malocclusion can be observed abnormal articulation.

The article presents results of the reliability study of controlled groups of vehicles possessed by two road transport enterprises working in the international transport sector (truck tractors – VOLVO FH 1242Т – 50 unit and MERCEDES-BENZ 1844 ACTROS LS -100 units, semi-trailers SCHMITZ, KRONE and KÖGEL – 50 units from each of the semi-trailers company). Possibilities for reliability increasing and reduction of the maintenance and repair cost are defined. The results of the reliability evaluation of vehicles during three years of operation with a different annual run (from brand new up to 440·103 km, including warranty period) are presented. Based on the conducted studies of failures and details malfunctions, units and systems of the vehicles, the average operating time to failure or occurrence of malfunctioning, the probability of failure-free operation, and the time spent on repairs were determined. Asymmetric graphs of working capacity disturbance were obtained, which allowed determining the level of const uction design perfection, the technological accuracy of equipment assembly and the quality of fastening works. The inadequate adaptability to operate on the roads of the CIS was reflected by symmetric distribution laws. The least reliable aggregate and assembly elements were identified.

Presented paper shows the results of the laboratory tests on the relationship between the extreme throttling of both air intake duct and exhaust gas duct and gaseous emission from the marine engine. The object of research is a laboratory, 4-stroke, DI diesel engine, operated at loads from 50 kW to 250 kW at a constant speed equal to 750 rpm. During the laboratory tests the thermodynamic and exhaust gas emission characteristics of the engine were measured with technical condition recognized as "working properly" and with simulated throttling of both air intake duct and exhaust gas duct. Air intake duct throttling by 60% causes visible changes at both gas temperature and pressure behind the intercooler. The study results show significant changes of NOx and CO2 emission for considered air intake duct throttling. The best indicator of exhaust gas duct throttling among considered thermodynamic parameters of the engine is mean in-cylinder pressure. In the case of measuring the composition of exhaust gas, the throttling of the exhaust gas duct causes visible changes in CO2 and NOx emission. The conclusion is that the results of measurements of the composition of the exhaust gas may contain valuable diagnostic information about the technical condition of air intake and exhaust gas duct of the marine engine.

Opis:
The thermostat is a crucial component of a car's internal combustion engine's cooling system. Failure of the thermostat can result in undercooling or overheating of the engine. Undercooling may increase wear of engine components due to poor lubrication and lead to higher fuel consumption. Conversely, overheating can damage the engine. The engine coolant temperature is one of the fundamental parameters for the proper functioning of the engine. The vehicle's onboard diagnostics system was unable to detect the malfunction of the thermostat. As a consequence, fuel consumption increased, which was especially noticeable in winter. This paper evaluates the possibility of carrying out thermostat diagnostics using data obtained from the OBD system through a diagnostic interface ELM327, which is connected to the OBD-II connector and interfaced with Torque Pro software on a smartphone. Analysis of the data confirmed that the proposed diagnostic method was appropriate. Furthermore, the impact of the thermostat malfunction on different factors such as coolant temperature, cold engine warm-up time, parameters characterising thermostat cycling, and fuel consumption of the car were studied. It was found that, apart from the already mentioned decrease in coolant temperature, the thermostat hysteresis also decreased and the thermostat cycle time increased.

In the contemporary enterprise all business processes can be carried out mainly thanks to company's information resources. Data loss in the case of disaster or system malfunction often results in disappearing the company from the market. In the paper possible causes of such scenario and methods how to prevent data loss and recover the system after disaster are presented.

Vibration diagnostics is of particular importance in rail transport safety systems because the signals received from vibration sensors installed on rolling stock, bridges, tunnels, and other infrastructure objects have great diagnostic information potential. Despite this, in practice, there are cases when the adequacy of the results of the vibration control and diagnostics task is not ensured. The reason is that the sampling step of the vibration signal does not change when the train speed changes. Given the need to change the sampling interval depending on the train speed, this article proposes an adaptive technology for vibration signal sampling that allows the building of intelligent systems of adaptive vibration control of malfunctions in rail transport.
