    Opis:
    This article is a scientific attempt to look at the problems of marriage and the family not only through reflection of theoretical nature, but also in the context of conducted student research. The first part of the article contains the theoretical foundations of empirical research by showing a rich perspective of scientific theories and concepts regarding the current condition and scientific understanding of such institutions as marriage and family. For the needs of this work, a systemic model of marriage and family was adopted. The family is an example of a natural system in the aspect of interpersonal relations (individual and social). The second part of the article is an analysis and interpretation of the obtained research results in terms of quantity and quality. The analysis is exploratory in nature based on the answers obtained to the questions contained in the research tool, which was the survey. Then the article contains an extensive summary and specific conclusions. The thesis is not only a compendium of some knowledge obtained in research, but also an ordered scientific concept. At the same time, the article has a pragmatic value because it can serve as an important, specific material for researchers of marriage and family issues, for students of various fields of study and for spouses, parents who are personally interested in these issues.

    Przedmiotem artykułu jest podjęcie naukowej refleksji nad specyfiką małżeństwa i rodziny jako systemu naturalnego na przełomie XX i XXI wieku. System rodzinny można rozpatrywać w różnych aspektach. Stąd też mówimy o ujęciu socjobiologicznym, psychodynamicznym, uczenia się, ujęcia kontekstualnego oraz o podejściu systemowym. Rodzina, jako naturalny system, posiada swoje właściwości, które jednocześnie stanowią fundamentalne kryteria do jego analizy i opisu. Wśród tych właściwości można wymienić, m.in. takie jak: zasada równowagi sił, tożsamość, zdolność do adaptacji, kształtowanie ról, hierarchiczna organizacja, własności sterownicze, właściwości sztywne, spoistość systemu, organizacja, mechanizacja, centralizacja, dominacja, ekwifinalność, dynamiczność, zmienność, ewoluowanie. Ostatnia część artykułu poświęcona jest istotnym elementom związanych z analizą przemian systemu rodzinnego na przełomie XX i XXI wieku.
    The article is to take a scientific reflection on the specific nature of marriage and the family as a natural system at the turn of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. The family can be seen in various aspects. Hence, we are talking about terms sociobiological naturalism, psychodynamic, learning, contextual approach and the approach system. The family as a natural system has its own characteristics, which together are the fundamental criteria for its analysis and description. These properties may include such as the principle of balance of power, identity, adaptability, shaping roles, hierarchical organization, ownership control, the properties of a rigid, cohesive system, organization, mechanization, centralization, domination, dynamism, variability, evolution. The last part of the article is devoted to the important elements related to the analysis of the transformation of the family system at the turn of the century.
