Opis:
The article points out that, according to Karol Wojtyła, a substantial spiritual soul is the essence of each man. It is the principle of his life and all of his acts. A substantial spiritual soul makes each man a person. The spiritual substance is the source of the immaterial, essentially personal, accidental beings such as cognition and free will. The substantial spirituality of the human soul is the guarantee of the essentially personal dimension of man-person, namely his vertical transcendence. Vertical transcendence, in turn, enables person’s ontic and moral integration. The authoress also mentions several dire consequences of removing a really existing substantial spiritual soul from the modern philosophical anthropology. Here are some of those consequences: the culture of death, discrimination of those who do not show any visible signs of consciousness or self-governance, losing freedom and being a slave to relational accidental beings such as society and socio-economic processes, removal of the objective truth from the realm of inner life, degradation of the human body treated as a purely material organism, clinging to the senses and the visible, even in religious experiences, etc.

Opis:
The article provides theoretical analysis of dynamics of love and its connection with the truth about a person, in the context of ethical and metaphysical personalism. The considerations begin with the presentation of a philosophical controversy between the phenomenological and personalist recognition of love; the first indicates the empirical nature of love, whereas the second is complemented by ethics – virtue of love, related to the moral duty. Further the author undertakes to analyze the development of love including metaphysical and psychological aspects, which ends with a description of the imitations of love in the face of the mature, complete love, taking into account the truth about a person and representing the goal of education.

Opis:
This study begins with a brief outline of the essence of the whole encyclical Caritas in veritate. Benedict XVI expresses the desire for „the dialogue with the world”. He understands this dialogue as a special kind of the service of the Church towards eternal love and truth, fully revealed in Christ. The dialogue of the Church with the world, in the spirit of love and truth, is accomplished every day at the level of so-called official relations. There are numerous opinions that in the past the Church repeatedly neglected the dialogue with the world. Indeed, the Church historians point out the existence of examples of the fall of the authority of the Holy See in particular countries and circumstances. Similarly, the Church is the sign of objection in the contemporary world. Instructed by past experiences the Church is aware that what is necessary for the renewal of culture and society, is evangelical love and truth.

Opis:
Christianity has one answer for man’s purpose on earth. The mission is the proclamation of the divine message which Jesus Christ brought to earth. From this mission, which is beyond human strength but at human scale at the same time, no person is exempt. How effective can a Christian fulfil this principle, at the same time following the rules of loving their neighbours, respecting freedoms of the individual, creating peace, and proclaiming truth and justice? How to proclaim these values among non‑believers to form the basis for coming together and dialogue? After making order from answers to these questions in the context of the mission of the media; I deep dive on how to adapt these conclusions to communication within the society in transformational times. I ask how the timeless media mission, creating peace, is responding to current times of transformation and competition among different value frameworks. What are the limits of acceptable and unacceptable means by which the media can fulfil their mission? I discuss the militaristic rhetoric, and the tolerable limits of its application. Concluding I propose a „defensive shield” serving as a radar to detect occurrences where compromising on the imperative to do good implicates contradiction of the fundamental mission of the media.

Opis:
Back to determine apology faith in the post-conciliar theology, including practical theology, is a reference to the Fathers of the Church, the creators of the first apology, and to some concepts of the Bible, but also taking action in the spirit of the Council, which confirmed the achievements of grassroots movements in the Church, in order to the rediscovery of the Bible, the liturgy and the Fathers of the Church. Recognized in this way an apologia for faith means more than just protecting the faith, is the justification. The author first explains the meaning of the individual words contained in the title, then points to the contexts of apology for the faith, which is import_ant for its application in the teaching of religion, but also for the sake of teaching, when the disciples are to be witnesses to the faith. The headline of the article shows two faces apology, defense of faith and the reasons for it, referring to the contemporary problems faced by the teaching of the Catholic religion.

Opis:
The Christian concept of beauty, art, an artist formulated by C.K. Norwid and presented in his Promethidion, clearly refers to the experience of fine arts. The reference to the arts-creating process makes and blends together Norwid’s concept. In order to formulate the definition of beauty, Norwid uses three terms: shape, profile and form. In fine arts these terms have specific meanings, they relate to one another, defining particular stages of a process of creation. Understanding the form as a matrix seems to be significant in Norwid’s concept. It allows seeing the man’s work as an image of God’s act of creation. Humans, created in the image and likeness of God, are capable of creating. We were invited to create beauty and good and thanks to them we discover God as the source of transcendent values and we get close to Him.
Chrześcijańska koncepcja piękna, sztuki, artysty sformułowana przez Cypriana Kamila Norwida i przedstawiona na kartach Promethidionu w wyraźny sposób odwołuje się do doświadczenia sztuk pięknych. Odniesienie do plastycznego procesu twórczego w dużej mierze norwidowską koncepcję buduje i scala. Dla sformułowania definicji piękna Norwid używa trzech określeń: kształt, profil i forma. W sztukach pięknych wspomniane hasła mają swoje specyficzne znaczenia, pozostają we wzajemnych relacjach definiując poszczególne etapy procesu twórczego.
