Opis:
Designing a warehouse layout is an important problem, which plays a role in a life cycle of a company. Generally, two main types of layout decision problems are mentioned in literature. The first problem is usually called facility layout problem while the second one is internal layout designing problem or aisle configuration problem. Merging them both, the procedure for rational searching of optimal warehouse layout is prepared. It was decided to prepare the procedure as an optimisation procedure of functional and spatial areas. The procedure is a part of the logistics facilities designing method because a sketch layout of logistics facility is an important part of the method of logistic facilities designing. The paper briefly describes the location of the procedure in the method. Regarding functional and spatial layouts designing, model was expanded with mathematical formulas of certain geometrical parameters. Particular emphasis on warehouse geometry is important due to the fact that many other issues depend on these parameters in warehouse designing process. The paper consists of a problem definition, mathematical model formulation and precise descriptions adequate to mathematic notations. What is more, the example of procedure application implemented into the software is given. The software is the implementation of the procedure and the whole method itself.

This paper presents a proposal of multi-criteria optimization methods in the selection of vehicles in warehouse logistics (storage of goods and building materials). Multi-objective optimization was shown on the example of the selection of forklift trucks available on a domestic market. For this purpose there were Bellinger and Electre III methods used, describing their basic assumptions and evaluating their strengths and weaknesses. In addition, the results obtained with both variants of decision-making methods were compared with the use of ranking.
W artykule przedstawiono propozycję zastosowania metod optymalizacji wielokryterialnej w procesie doboru środków transportowych w logistyce magazynowej (magazyny wyrobów i materiałów budowlanych). Optymalizacja wielokryterialna została pokazana na przykładzie doboru wózków widłowych dostępnych na rynku krajowym. Wykorzystano do tego celu metody Bellingera i Electre III, opisując ich podstawowe założenia oraz dokonując oceny ich wad i zalet. Ponadto porównano wyniki rankingu wariantów decyzyjnych otrzymanych obiema metodami.

One of the basic factors influencing the functioning of production enterprises is the correct inventory management. The paper presents an analysis of the impact of the number of picking aisles, slots in a rack, the size of pick lists, and the routing method on the performance of the order picking process. In the analysis, the forklift truck’s maneuvers such as turns back and turns aside, omitted by some scientists, are considered. Although only random storage assignment is examined in this paper, the possible congestion effect is considered. Experiments were performed by the use of simulations.

The pressure connected with cost cutting parallel to an increase in consumer service quality as well as speeding up the flow of goods are the result of a worldwide economy trend connected with big competition in the market. That is why in modern economy even small movements of goods at short distances are becoming more and more important. The order picking problems in a warehouse are an important aspect in improving the productivity of modern logistic hubs. According to various estimates, the costs associated with order picking in a warehouse are from 55 to 65% of the total material handling costs. The author, using simulation tools, examines the influence of order picking zone’s configuration on the time of the order picking process. By means of the implemented simulation methods, it is possible to match the appropriate order picking process to the needs of a given enterprise.

Celem artykułu jest charakterystyka procesu inwentaryzacji w systemach logistycznych przedsiębiorstwa handlu detalicznego wielko-powierzchniowego, poprzez wskazanie jego celu, zakresu, etapów oraz obowiązu-jących zasad. Pierwsza jego część będzie zawierać opis badanego podmiotu w trzech wymiarach, tj. podmiotowym, rzeczowym oraz czynnościowym. Wynikiem końcowym będzie identyfikacja jego struktury organizacyjnej oraz opracowanie planu zagospodarowania jego powierzchni. Dodatkowo wskazany zostanie zakres stosowanych urządzeń technicznych oraz zidentyfikowane będą główne procesy logistyczne. Druga część referatu będzie omawiać pojęcie „inwentaryzacja”, cele szczegółowe tego procesu oraz zawierać będzie jego charakterystykę, przyjmując kryterium zakresu, rodzaju, sposobu przeprowadzenia oraz metody. Ponadto zostanie wskazany obowiązujący termin realizacji inwentaryzacji, jej zakres przedmiotowy oraz osoby odpowiedzialne. W trzeciej części publikacji wyznaczone zostaną etapy procesu inwentaryzacji na potrzeby badanego systemu wraz z podaniem harmonogramu ich realizacji. Omówione zostaną podstawowe zasady obowiązujące oraz powszechnie stosowane dokumenty. W końcowej części referatu przedstawione będą błędy, jakie mogą wystąpić podczas realizacji tego procesu oraz wskazane zostaną ich przyczyny.
The aim of this paper is the characteristic of an inventory process in the logistic system of a large-area retail enterprises defining a purpose, scope, responsibilities, stages and rules. The first part will contain a description of the audited subject in three dimensions, it means: subjective, objective and functional. The final result will be to identify the organizational structure and to prepare a development plan of its area. Additionally it will be indicated the applied technical equipment and the main logistic processes will be identified. The second part of the paper will be devoted to the concept of inventory, the specific objectives of this process and will include the characteristics of accepting the criteria of scope, type and manner of conducting the method. There will be also indicated a valid inventory deadline, its scope and responsible individuals. In the third part of the paper on the needs of logistics system there will be indicated the stages of this process, together with a timetable for their implementation. We will discuss the basic rules and commonly used documents. In the final part of the paper there will be presented the errors that may occur during the inventory process and there will be indicated their reasons.

Artykuł poświęcony jest metodą heurystycznym w zadaniu optymalizacji procesów magazynowych. Ze względu na dużą złożoność procesów zachodzących w magazynie aby dobrze opisać i oszacować te procesy tradycyjne metody analizy danych nie spełniają swojego zastosowania. W celu agregacji reguł postępowania i znalezienie jak najlepszych czyli optymalnych procesów magazynowych autor zaproponował metodę heurystyczną. W tym celu zostały przedstawione kolejne etapy tworzenia modelu w programie AnyLogic. Pozwala to na budowę modelu magazynu oraz poprzez parametryzowanie jego czynników szukanie najlepszych rozwiązań. Metoda oparta na heurystykach mająca zastosowanie w programie AnyLogic pozwala na tworzeni optymalnych rozwiązań oraz wskazuje na wąskie gardła jakie mogą pojawić się przy równych obciążeniach systemu.
The article is devoted to the heuristic method in the task of optimizing warehouse processes. Due to the high complexity of the processes in the warehouse, in order to describe and evaluate these processes well, traditional data analysis methods do not meet their application. In order to aggregate the rules of conduct and find the best or optimal warehouse processes, the author proposed a heuristic method. For this purpose, the next steps in creating a model in AnyLogic were presented. This allows you to build a warehouse model and by parameterizing its factors to find the best solution. AnyLogic's heuristic-based heuristics method makes it possible to create optimal solutions and pinpoint the bottlenecks that can occur with equal load on the system.

ncrease in the number of orders, the increasing quality requirements and the speed of order preparation require implementation of new solutions and improvement of logistics processes. Any disruption that occurs during execution of an order often leads to customer dissatisfaction, as well as loss of his/her confidence. The article presents a case study of the use of quality engineering methods and tools to improve the e-commerce logistic process. This made it possible to identify and prioritize key issues, identify their causes, and formulate improvement and prevention measures.

Background: The publications can be found in the literature, which show the volumes of commercial warehouse areas in Poland. These data are used for evaluations of logistics attractiveness of voivodships. These evaluations influence decisions of local authorities, which create planning of territorial development and investment climate as well as decisions of investors, and as a consequence, they influence the economic regional development and local labor market. But the publications from various sources related to the subject of commercial areas of warehouses in various voivodships in Poland vary from each other and therefore they do not allow the evaluation of their real value. The aim of this paper was the identification of economic and infrastructure factors and their influence on the size and dynamics of the increase of commercial warehouse areas in Poland together with the market evaluation. Methods: The analysis of existing data covering available information about the characteristic features of the market of commercial warehouse areas in Poland was conducted. The following source documents were taken into account: reports prepared by research bodies and real estate agencies, materials and trade information published by owners of warehouse properties, professional press and opinion of market analysts. Additionally, the analysis of key success factors determining functioning of the market of warehouse areas was used as a tool of the strategic analysis. Results: Based on the conducted researches the areas of commercial warehouses in Poland and in each voivodship were calculated. The key indicators stimulating the development of this area were presented. The most important types of investors were defined and their shares in total investigated area were estimated. The supply and the demand were estimated and the values of rental rates and indicators of unused areas were given. The group of tenants was described as well as the structure of signed agreements and their share in total rental market. The author used also some of his own researches published in reports on the condition of the logistics in Poland. Conclusions: There is a relationship between the range and the dynamics of increase of commercial warehouse areas and the economic conditions (described by key macro-economic indicators) and the development of transport infrastructure as well as local economic and social conditions. Obtained results can be used by local authorities in territorial development and as a support for economic decisions, as well as by investors interested in construction of warehouses and their renting. The variability in time of presented values and their dependences on various factors shows the purposefulness of further researches in this area.
Wstęp: W literaturze publikowane są dane dotyczące wielkości komercyjnej powierzchni magazynowej w Polsce, które są wykorzystywane do oceny atrakcyjności logistycznej poszczególnych województw. Oceny mają wpływ na decyzje organów samorządowych kształtujących politykę przestrzenną i klimat inwestycyjny oraz na decyzje inwestorów, a poprzez nie na rozwój gospodarczy regionów i lokalne rynki pracy. Jednak publikowane w różnych źródłach dane dotyczące wielkości komercyjnej powierzchni magazynowej w poszczególnych województwach w Polsce są zróżnicowane i nie pozwalają ocenić ich rzeczywistych wartości. Celem pracy jest identyfikacja czynników ekonomicznych i infrastrukturalnych oraz ich wpływu na wielkość i dynamikę wzrostu komercyjnej powierzchni magazynowej w Polsce wraz z oceną rynku. Metody: Analiza danych zastanych obejmująca przegląd dostępnych danych i informacji pozwalających na charakterystykę rynku komercyjnej powierzchni magazynowej w Polsce. Analizie zostały poddane raporty instytucji badawczych i agencji nieruchomości przemysłowych, materiały i informacje handlowe publikowanie przez właścicieli nieruchomości magazynowych, prasa branżowa oraz opinie analityków rynku. Ponadto zostało wykorzystane narzędzie analizy strategicznej w postaci analizy kluczowych czynników sukcesu determinujących funkcjonowanie rynku powierzchni magazynowych. Wyniki: Na podstawie przeprowadzonych badań obliczono wielkość komercyjnej powierzchni magazynowej w Polsce i w poszczególnych województwach w badanym okresie, oraz kluczowe czynniki warunkujące jej rozwój. Wskazano najważniejsze rodzaje inwestorów i określono ich udziały w wielkości badanej powierzchni. Oceniono podaż i popyt, a dla poszczególnych województw dysponujących tego rodzaju powierzchnią magazynową podano wartości stawek czynszu oraz wskaźniki powierzchni niewynajętej. Wskazano także branże występujące w grupie najemców oraz rodzaje zawieranych umów najmu i ich udział w wielkości najmu ogółem. Autor wykorzystał również w niniejszym artykule część wyników badań własnych opublikowanych w raportach dotyczących stanu logistyki w Polsce. Wnioski: Istnieje zależność pomiędzy wielkością i dynamiką wzrostu komercyjnej powierzchni magazynowych, a stanem gospodarki wyrażonym za pomocą kluczowych wskaźników makroekonomicznych oraz rozwojem infrastruktury transportu, a także lokalnych uwarunkowań gospodarczych i społecznych. Wyniki mogą być wykorzystane przez jednostki samorządu terytorialnego w pracach planistycznych i decyzjach dotyczących gospodarki przestrzennej oraz kierunków rozwoju gospodarczego, a także przez inwestorów zainteresowanych zarówno budową obiektów magazynowych jak i wynajmem powierzchni magazynowej. Zmienność w czasie wartości przedstawionych danych liczbowych i ich zależność od różnych czynników wskazuje na celowość kontynuacji badań w zakresie i przedziale czasu podanym przez autora.

This article addresses the issue of the Pick By Line Process used by the logistics company, with the impeachment application, that is the improvement implementation in the PBL distribution channel, by developing the system solution to ensure a uniform distribution of the assortment line in the absence of 100% of assortment by the supplier, in order to improve the product availability for the customers in the aforementioned situation. In the logistics company, the modern solutions were used to monitor the functionality of limiting the stock status of goods, as well as of increasing the warehouse capacity in the number of the assortment lines. The method of quantitative observation was used to develop the program concept at the aforementioned workstation based on available literature.

W pracy przedstawiono wielkość i strukturę przepływów surowcowo-materiałowych w fazie zaopatrzenia gospodarstw jak również potencjał magazynowy oraz jego wykorzystanie. Badania przeprowadzono na próbie 30 gospodarstw z rejonu Małopolski. Badania wykazały, iż średnio w roku badane gospodarstwa zakupywały 3,4 tźha-1 środków produkcji pochodzenia rolniczego i nierolniczego, z czego 17,6% to materiały i surowce bezpośrednie a 82,4% pośrednie. Środki produkcji bezpośrednie zakupywano średnio 2 razy w roku, a okres ich przechowywania nie przekraczał 3 miesięcy. Natomiast środki produkcji pośrednie zakupywano również 3 razy w roku, ale okres ich przechowywania był znacznie dłuższy i wynosił 8 miesięcy.
The paper presents magnitude and structure of raw material and other supply flows within supply organization of farms as well as the warehousing facilitation and its use. The research was conducted based on a sample of 30 farms located in the Region of Małopolska. It indicated that these farms were purchasing 3.4 tons per hectare of both agricultural and non-agricultural production means on the average; whereas 17.6% appeared to be direct materials and raw materials, while 82.4% were classified as indirect materials. The direct means of production were purchased 2 times a year on the average, and time of storage did not exceed 3 months. On the other hand, the indirect production means were purchased also 3 times a year, but the storage time was much longer - up to 8 months.

Many different kinds of automation are saving great amount of time and money in e-commerce. This paper gives an overview of the current applications and future of robots in e-commerce and discusses the various factors that that are important to choosing the best approach in ‘last-mile-delivery’. It discusses advantages and disadvantages of autonomous vehicles, questions about safety and reliability and marketing effect. Automation at earlier stages of supply chain, less visible for clients has more impact on delivery process economics.
