- The present paper is designed to show how playful activities, practised in a language class, are likely to enhance both teacher – students and students – students interaction. First, it is demonstrated how plays might increase the atmosphere of confi dence during class hours. Then, it is shown in what respects plays are essential to establish interaction. Finally, plays are dealt with as a device that can be conveniently deployed in language teaching-learning conceived of as an action.
