Opis:: Purpose – The aim of this paper is to present the indicators of labour productivity and dilemmas related to their interpretation. The paper examines the level of this phenomenon in the enterprise sector within the Polish economy. Research method – The measurement of labour productivity in the enterprise sector will be made using the indicators calculated on the basis of available data from the national statistics of the Central Statistical Office in the years 2005-2017 and the unpublished data from the years 2005-2013. Results – The theoretical considerations on labour productivity have shown that a set of available indicators should be used and complemented with the index of technical equipment. The labour productivity in the enterprise sector was varied. In the years 2005-2017 it grew quite dynamically until 2013, however after this year it clearly decreased. Since 2014 there has been a more rapid increase in the labour costs (including wages) than in terms of the labour productivity. Implications /originality /value – The majority of the previous research available focuses on one of the measures of labour productivity, which is the relation of sales revenue (or gross added value) to the number of employees. The paper includes those indicators that contributed to an ambiguously positive image of the studied phenomenon and confirmed the legitimacy of using at least several different measures. In addition, this productivity was tested at the level of the PKD 2007 sections

Opis:: Labour productivity is a key factor of economic growth and change in living standards and plays an important role as a measure of the competitiveness of countries. Both the increase and decrease in productivity affects the functioning of all forms of economic activity. The lack of awareness of this fact may have a negative effect on the fate of investments. This is particularly evident in the case of industrial companies. The purpose of this article was to examine the external and internal determinants defining performance in Poland and the analysis and evaluation of selected countries. The period under research was 2001–2014, although at times this time period was extended to earlier years or shortened, depending on the availability of data. Analysis of theoretical and empirical research results both for EU and OECD countries has shown that awareness of the direction in which productivity is moving, is essential for the functioning of national economies. Productivity can be moulded, so it is important to understand that it is dependent on the conditions offered by the employer. It is difficult to explicitly specify its degree of impact. Any change positive or negative experienced by employees will have a larger or smaller effect on productivity. In the analysed period, it was found that there is a high productivity in Poland; however, this is not equivalent to high value of goods produced by workers. Despite the apparent significant improvement in the indicators since 1989, Poland has a long way to go before levelling with the richest countries in the European Union and the OECD

Opis:: The aim of the article was to specify and analyze the replacement value of farm buildings and the annual and unitary costs of their operation in terms of labor productivity. For comparative analysis of the test objects, these objects were divided into area groups: to 10 ha, from 10.01 to 20.00 ha and above 20 ha of arable land. The scope of research included organic farms located in the mountain region specializing in livestock production.
Celem artykułu było określenie i analiza wartości odtworzeniowej budynków gospodarskich i rocznych oraz jednostkowe koszty ich działalności w zakresie wydajności pracy. Do analizy porównawczej obiektów badań, obiekty te zostały podzielone na grupy wg powierzchni: do 10 ha, od 10.01 do 20.00 ha i powyżej 20 ha użytków rolnych. Zakres badań obejmował gospodarstwa ekologicznych znajdujące się w górskim regionie i specjalizujące się w produkcji zwierzęcej.
