Opis:
Satellite technologies of communication, navigation and surveillance play an important role in modern transport, and particularly in aviation. High effectiveness of global air navigation system is provided by applying data broadcasted from great numbers of satellites, located on Earth orbits. The totality of existing satellite navigation system forms global radio navigation field which parameters should be constantly monitored and controlled for providing safety requirements. The aim of this article is to share experience of creating a laboratory of satellite technologies at the National Aviation University that performs simultaneously educational and scientific tasks.

Artykuł pokazuje jak można prowadzić ciągłą formację katechetów w sposób bardziej dostosowany do współczesnych potrzeb. Dziś już nie można mówić o jednolitym społeczeństwie, gdzie spotykamy się z takimi samymi trudnościami i problemami. Z drugiej strony, nasze społeczeństwo charakteryzuje się ciągłą zmianą i płynnością. Laboratorium, jako metoda ciągłej formacji katechetów, szuka aktywnego sposobu, by wyjść naprzeciw tym oczekiwaniom. Laboratorium jako metoda formacji katechetów posiada cechy i zalety wykraczające daleko poza inne tradycyjne metody formacji katechetów, co wyraźnie czyni tę metodę lepszą formą ciągłej formacji dla nich. Opis cech i zalet tej metody został omówiony w tekście.
This article seeks to show how the on-going formation of catechists can be more adapted to the contemporary needs of catechists. Today, we can no longer speak of a homogeneous society which encounters the same difficulties and problems. On the other hand, our society is characterised by fluidity and constant change. The laboratory as a method for the on-going formation of catechists seeks to actively meet this demand. The laboratory as a method for the formation of catechists is undergirded by characteristics and advantages over and above the other traditional methods of catechist formation which clearly make it the preferred method for the on-going formation of catechists today. These characteristics and advantages are explored in the text.

Laboratories have made considerable use of laminar airflow cabinets to create a microorganism-free environment with excellent and consistent results. Providing a laminar airflow cabinet at a high price is one of the factors involved. Consequently, a similar-functioning alternative to the standard laminar airflow tool is required. The objective of this research was to create a miniature laminar airflow cabinet. Interview and observational data were collected via questionnaires for the experiments. Examination of the data utilized by the Likert scale mini laminar airflow (MLAF) was able to create a sterile workplace with the high efficacy of laminar airflow, HEPA filtration, and a high air-change rate, as demonstrated by the results. 82.50% of respondents indicated that the effectiveness of MLAF supported any laboratory work requiring a sterile environment, as indicated by the mean questionnaire answer.

The article depicts a history and a present day of GDDKiA Bydgoszcz Branch Road Laboratory. It presents the pioneer years of building an institution and its development though a number of structural transformations. Finally, it shows that Technology Division has real possibilities to improve the qualities of road engineering within Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship.

Clothing Construction, an integral part of Home Economics is concerned with imparting in students skills in drafting, adaption and sewing of different garments and accessories. These skills which are taught in a laboratory equipped with equipment and tools which do pose sources of danger to those involved in the laboratory activities when not properly handled. This study was therefore designed to identify safety practices that should be adopted by users of this laboratory. Specifically, the study sought to identify the ideal safety practices important for adoption and also, the safety practices presently adopted in this laboratory by its users. A descriptive survey design was used for the study. Structured questionnaire was used for data collection. The data collected was analyzed using mean. Twenty-one safety practices ideal for adoption, 18 safety practices were presently adopted and 17 safety practices required for adoption were identified. Based on the findings, the authors recommended that those 17 safety practices should be enforced and the users encouraged to adhere to the safety practices for their good. The adoption of these safety practices will enable the users work in a safe and conducive environment which will enhance learning of clothing construction skills.

W artykule przedstawiono przesłanki i efekty modernizacji Laboratorium Podstaw Pomiarów na Wydziale Elektroniki i Technik Informacyjnych Politechniki Warszawskiej. Zastosowanie licznych nowatorskich rozwiązań składających się na kompleksową modernizację spowodowało zdecydowana poprawę jego oceny przez studentów – bez obniżania poziomu nauczania.
Complex modernization of Measurement Fundamentals Laboratory in the Faculty of Electronics and Information Technology Warsaw University of Technology is described in this presentation. Due to the negative critical opinion of students we decided to implement new ideas into our educational system. All aspects of laboratory functioning were modified i.e. the teaching program, lab organization, equipment, IT system and personnel duties. Totally new high quality equipment was bought via the European funds. Laboratory manuals and information’s for each experiment also instruments data are available in Intranet. Student reports are entirely prepared on computers during each session and stored in electronic form on the faculty server later. Multimedia presentations and simulations acting as additional aids were also prepared and given to students. So-called Open Laboratory sessions were additionally introduced. Our students can practice on available equipment and prepare themselves to regular sessions. We have already finished the first semester of the new lab. The special survey was conducted. Students have evaluated very positively the new form of our laboratory and recognized them as being more friendly. From the point of the staff view it was achieved without any decrease of educationally required qualifications. The modernization was realized by the team of 10 persons during the period of two years.

W artykule przedstawiono kompetencje Laboratorium Badań Systemów Optoelektronicznych Wojskowego Instytutu Technicznego w procesie pozyskiwania i eksploatacji systemów optoelektronicznych. Wyspecyfikowano asortyment użytkowanego w Siłach Zbrojnych RP sprzętu optoelektronicznego z wyszczególnieniem istotnych charakterystyk technicznych. Zaprezentowano kompetencje techniczne, w tym posiadane wyposażenie badawcze do weryfikacji i oceny parametrów systemów nokto i termowizyjnych.
The paper presents competences of the Military Institute of Armament Technology Laboratory for Testing Optoelectronic Systems used to acquisition and handling the optoelectronic systems. The selection of optoelectronic equipment and its performance used by the Polish Armed Forces is specified. Technological competences including the testing equipment used to verify and evaluate the characteristics of night-vision and thermo-vision systems are presented, as well.

The assimilation of practical knowledge by pupils and students of technical education institutions requires those institutions to have the necessary laboratory facilities. Practical discovery of phenomena allows them to confront theoretical knowledge with practice. The article presents an innovative laboratory of hydrotronics and automatic control of mobile robot drives, which has been founded at the Institute of Mechanical Engineering of the Mechanical Faculty of the Military University of Technology. The laboratory conducts classes on the design and operation of hydrotronic drive systems, which are used as drive systems for mobile robots.
Przyswajanie wiedzy praktycznej przez uczniów i studentów placówek dydaktycznych o profilu technicznym wymaga posiadania niezbędnego zaplecza laboratoryjnego. Praktyczne poznanie zjawisk pozwala skonfrontować wiedzę teoretyczną z praktyką. W artykule zaprezentowano innowacyjne laboratorium hydrotroniki i automatyki napędów robotów mobilnych, które powstało w Instytucie Budowy Maszyn Wydziału Mechanicznego WAT. W laboratorium prowadzone są zajęcia z zakresu budowy i eksploatacji hydrotronicznych układów napędowych, które wykorzystywane są w charakterze układów napędowych robotów mobilnych.

Laboratorium Zarządzania i Integracji Systemów Automatyki Budynków powstało na Wydziale Elektrotechniki Automatyki Politechniki Gdańskiej w ramach części projektu „Sieć certyfikowanych laboratoriów oceny efektywności energetycznej i automatyki budynków”. Projekt realizowany przez konsorcjum AGH, Politechniki Poznańskiej i Politechniki Gdańskiej był współfinansowany ze środków Unii Europejskiej w ramach Programu Operacyjnego Innowacyjna Gospodarka. W artykule opisano przeznaczenie laboratorium oraz znajdujące się w nim stanowiska laboratoryjne i wyposażenie. Przedstawiono również możliwości badawcze i plany najbliższych prac badawczo-rozwojowych możliwych do zrealizowania w oparciu o wyposażenie laboratorium.
Laboratory of Building Automation Systems Management and Integration was established at the Faculty of Electrical and Control Engineering Gdansk University of Technology as part of the project "The network of certified laboratories for assessing energy efficiency and building automation”. The project implemented by a consortium of AGH, University of Poznan and Gdansk University of Technology was co-financed by the European Union under the Innovative Economy Operational Programme. The article describes the purpose of the laboratory, the laboratory equipment and research capabilities. Plans for the next research and development based on the laboratory equipment are also presented.
