    Article presents author’s reflections on dialogs and discussions which took place during master seminar for geography students leading by him. The main issue of the seminar was enumerated by the following questions: – What is wisdom? – Where one can find wisdom? – What is the measure of wisdom? Students shared with their professor different personal thoughts which allowed him to ponder his own opinion. The article is composed of three parts. The first one – introduction shows the background of presenting problem, the second part included different contexts of wisdom: i.e. cognition, understanding, granting, occurring. In the third part – the conclusion, Author proposes answers to the three questions stating as follows: wisdom is the need of truth, one can find it in everyday life, the measure of wisdom is the willingness to offer it to the other human being.
    Artykuł prezentuje refleksje autorskie poświęcone debatom, które miały miejsce podczas prowadzonego seminarium magisterskiego dla studentów. Istotą było poszukiwanie odpowiedzi na pytania: Czym jest mądrość? Gdzie należy jej poszukiwać? Co można uznać za miarę mądrości? Rozważania obejmują wprowadzenie teoretyczne, charakterystykę kontekstów mądrości (poznawania, rozumienia darowania i wydarzania) oraz podsumowanie.

    The article starts with an analysis of the causes of the crisis of truth in the contemporary world. The author emphasizes that a dialog is only possible when the classical (epistemic, logical), and at the same time commonsensical definition of the truth is assumed; one that understands the truth as ‘adequacy of the thought and reality’. One cannot have a dialog if he accepts the coherence, consensual, pragmatic or convention definition of the truth. A good deal of attention in the article is devoted to the issue of the truth of the utterance. The problem of truthfulness is emphasized, as a basic principle of a dialog, and the reader’s attention is drawn to various kinds of departing from the truth of the utterance: intellectual – mistake, error, falsehood, and moral – lie, half-truth, concealment, exaggeration, masking utterance, fraud and stratagem, gossip or over-interpretation. In the question of the truth both its essential (what contents there are in the truth) and existential (what meaning for our life these contents have) aspect is important. Hence, one always should pay attention not only to the information role of the truth (it is the source of knowledge), but also to its wisdom function (it teaches the art of life). Discovering and understanding the truth in a dialog serves both appreciating “the value of life” (learning its sense) and perfecting the “quality of life”.

    Zmiany, jakie dotykają sektor kultury, nie omijają jej znaczącego elementu – kadr realizujących działalność kulturalną. Szczególnym przejawem zmian w tym obszarze a głównie w ostatniej dekadzie, jest silna presja ukierunkowania na permanentne podnoszenie kompetencji utożsamiane z rozwojem zawodowym i profesjonalizacją działań w kulturze. Presja jest tym silniejsza, im mocniejsze jest przekonanie rynków i gospodarek o rosnącej, w skali europejskiej i światowej, wartości ekonomicznej tak zwanych przemysłów kultury i przemysłów kreatywnych. W ślad za tym pojawiają się coraz liczniej propozycje szkoleniowe skierowane do przedstawicieli instytucji i organizacji kulturalnych. Analizując wyniki badań nad aktualnymi i pożądanymi kompetencjami kadr kultury, opublikowane w raportach pochodzących z lat 2013-2015, narasta zaniepokojenie ufundowane na przekonaniu, że coraz częściej to co w kulturze wartościowe, zastępowane jest kategorią użyteczności, efektywności, tymczasowości i zysku. Próbą wprowadzenia do dyskursu czynnika równoważącego ten obraz jest prezentowany artykuł.
    The changes that occurred in the cultural sector have affected its significant tissue – professionals who work in different areas of that sector. A strong emphasis put on a permanent increase of competences of culture staff (identified and equalled with professional development) has become a particular manifestation of this trend during the last decade. The stronger is a conviction (the European and world market have) about the economical value of the so called “culture and creative industry”, the stronger is the pressure. Following this tendency a lot of training proposals addressed to the staff of culture institutions and culture organizations appear in the educational market. The results of research (2013-2015) on competencies (both those expected and present) of the professionals in culture raise concern. The anxiety comes from a conviction that what is important and valuable in culture is being gradually replaced by the categories of usefulness, effectiveness, temporariness and profitability. This paper is an attempt to enrich the discourse in the field with balancing ideas.

    The paper investigates both the causes and effects of the rapid increase in the data volume (Big Data) and their impact on human cognition. The role of the Internet in distributing and exchanging of such data, and their impact on the growth of the Information Society are emphasized. As a result, Wisdom Science – a new kind of research – emerges which has the potential to facilitate more advanced solutions in the digital world. In consequence, new kinds of info-driven devices, services and systems called “smart” are developed and applied in almost every aspect of human activities around the world. However, this is not enough for humans to use all those well-informed smart devices and systems because, first of all, their decisions should be wise. Therefore, the paper, coming from a cognitive informatics approach defines wisdom and its applications, illustrated by some practical cases. Based on this, relations between knowledge and wisdom are shown, and human abilities corresponding to them are defined. They can decide about a transformation of a knowledge society to a wisdom society.

Odpowiedź na te pytania wymaga wyjaśnienia źródeł, istoty i następstw zarówno tradycyjnie znanego „blasku” filozofii w trakcie jej ewolucji, jak i nieuchwytnego i nie uświadomionego jeszcze zjawiska jej „nędzy”.
    The author reflects the crisis situation of philosophical knowledge answering the following questions: why philosophy is no longer needed and what should be done to save it from this crisis? The answers require learning the sources, being and consequences of its traditionally known “shine” throughout its evolution as well as its subtle “poverty”.

    The contemporary science can be defined in a cybernetic language as a self-organising system. The development of this system is guided and controlled by streams of information items produced by science. At present this development assumes more and more clearly the shape of the evolutionary variability. In its input there are data. Their united sets constitute information items which, owing to their bringing together, form the human knowledge. Integration process of the human knowledge results in the wisdom. In this way the post-industrial science has an evolutionary character coming in a form of a system “from information towards wisdom”. It is very important to state a simple sum of data not to give any information, and as well a simple sum of information items not to give any knowledge, and then a simple sum of items which constitute knowledge not to give any wisdom. Only the process of integration causes a conversion from a lower level of cognition to its higher one. The essence of this process seems to be inspired by a creative intuition of an explorer-researcher who executes the above mentioned integration.

    The purpose of the considerations presented in this article is to analyze the status of philosophy in terms of its problem-solving potential, or, more simply, to trace the possible topographies of a philosophical path. The point of departure, but also the central subject of my research, is a passage from Plato’s The Symposium (201d–204c), containing an emblematic, though ambiguous, description of a philosophical journey. The key problems that this description poses, particularly in the area of its metaphilosophical consequences, certainly deserve a more profound reflection. Therefore, in the subsequent sections of the article, I present – and critically discuss – some of the most significant interpretations of Plato’s passage, emphasizing their (meta) philosophical implications. The latter, in turn, are organized according to the categories of the modes of philosophy, as proposed by Sextus Empiricus (Pyr., I, 1–4). On the basis of the proposed reflection upon the topography of the philosophical path and upon the character of the generally accepted model of knowledge, I endeavor to provide an explanation that, while avoiding the reefs of dogmatic consequences of thinking about philosophy, would account for – and acknowledge – the uncertainty inscribed in philosophy, both with respect to particular resolutions and with respect to the possibility of its own self-fulfillment. For this purpose, other narratives of paths, journeying, and pursuits – metaphorically unlike those offered by Plato, prove useful.
    Zasadniczym celem rozważań w tym artykule jest analiza statusu filozofii w zakresie jej spełnialności czy też po prostu możliwe topografie drogi filozoficznej. Punktem wyjścia i zarazem głównym przedmiotem dociekań jest ustęp z Uczty Platona (20 d–204c), w którym znaleźć można emblematyczny, choć niejednoznaczny opis podróży filozoficznej. Warto pokazać kluczowe trudności związane z tym opisem, a przede wszystkim jego metafilozoficzne konsekwencje. Ukazane i krytycznie omówione zostaną wybrane znaczące interpretacje tego fragmentu z uwypukleniem ich (meta)filozoficznych implikacji, a te zostaną skatalogowane w świetle Sextusowego podziału filozofii (Pyr., I, 1-4). Na podstawi refleksji na temat topografii drogi filozoficznej, a także akceptowanego modelu wiedzy, zaproponowana zostanie taka wykładnia, która stara się ominąć silnie dogmatyczne konsekwencje myślenia o filozofii, jednocześnie akceptując zawartą w niej niepewność, zarówno w odniesieniu do konkretnych rozstrzygnięć, jak i w stosunku do własnej spełnialności. W tym celu wykorzystane zostaną metaforycznie inne niż Platońskie opowieści o drogach i dążeniu.

    In this paper, the most important aspects of the implementation strategy of innovation in the enterprise, from the generation strategies through strategic analysis to the implementation of the strategy. Will be presented original model generation strategy by giving meaning to data, information and knowledge. Strategy is presented as the wisdom of the organization, based on systems thinking, trans-disciplinary and interdisciplinary and the use of heuristics. Presented is a model of innovation strategy based on the values and the creative process.
    W artykule przedstawione zostaną najważniejsze aspekty strategii wdrażania innowacji w przedsiębiorstwie, począwszy od generacji strategii, przez analizę strategiczną, aż po implementację strategii. Pokazany zostanie autorski model generacji strategii przez nadawania sensu danym, informacji oraz wiedzy. Strategia przedstawiona jest jako mądrość organizacji, opierająca się na myśleniu systemowym, transdyscyplinarnym i interdyscyplinarnym oraz stosowaniu heurystyk. Zaprezentowany zostanie model strategii innowacji opartej na wartościach oraz procesie twórczym.

    Nowadays the challenge for pedagogic is to study the knowledge theory. In this case it uses scientific achievements of: cognitive psychology, didactics, information theory, ICT and methodology of system research. In my study I would like to show a part of issue structure from this range of topic.

    Автор постулирует создание нового раздела философии, который был бы систематичным, рациональным рассуждением о мудрости. Автор называет его «софиологией», желая использовать этот термин не только в теологическом значении (как в русской традиции), но и в философском (автор считает, что английский термин wisdom research слишком далек от польского языка). Софиология делилась бы на описательную часть (которая исследовала бы то, как понимали мудрость в разных культурах и временах) и на нормативную часть, которая бы занималась вопросом, чем собственно является мудрость (что такое настоящая мудрость). Таким образом, автор стремлюeт подчеркнуть значение поучительной рефлексии и усилить роль философии в современном культурном пейзаже, в котором специалист и эксперт вытесняют мудреца.
    The author proposes the creation of a new branch of philosophy that would be systematic, rational reflection on wisdom. He calls it “sofiologia”, using the term in the sense of not only theological (as in Russian thought), but also philosophically (he thinks that the English term wisdom research is too far from the Polish language). Sofiologia would contain the descriptive part (investigating as wisdom is conceived in different cultures and times) and the operative part, trying to figure out what wisdom really is (what is the true wisdom). He would like to emphasize the importance of sapiential reflection and strengthen the role of philosophy in the contemporary cultural landscape, in which a specialist or an expert displaces a sage.
