- Piarist education in the lands of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth played a huge role both in terms of culture and education. The reform of Piarist education carried out in the 18th century by Stanisław Konarski provided the basis for the creation of a modern education system. The main goal of schools was to educate young people morally. very important was religious education. Stanisław Konarski was the author of many treatises. He disseminated new ideas. This ideas with time entered the heritage of Enlightenment thought, which was extremely important for modeling civil society in the age of Enlightenment.
