    Opis:
    Artykuł koncentruje się na wybranych zagadnieniach z zakresu inwestycji zagranicznych w klastrze. Oprócz wstępu i zakończenia składa się z dwóch części, w których scharakteryzowano strategiczny wymiar inwestycji zagranicznych oraz zakres zaangażowania zagranicznych inwestorów w rozwój Doliny Lotniczej, posiadającej status Krajowego Klastra Kluczowego. Na podstawie wyników badań wykazano, że przedsiębiorczy ekosystem klastra, stwarzając dogodne warunki do rozwoju biznesu, kształtuje atrakcyjność inwestycyjną i przyciąga inwestorów. W artykule zwrócono uwagę na fakt, że pozyskiwane inwestycje zagraniczne stymulują różnorodne zmiany klastra i wspierają proces jego internacjonalizacji. Ponadto podkreślono, że stanowią przykład wyzwania strategicznego w zarządzaniu klastrem, gdyż wymagają m.in. sprawnej współpracy klastra z władzami samorządowymi, spójnej z polityką regionalną i koncepcją marketingu terytorialnego.
    The article focuses on selected issues related to foreign investments in a cluster. In addition to the introduction and conclusions, it consists of two parts, which characterize the strategic dimension of foreign investment and the scope of involvement of foreign investors in the Aviation Valley development (high technology cluster), which has the status of the Key National Cluster. Based on the results of research, it was shown that the entrepreneurial ecosystem of cluster, creating favourable conditions for the business development, allows to effectively shape investment attractiveness and attract investors at the same time. The article draws attention to the fact that acquired foreign investments stimulate various cluster changes and support the process of its internationalization. In addition, it is emphasized that foreign investments are an example of a strategic challenge in cluster management, as they require, among others, effective cooperation of the cluster with local government authorities, consistent with regional policy and the territorial marketing concept.

    W artykule podjęto próbę oceny wpływu inwestycji zagranicznych na konkurencyjność gospodarki Ukrainy. Rynek inwestycyjny Ukrainy charakteryzuje się dynamicznym rozwojem, dużym zapotrzebowaniem na zasoby inwestycyjne i wystarczająco wysokim poziomem zainteresowania inwestorów zagranicznych, a także atrakcyjnością inwestycyjną, co potwierdzają dane statystyczne o bezpośrednich inwestycjach zagranicznych za pierwsze półrocze 2016. Podkreślono zależność konkurencyjności gospodarki państwa od aktywizacji rynku inwestycyjnego, atrakcyjności inwestycyjnej krajowych przedsiębiorstw i akumulacji zasobów inwestycyjnych.
    Expediency of bringing in of investments is reasonable in the economy of Ukraine. Influences of the of investment activity are studied on the level of competitiveness of state. The dynamics of investment market of Ukraine, which is characterized by dynamic development, high demand on investment resources and high enough level of the personal interest of foreign investors and investment attractiveness, is investigational, that statistical by data of of direct foreign investments is confirmed to Ukraine for the first half - year 2016. Direct foreign investments (equity) are analysed from the countries of the world in the economy of Ukraine after 2015 dependence of competitiveness of economy of the state is Set on the investment attractiveness of domestic enterprises, accumulation of investment resources. Suggestions are brought in in relation to the increase of investment attractiveness.

    Opis:
    Introduction/background: Local governments try to influence the growth of investment attractiveness of municipalities and districts. They may take direct (e.g. a system of concessions and incentives) or indirect (e.g. extension of infrastructure) activities for this purpose. Research has shown that as far as the employees of institutions supporting entrepreneurs and even the officials themselves are concerned, decisions on the location of business activity are influenced primarily by the infrastructure of localities, availability of labour force, labour costs, and land development. By contrast, the level of municipal services or the favourableness of local authorities plays a much less important role. Aim of the paper: The purpose of the article is to specify the elements generating foreign entrepreneur interest in the offer of conducting business activity in a designated location in a given commune or poviat. Materials and methods: The presented advantages of the region have become the starting point for a research conducted among the employees supporting and coordinating investment processes in the Katowice Special Economic Zone and the city with district rights in the Silesian Voivodeship. Results and conclusions: In the successful efforts of municipalities and districts to attract both foreign direct investments and the execution of projects by domestic business, it seems crucial to formulate a coherent offer. Moreover, further promotional activities must be based on an optimally communicated location, included in spatial development plans, free from legal burdens, social problems and free from hidden flaws such as historical pollution.

    Opis:
    The importance of foreign direct investment (FDI) for the economy of the host country is demonstrated, and the advantages and risks of attracting foreign capital for the economy of Ukraine are emphasized. An analysis of the dynamics of foreign direct investment in Ukraine is carried out, with a focus on sectoral and geographical structure. Differences between the productivity of enterprises with foreign investment and that of domestic enterprises are noted. The assessment of investment potential was carried out using a multifactor comparative analysis, and a calculation of investment attractiveness is made on the basis of the standardization of indicators for the regions of Ukraine. The correspondence between the investment potential and investment attractiveness of the regions is indicated, as well as the low level of investment attractiveness of certain regions in Ukraine. Priority measures for the intensification of foreign investment activity in Ukraine in the conditions of globalization are discussed.
    W artykule ukazano znaczenie bezpośrednich inwestycji zagranicznych dla gospodarki kraju przyjmującego oraz podkreślono korzyści i zagrożenia dla gospodarki Ukrainy, powstające w związku z przyciąganiem kapitału zagranicznego. Przeprowadzono analizę dynamiki bezpośrednich inwestycji zagranicznych na Ukrainie, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem struktury branżowej i geograficznej. Wskazano na różnice między produktywnością przedsiębiorstw z inwestycjami zagranicznymi a przedsiębiorstwami krajowymi. Ocenę potencjału inwestycyjnego przeprowadzono za pomocą wieloczynnikowej analizy porównawczej i dokonano obliczenia atrakcyjności inwestycyjnej na podstawie standaryzacji wskaźników dla regionów Ukrainy. Wskazano na związek potencjału inwestycyjnego z atrakcyjnością inwestycyjną regionów oraz niski poziom atrakcyjności inwestycyjnej niektórych regionów Ukrainy. Omówiono priorytetowe działania dotyczące intensyfikacji inwestycji zagranicznych na Ukrainie w warunkach globalizacji.

    Przedmiotem artykułu jest rozwój inwestycji bezpośrednich za granicą jako przejaw współdziałania międzynarodowego przedsiębiorstw. Autor przedstawia złożony system uwarunkowań procesu decyzyjnego w przedsiębiorstwie inwestycyjnym. Podejmuje ocenę korzyści i strat inwestycji zagranicznych w mezo skali; korzyści dla gmin i regionów. Identyfikuje 8+8 korzyści, tj. osiem głównych bezpośrednich i osiem głównych pośrednich korzyści, jakie mogą zyskać społeczności lokalne i regionalne dzięki inwestycjom firm zagranicznych. Liście korzyści towarzyszy omówienie potencjalnych strat z tytułu obecności firm zagranicznych. Zastanawiając się nad determinantami atrakcyjności jednostek samorządowych dla potencjalnych inwestorów zagranicznych autor wyróżnia dwie podstawowe grupy czynników: czynniki zależne (zmienne) i czynniki niezależne (stałe lub względnie stałe).
    The subject of the paper's analysis is the investment processes carried out abroad as a sign of enterprises' becoming international companies. The author has presented the complex system of conditions of the flows of investment capital, including, apart from own internal motifs, also four additional groups of factors originating from the domestic and foreign environment. Foreign investments are treated in the paper as a phenomenon consisting of various aspects, implying specific advantages and losses for the interested towns and regions. The author proposes the 8+8 list of advantages related to foreign investments, i.e. eight direct and eight main indirect advantages. The list is accompanied by the enumeration of the most common negative consequences of the direct investments abroad. Investment attractiveness of a town (region) that is characterised by the conditions that are dependent (variable) and independent (fixed) from the kind of location, has been the subject of a thorough analysis of the paper.
