    Opis:
    The Polish economy remains one of the most promising and changing economies in Europe. Its attractiveness, caused by geopolitical location, human and natural potential, world famous history and transition processes, creates a unique set of features that attract both foreign investment and regional investors. Facing the last environmental changes, mainly connected with the processes of the transition to the market and knowledge-based economy, it still develops and changes. In Poland there exists a set of major economic organisms that changes the country and creates most of its GDP. The metropolitan areas, including the example of Cracow, discussed above, are stimulators and attractors of both human and economic development. The open question that remains unsolved is how the metropolitan areas can improve their keystone performance. Some of the propositions of such improvements are the creative city strategies that have numerous possible outcomes. Most of the outcomes previously analysed in the literature are of economic nature. The conclusion I draw is that the creative city strategy has an enabling force – it asks the questions about the citizens’ identity and seeks for answers in all social aspects of the metropolitan life. Finally, it strongly influences the collective vision of the agglomeration’s future that, in this case, might be the most crucial element of the final results of the strategy

    Celem pracy jest scharakteryzowanie oraz analiza roli, jaką w erze informacyjnej odgrywa IT w gospodarce łowieckiej szczególnie w aspekcie zachowania różnorodności biologicznej. Praca swoim zakresem obejmuje analizę krajowej, jak i zagranicznej literatury przedmiotu dotyczącej z jednej strony aktualnie panujących warunków przyrodniczych, a z drugiej obowiązującego modelu łowiectwa i jego wpływu na zachowanie różnorodności biologicznej występującej na danym terenie. W tym aspekcie niezwykle istotne wydaje się być zastosowanie szeroko rozumianego IT w gospodarce łowieckiej (w pracy zostały przytoczone przykłady praktyczne zastosowania IT). Jako metodę badawczą w pracy przyjęto analizę literatury przedmiotu oraz case study. W pracy postawiono hipotezę badawczą: „Zastosowanie IT w gospodarce łowieckiej wpływa na efektywność prowadzonych w jej zakresie działań”. Na podstawie przeprowadzonych badań udało się wyciągnąć wnioski, z których jednoznacznie wynika, że zastosowanie IT w gospodarce łowieckiej podnosi efektywność prowadzonych działań. W pracy przedstawiono tylko przegląd wybranej literatury przedmiotu, która może stanowić pewien wstęp do badań pilotażowych. Uwzględniono tylko w nim pewien aspekt praktyczny, który z jednej strony umożliwia potwierdzenie postawionej hipotezy, jednakże z drugiej nie daje podstaw do jej uogólnienia na całą gospodarkę łowiecką. W konsekwencji badania powinny być kontynuowane w celu zanalizowania całego zakresu gospodarki łowieckiej i ewentualnych zastosowań IT w tym zakresie.
    The aim of the paper is to characterize and analyse the role of IT in hunting management in the light of sustainable biodiversity. The work encompasses the analysis of national and international literature on up-to-date environmental conditions and the model of sustainable hunting as well as its impact on preserving biodiversity in a given territory. Taking all that into account, it seems justified to apply IT in hunting (the author illustrates it with examples of applying IT solutions in practice). The research methods include the analysis of pertinent literature and the case study. The research hypothesis is put forward that “the application of IT in hunting management affects the efficiency of biodiversity preservation”. As a result of the analysis of literature and the case study the hypothesis has been verified in respect to some selected aspects of efficiently carried out hunting activities. The work, based on the analysis of selected literature, is a preliminary study of the issue in question. It takes into account only some practical aspects which on the one hand enable the verification of the hypothesis and on the other hand enable to make some generalizations about the whole hunting sector. Consequently, the study should be continued in order to analyse the whole hunting sector and the impact of IT on it.
