W artykule przedstawiono zarys historii metrologii elektrycznej w Politechnice Lwowskiej od początków jej założenia do chwili obecnej. Szczegółowo przedstawiono wszystkich kierowników Katedry Metrologii Elektrycznej oraz omówiono podstawowe kierunki badań i najważniejsze osiągnięcia naukowe Katedry uzyskane pod ich kierownictwem.
The article gives an outline of the history of electrical metrology in the Lviv Polytechnic from the beginning of its foundation to the present day. In Lviv Higher Technical School was created in 1844 as a Technical Academy, it was the first technical school in Eastern Europe. In 1877 the Technical Academy was renamed as Highest Technical School. The first Department of Electrical Engineering in Lviv Polytechnic was founded in 1890/91, and her head was Professor Roman Dzieśliewski – the first Polish Professor of electrical engineering and the creator of its theoretical basis. Department of Electrical Metrology in Lviv Polytechnic emerged from the Electrical Engineering Department in 1920. Detail lists of all heads of Department of Electrical Metrology and discusses the basic directions of science researches and the most important accomplishments. The first head of Department of Electrical Metrology was Professor K. Idaszewski (1920-1930). In the interwar period the greatest academic achievements Department of Electrical Metrology obtained after the leadership of Professor W. Krukowski (1930-1939). During this period, the Department of Electrical Metrology of Lviv Polytechnic became the States Centre of scientific metrology. After Second World War subsequent Heads of the Department were: Professor K. Karandiejev (1944-1958), docent A. Shramkov (1958-1971), Professor Je. Polishchuk (1971-1982), Professor B. Stadnyk (since 1983). Department of Electrical Metrology under the new name of Information Measuring Technology started to return to its status as the leading metrological center since the mid-1970s, when were founded research laboratories, where getting broader scales are carried out research and design in order to create a measuring apparatus for industry and science researches. - Źródło:
