Niedługo po XX Zjeździe KPZR nastąpiły zmiany destalinizacyjne we wszystkich państwach „bloku socjalistycznego”. Biblioteki publiczne okaleczone akcjami oczyszczania księgozbiorów z dzieł podlegających natychmiastowemu usunięciu na próżno upominały się o ich zwrot w Centralnym Zarządzie Bibliotek Ministerstwa Kultury i Sztuki (pisma nr 1–4). Na początku 1958 roku bibliotekarzom rozesłano Wskazówki w sprawie postępowania z drukami zbędnymi (pismo nr 5), zabraniające pozbywania się podstawowych dzieł Marksa, Engelsa, Lenina i Stalina. Bibliotekarzy ponownie starano się wykorzystać w propagandowej grze prowadzonej przez ideologów Polski Ludowej ze społeczeństwem

The article is concerned with the history of the public libraries of Lower Silesia in the postwar period. The upper time limit for the presented analysis and reports is the year 1975, when the administrative reform changed the territorial structure of the voivodeship libraries. Within the 30 years after the war, the libraries of Lower Silesia gathered a wide collection of both fiction and non-fiction books, as well as the documents of social life. The structure of the libraries collections was adjusted to the needs of the readers from the different regions of the country. Thanks to those virtues, public libraries had a chance to become an important element of their towns’ cultural system. Accommodation facilities allowed for active participation in education processes and served the development of the social life.

The work indicated in Polish literature as the cartographic basis for the negotiations of Polish issues at the Paris Peace Conference (1919-1920) is Eugeniusz Romer’s Geograficzno-statystyczny atlas Polski (Geographical and Statistical Atlas of Poland). Given the complicated fate of the atlas, the position of its author in the Polish delegation, and the multidisciplinarity and importance of the conference, it is worth considering whether this atlas really played such an important role, or whether this is merely a statement, a repeated assignment of this role, to stave off concealment or lack of knowledge about other cartographic materials developed and used for the same purpose. Therefore, the main aim of this study was to determine the level of use of cartographic documents other than the Geographical and Statistical Atlas of Poland in lobbying and official negotiations of Polish issues before and during the Paris Peace Conference. The research task was associated with an extensive archival query, which confirmed the fact that dozens of maps survived, mainly manuscripts, which were prepared before and during the conference. It should be concluded that the maps of E. Romer’s atlas constituted one set of many equally important cartographic documents which were used by the negotiators at the Paris Peace Conference.

The work contains a historical outline of the beginnings of collective public transport in Tarnów and its region. It deals with issues related to the functioning of the tram line, which existed in Tarnów from 1911 to the Second World War. This also included city buses, which with the passage of years went further and further outside the city limits. The work also focuses on what impact these means of transport had on local society. This study contains information and comparisons of the of Tarnów roads and urban infrastructure, which had a direct impact on the introduction of the first forms of public transport in this area. The next pages in the article contain the direction in which public transport developed in the Tarnów sub-region, with particular emphasis on the period from the end of World War II to the political changes that followed the fall of communism in 1990. The following extensive themes is an attempt to outline in various ways which is the important issue of public transport.

Die Verbreitung der Mission der Heiligen Gebrüder von Soluri, der Schutzherren Europas, auf die südlichen Gebiete Polens hüllt sich ins Dunkel der Geschichte. In der polnischen Wissenschaft dauert eine langjährige diese Thematik betreffende Diskussion. Ziel des vorliegenden Artikels ist es, den Verlauf dieser Diskussion in der wissenschaftlichen Literatur vom Ende des 19. und Anfang des 20. Jhs. darzustellen. Der Autor zeigt in dem Artikel sowohl die Stellungen der Anhänger des slawischen Ritus als auch die der Gegenseite, die sich bemüht hat, in unterschiedlichem Grad bei einzelnen Autoren (Szczesniak, Parczewski, Brückner) durch eine kritische Analyse der Quellen und anderer Argumente nachzuweisen, dass der slawische Ritus in Polen nicht vorhanden war, oder er verschwand nach kurzzeitigem Erscheinen, ohne in der Geschichte Polens eine bedeutende Rolle zu spielen (Potkariski, Abraham). Der Autor stellt fest, dass das Problem der Existenz des slawischen Ritus im frühmittelalterlichen Polen weiterhin ein Diskussionsgegenstand in der polnischen Wissenschaft bildet. Dem Problem sollen jedoch weitere Artikel gewidmet werden.

Die gegenwärtig im Archidiözesanmuseurn in Lemberg (Lviv) aufbewahrte „Sammlung von Tschernowitz" entstand im Ergebnis der Suche nach kirchlichen Dokumenten in der Ukraine und ihrer Rettung. Die im Jahre2002 von Tschernowitz. nach Lemberg gebrachten Akten stammen aus der Zeit von 1781 bis 1945 (mit einigen Dokumenten aus späteren Jahren) und entstanden in verschiedenen Kanzleien, was bei ihrer Einteilung in Gruppen berücksichtigt wurde. Es gibt 8 Gruppen: I - Generalvikariat (Apostolische Administratur der Bukowina) 1921-1945, II - Dekanate (1781) 1786-1929, 111 - Militärseelsorge 1804-1915, IV -Pfarreien 1786-1945 (1975), V - Schulwesen, Institutionen und Organisationen zur Wohlfahrtspflege, Vereine und Orden 1890-1942, VI - Verschiedenes (u.a. Flugschriften, Dokumentenmuster, Skripte), VII - Fremddokumente 1859-1953, VIII - die Hinterlassenschaft von P. Franciszek Krajewski ( diese Gruppe wird zur Zeit noch geordnet). Trotz unterschiedlicher Quellen der Aktenentstehung wurde beschlossen, sie in einer gemeinsamen Sammlung aufzubewahren, weil sie so gefunden worden waren und weil ihr Miteinander die Spezifik der katholischen Kirche in der Bukowina besser widerspiegelt. Die über 8 laufende Meter zählende Sammlung ist - trotz beträchtlicher Lücken, besonders in den Pfarrbüchern - in physischer Hinsicht in gutem Zustand erhalten und kann neue Materialien für historische Untersuchungen liefern.

Celem artykułu jest dokonanie przeglądu najważniejszych opracowań poświęconych tematyce powojennych migracji na obszarze Pomorza Zachodniego. W wyniku masowych przemieszczeń, do jakich doszło w pierwszych latach po zakończeniu wojny, nastąpiła prawie całkowita wymiana ludności w tym regionie. Wysiedlenia ludności niemieckiej, przebieg i konsekwencje wielkiej akcji osiedleńczej, w wyniku której w regionie zostali osiedleni Polacy i przedstawiciele innych narodowości, a także późniejsze migracje ludności od lat sześćdziesiątych XX wieku, stanowią przedmiot badań naukowych, głównie historycznych. Ich plonem jest bogata literatura przedmiotu.
The article has been intended to review the most important publications concerning the post-war migrations in Western Pomerania. As a result of massive migrations which took place just after the Second World War the former population of that region was almost totally replaced by a new one. The displacement of the German population, the big settlement action to attract here Polish – and other – populations, as well as later migrations starting from the 1960s are the matters that have been already researched, mainly by historical disciplines. As a result there is a rich literature.

Unsere Informationen über genealogische Themen, besonders die der Grenzerfamilien sind oft unvollständig. Deshalb bilden praktisch gar nicht verwertete Matrikelbücher einzelner Pfarreien wertvolle Quellen für das Ergänzen dieser Mängel. Im Archivbestand der Diözese Luck hat der Autor der vorliegenden Publikation ein umfangreiches genealogisches Material gefunden. Es wird hier die Familie Jełowicki, Wappen Bożeniec präsentiert, die zahlreich in Wołyń auftritt. Matrikelmaterialien der Diözese Luck (aus Geburts-, Trauungsbüchern und Büchern der Verstorbenen) sind oft die einzigen, die sich bis auf unsere Zeit in Form von Abschriften erhalten haben. Der Verfasser selbst benutzte oft eine solche Art von Matrikelbüchern. Es soll auch darauf hingewiesen werden, dass diese den Tag der Eheschließung, Geburt oder Bestattung betreffenden Informationen ziemlich genau sind.

Celem niniejszego artykułu jest ukazanie stereotypowego postrzegania mniejszości romskiej zamieszkującej Pragę, stolicę Czechosłowacji w latach sześćdziesiątych i siedemdziesiątych XX wieku. Wizerunek Romów prezentował na kartach swych opowiadań Bohumil Hrabal. Najbardziej widoczny jest w utworach Romanca (znajdującej się w zbiorze Pábitelé z 1964 roku) oraz Zbyt głośna samotność (Příliš hlučná samota z 1976 roku). W ramach realizacji referatu przeprowadzona zostanie szczegółowa analiza materiału literackiego, jak również refleksja kulturoznawcza i historyczna. Moim zamysłem jest próba przedstawienia losów społeczności rom- skiej, która bliska była czeskiemu pisarzowi.
The purpose of this article is to show the stereotypical perception of the Romany minority inhabiting Prague the capital of Czechoslovakia in the 1960s and 1970s. Hrabal presented the image of Romany on the cards. The most visible in Romanca’s works (in the 1964 Pábitelé collection) and Too Loud a Solitude (Příliš hlučná samota from 1976). As part of the implementation of the paper, a detailed analysis of literary material will be carried out, as well as cultural and historical reflection. My idea is to try to present the fate of the Romany community, which was close to the Czech writer.

Laut Bestandsverzeichnis von 1889 verfügte das Archiv der Pfarrei Bieliny damals über Matrikelbücher ab 1637, d.h. seit Gründung dieser Pfarrei, sowie über Pergamindiplome aus der ersten Hälfte des 18. Jahrhunderts. Gegenwärtig gehören zum Archivbestand der Pfarrei Bieliny: Matrikelbücher (Taufbücher ab 1865, Traumbücher ab 1867 und Totenbücher ab 1871), ein als „Pfarrarchiv" betiteltes Buch, das zum Teil Kopien von Dokumenten aus den Jahren 1850-1950 enthält und erst ab 1994 eine Chronik im eigentlichen Sinne darstellt, ein Plan der Erdarbeiten von 1847, Dokumente aus dem 19. Jahrhundert sowie zeitgenössische Dokumente und Schreiben von Diözesanoberen und staatlichen Behörden, Protokolle von Visitationen des Dekans aus den Jahren 1938-1995 sowie ein Katalog der historischen Sehenswürdigkeiten der Kirche und des Friedhofs von Bieliny. Das Archiv enthält weder Pergamindokumente noch die ersten Matrikelbücher. Wegen der Kärglichkeit der Archivbestände besitzt das Pfarrarchiv in Bieliny keine Signaturen.
