    The subject of the article is a discussion on the problems of rationalization of development strategies in high technology enterprises. The article presents the concept of the rationalization model of a strategic process in high technology enterprises in the configurational approach. Also, the partial results of research undertaken in the Project concerning defining and solving strategic problems in innovation enterprises have been analyzed.
    Przedmiotem artykułu jest dyskusja problemów racjonalizacji strategii rozwojowych przedsiębiorstw wysokich technologii. W artykule zaprezento-wano koncepcję modelu racjonalizacji procesu strategicznego przedsiębiorstw wysokich technologii w ujęciu konfiguracyjnym. Poddano również analizie częściowe wyniki prac badawczych podjętych w Projekcie4 z zakresu definiowania i rozwią-zywania problemów strategicznych w przedsiębiorstwach innowacyjnych.

    Opis:
    Technology entrepreneurship focuses on transforming research and scientific potential into innovative goods and services. It is an interesting proposition for small and medium-sized enterprises planning to improve the competitive position based on advanced technology. Its use in economic practice faces certain limitations, arising both from the specifics of that category of entities and the external conditions of their operation. This article aims to identify and analyze of the incidence of barriers to technology entrepreneurship and to assess the impact of these negative factors on the development and benefits of using this concept in the SME sector companies. The survey conducted on a sample of 300 small and medium-sized enterprises from the region of Lodz aims at achieving the objective of the paper. The results allowed to determine the impact of selected barriers (considered by generic criterion and the direction of impact) on the level of development of technology entrepreneurship.

    W artykule zaprezentowano konstrukt twórczości technologicznej, opierając się na założeniu, że stanowi on znaczący mechanizm rozwojowy przedsiębiorstw wysokich technologii. Twórczość technologiczna traktowana jest jako połączenie dwóch odrębnych pojęć: twórczości technologicznej oraz rozwoju technologii. Opierając się na tym założeniu, w artykule w pierwszej kolejności przedstawiono znaczenie twórczości technologicznej w rozwoju strategicznym przedsiębiorstw wysokich technologii. Omówiono również strategie rozwojowe przedsiębiorstw wysokich technologii w aspekcie twórczości technologicznej.
    The article presents the construct of technology creativity based on the assumption that it is a significant mechanism for development of high technology enterprises. Technology creativity is treated as a combination of two distinct concepts: technology creativity and technology development. Basing on this assumption in the article on the first place it is presented the importance of technology creativity in the strategy development of high technology enterprises. There are also discussed the strategies of enterprises of high technology in terms of technology creativity.

    Opis:
    Technology entrepreneurship is becoming one of the solutions resulting in increased innovativeness and competitiveness of enterprises in the conditions of the so called new economy. It is the process of transformation of an idea into innovation, and it covers the conversion of scientific knowledge into products and services aimed directly at the commercial market. At its basis lies the effective cooperation between the research centres, capital market institutions and business support institutions as well as enterprises. Hence an essential challenge faced by the business entities is the development of appropriate relationships and forms of cooperation with the elements of the business environment, allowing for the efforts of the commercial as well as science and technology spheres to be directed at the creation of innovation with the use of market opportunities and the potential of the dynamic business environment. Therefore the aim of this paper has been set to draw attention to the importance of shaping of appropriate forms of cooperation with the business environment in the process of technology entrepreneurship development. In order to achieve this aim, a case study of MakoLab S.A., enterprise operating in the IT industry has been conducted.
