W pracy zbadano wymywalność metali ciężkich z pyłów odlewniczych. Próbki pochodziły z odpylaczy pieców łukowych
dwóch stalowni (A i B), z oczyszczania pneumatycznego odlewów, krat wstrząsowych oraz z hali do regeneracji mas
formierskich. Z odpadów sporządzono wyciągi wodne. W pyłach oznaczono zawartość całkowitą metali ciężkich i formy
rozpuszczone w wodzie. Wyniki badań porównano z obowiązującym prawem, w celu określenia wpływu badanych odpadów
na środowisko. W pyłach pochodzących z obu stalowni stwierdzono dużą wymywalność chromu i kadmu.
odlewów i hali do regeneracji mas zawierały nieznaczny udział wymywalnych form metali ciężkich.
The study investigated the leachability of heavy metals from foundry dusts. Samples were taken from the dust collectors of arc furnace from two steel plants (A and B), pneumatic cleaner of casts, lattice vibration, reclamation of moulding sands yard. From waste water extracts were prepared. The total and dissolved content of heavy metals in dusts was analyzed. The results were compared with current law, in order to determine the effects of the waste on the environment. In the dusts from both the steel plants was found high leachability of chromium and cadmium. Dust from lattice vibration characterized by high nickel and zinc, also in aqueous extracts. Therefore, dusts from steel plants A and B and dust from lattice vibration were classified as hazardous waste. The remaining dusts contained low level of leachable heavy metal forms. On the basis of these results, it was found that dusts from the foundry should not be stored in company dump area, due to the loose, dusty character and content of heavy metals in the water extracts. A good solution to the problem of dust in foundries can be recycle them into the production process or other utilization. - Źródło:
