    The article aims to present the results of a diagnostic study of textbooks for teaching corrective phonetics at the university level. The subjects of the study were literary texts appearing in textbooks for teaching French phonetics. The comparative study covered textbooks published in France and Poland in the years 1971–2010. As a result of the conducted research, the following questions were answered: Are literary texts used in phonetics textbooks? What genres and types of literary texts are used in phonetics textbooks? Which authors are used in phonetics textbooks? What are the texts that are most often the subject of didactic studies? What are literary texts used for in phonetics textbooks?

    This paper explores the issue of teaching foreign literature – especially poetry – during the foreign language classes. Indeed teaching of literature/poetry as a part of a foreign language education remains a vehemently debated issue. Which and whose poetry should be taught? How should it be taught? What role should the learners’ culture play in the acquisition of knowledge of the French-language poetry? How can the French language teachers learn the skill of incorporating poetry into their teaching of French as a foreign language? And how can they develop the learners both linguistic and cultural competence? Those questions are to be answered in the paper.

    Le choix du vocabulaire dans le processus d’enseignement et d’apprentissage des langues est l’un des problèmes clés de la didactique des langues. La compétence lexicale et son développement sont perçus comme une priorité par les enseignants et les étudiants. Quelle place occupe le champ sémantique de la consommation de boissons dans les manuels scolaires d’enseignement du français langue étrangère ? Quel est le choix du vocabulaire lié à ce cercle thématique effectué par les auteurs des manuels de FLE ? Pour répondre à ces questions, une recherche diagnostique de dictionnaires et de manuels de FLE publiés entre 1973 et 2016 a été réalisée. Les résultats de la recherche présentés sous forme de tableaux et d’analyses qualitatives ont montré des moyens de présenter le verbe ‘boire’, les boissons sans alcool et les boissons alcoolisées dans des manuels de français langue étrangère utilisés dans le système éducatif polonais.
    The choice of vocabulary in the teaching and language learning process is one of the key problems of language didactics. Lexical competence and its development are perceived by teachers and students as a priority. What spot does semantic field regarding drinking beverages occupy in the French language school textbooks? What is, and what was, the selection of vocabulary related to this thematic circle made by the authors of school textbooks used in the process of teaching and learning a foreign language? In order to give answer to above questions, an oblong diagnostic examination of dictionaries and textbooks for teaching French language published in period 1973-2016 was carried out. The results of the research presented in the form of tabular summaries and qualitative analyzes showed ways of presenting the verb “to drink”, soft drinks and alcoholic beverages in materials for teaching French as a foreign language used in the Polish educational system.

    Depuis plusieurs années, le statut de la langue française dans le monde par rapport à d’autres langues européennes perd de son importance. L’anglais qui est devenu la lingua franca du XXIe siècle occupe une place exceptionnelle dans tous les domaines et secteurs de notre vie quotidienne et professionnelle. Il en est de même pour le secteur éducatif où l’anglais garde sa position privilégiée et il est enseigné en tant que première langue étrangère aussi bien dans les écoles maternelles que dans les grandes écoles. Au moment où les élèves et les étudiants sont invités à choisir une autre langue étrangère, ils choisissent rarement le français. Pourtant, sur le marché du travail, la connaissance du français peut augmenter les chances des jeunes pour qu’ils trouvent un bon emploi. Comment donc motiver les élèves de l’enseignement primaire et secon- daire, et les étudiants de l’enseignement supérieur à commencer, puis à continuer l’apprentissage du français ? Les chercheurs et les enseignants qui ont participé au colloque national qui s’est déroulé du 1er au 2 avril 2016 à l’École polytechnique de Łódź (Centre de langues vivantes et Centre de formation internationale) ont partagé leurs expériences dans le domaine de l’enseignement et de l’apprentissage du FLE en Pologne en essayant de trouver des réponses satisfaisantes à la question ci-dessus. L’auteur de l’article propose un compte-rendu détaillé du déroulement de ce colloque et une approche de quelques solutions méthodologiques innovantes dans le domaine de la didactique du FLE qui ont pour objectif de faire motiver les étudiants tout en répondant à leurs intérêts et à leurs besoins professionnels.

    The place of literature in the French as a foreign language classroom seems to be more and more precarious. Using perspectives opened up through intermediality and interculturality in literary texts, however, constitutes a motivating way to connect with students’ prevailing cultural practices and to engage in a dialogue on the challenges of cultural identity in a multicultural society as the example of Sarcelles-Dakar, a novel by the French-Senegalese writer, rapper and spoken word poet Insa Sané, illustrates.

    The aim of the present study is to examine the extent to which French philology students' informal learning – in the area of multimodal literacies and leisure activities – reinforces the gains in French literature and French history and culture courses through creative mediation. We report on an experiment conducted in the years 2020-2022 in five online courses at the French Philology department of the University of Wrocław during the Covid-19 pandemic. In these courses, students were expected to personally mediate the texts or content studied in class and present them on a group Facebook site. The students' projects are classified according to two criteria (intersemiotic and intrasemiotic mediation; mediation of form and content) and prove that the involvement of informally acquired knowledge and skills not only developed the students' creativity, but also promoted interpretative processes by anchoring the formal learning of the course in personal experience.
