    The author attempts to demonstrate the validity of the sacrifice that Edith Stein made of herself, and analyzes the deed by thoughts of Józef Tischner and Emmanuel Levinas, f rom the point of view of phenomenology. The connecting element is the biography of Edith Stein and many analogies from Bible. The main point of the present article is the assumption that the victim Edith Stein was the most important idea of her life.

    W twórczości Józefa Tischnera ważne miejsce zajmuje problem agresji. Postacią agresji jest m.in. odwet. Źródłem działań odwetowych jest doświadczenie krzywdy. Jednym z największych wyzwań moralnych stojących przed człowiekiem jest nauczenie się nieodpowiadania agresją na agresję. Zdaniem filozofa zadanie to nie leży poza granicami ludzkich możliwości. W jego realizowaniu pomocna jest filozofia. Ukazuje ona człowieka jako istotę mierzącą się z różnymi problemami, ograniczeniami, cierpieniem. Filozofia Tischnera uczy rozumieć człowieka, zamiast oceniać go i moralizować. Uświadamia, że własny punkt widzenia nie jest jedyny ani ostateczny. Wyjaśnia, że ten, kto atakuje, kieruje się jakimiś racjami, chociaż by ich bronić, posługuje się metodami najgorszymi z możliwych. Jest to człowiek, który cierpi, i dlatego zadaje cierpienie.
    The problem of aggression occupies an important place in the work of Józef Tischner. A form of aggression is, among other things, retaliation. The source of retaliation is the experience of harm. One of the greatest moral challenges that a human being has to face, is to learn not to respond with aggression to aggression. According to the philosopher, this task is not beyond the limits of human capabilities. Philosophy is helpful in accomplishing it. It shows a human person as a being facing various problems, limitations, and suffering. Tischner’s philosophy teaches to understand a human being, instead of judging and moralizing them. This philosophy makes us aware that our own point of view is not the only one, nor the ultimate one. It explains that the attacker is guided by some reasons, although to defend them, they uses the worst possible methods. They is a human being who suffers and therefore causes suffering.

Leaving aside the historical and personal influences which shaped the debate, the author is trying to assess the presented polemics on two fundamental planes: metatheoretical and anthropological. The text constitutes an attempt to answer the question: are the two disparate approaches bound to remain seen as ever confronting, or is there a possibility of them entering a constructive dialogue?

    Rodzina Szkół Tischnerowskich – geneza i historia. Dziedzictwo myśli i działań wybitego polskiego filozofa Józefa Tischnera jest nie tylko przedmiotem badań naukowych i pogłębionej filozoficznej recepcji, ale także znajduje praktyczne zastosowanie w wielu wydarzeniach stałych i okazjonalnych poświęconych społecznemu wymiarowi jego myśli. Szczególnym fenomenem są jednak Szkoły Tischnerowskie, które tworzą tzw. Rodzinę Tischnerowską. Mają one mocne więzi, własne zwyczaje i nawet obrzędy, jak choćby ten specjalny przyjęcia do swego grona. Powstały one jako dziedzictwo wybitnego księdza i filozofa. Są one też hołdem złożonym mu pośmiertnie. To w nich kontynuuje się jego myśl i pogłębia jego filozofię. Celem niniejszego artykułu jest pokazanie genezy i historii Rodziny Szkół Tischnerowskich.
    The Tischner School Family – genesis and history. The heritage of the thoughts and actions of the eminent Polish philosopher Józef Tischner is not only the subject of scientific research and in-depth philosophical reception, but also finds practical application in many regular and occasional events devoted to the social dimension of his thoughts. A special phenomenon, however, are the “Tischner schools”, which form the so-called The Tischner family. They have strong ties, their own customs and even rituals, such as the special admission to their circle. They were created as the legacy of an outstanding priest and philosopher. They are also a tribute to him posthumously. It is in them that his thoughts are continued and his philosophy deepened. The aim of this article is to show the origins and history of the Tischner School Family.

    When we talk about the views of fr. Jozef Tischner (1935–2000) on the importance of freedom in public life, we must remember that our modern hinking about freedom is stigmatized by repulsion for different views, marked by a group ostracism, disappointments, escapes from freedom. People are disappointed and discouraged, do not engage in public affairs, do not participate in public debates and elections. Where does it come from? To a large extent from our past. Poles were involved in uprisings and burdened with the legacy of noble individualism, traditional rebellions and fighting for freedom; while others were building civil society based on the acceptance of freedom of every human being and on the respect for law, we were forced to break the imposed law and fight for freedom in order to preserve our national identity. And in this struggle for freedom we managed to maintain solidarity. It is more difficult to live out this solidarity in every-day life and to build a common home of democratic free state governed by the rule of the law. We have problems with managing areas of freedom in the public life; we do not know how to be wisely and creatively free in every-day life.

    Obraz komunikowania prawdy w relacji lekarz–pacjent na podstawie serialu Szpital. Autorka zakłada w artykule, że często jedyną możliwą formą komunikacji pacjenta z lekarzem jest płaszczyzna aksjologii komunikacyjnej. Tą metaprzestrzeń w komunikacji międzyludzkiej trafnie ukazuje serial telewizyjny Szpital. Dlatego pokazuje filozofię dramatu Józefa Tischnera jako ontyczną podstawę aktu komunikacyjnego między lekarzem i pacjentem, która rozjaśni rzeczywistość wartości w przestrzeni międzyludzkiej. Tekst składa się z pięciu części. Autorka uzasadnia ten podział różnorodnością obszarów badawczych artykułu. W ramach pierwszego obszaru badawczego stara się przedstawić akt komunikacyjny w świetle ontologii jako byt, który można opisać w jego złożoności. Druga część artykułu jest przedstawieniem filozofii dramatu Józefa Tischnera. W trzeciej części tekstu autorka zastanawia się nad pragmatyką komunikacyjną lekarza z pacjentem z punktu widzenia aksjologii komunikowania. Czwarta część z kolei stanowi syntezę poprzednich trzech, w której dokonuje próby ukazania komunikowania lekarza z pacjentem z perspektywy aksjologicznej. W obrębie ostatniego – piątego obszaru badawczego autorka podejmuje próbę zaktualizowania przedstawionej teorii w praktyce medialnej.
    The image of communicating the truth in the doctor–patient relationship based on the series Hospital. The author assumes in the article that the level of communication axiology is often the only possible form of communication between the patient and the doctor. This meta-space in interpersonal communication is aptly portrayed by the TV series Hospital. Therefore, it shows the philosophy of Józef Tischner’s drama as the ontological basis of the act of communication between the doctor and the patient, which will illuminate the reality of values in the interpersonal space. The text consisted of five parts. The author emphasizes this division due to the variety of research areas of the article. As part of the first research area, he tries to present the communication act in the light of ontology as an entity that can be described in its complexity. The second part of the article will present the philosophy of Józef Tischner’s drama. In the third area of the text, he examines the physician-patient communication pragmatics from the point of view of the axiology of communication. The fourth part, in turn, will be a synthesis of the previous three, in which it attempts to show the communication between the doctor and the patient from an axiological perspective. Within the last – fifth research area, he attempts to update the presented theory in media practice.

    The text presents a fragment of a philosophical and religious dispute that took place between Józef Tischner and the representatives of the Polish Thomistic school (1977-1978). The analy-sis below focuses on the last phase of the polemic, in which the adversaries made an analysis of their own epistemological and anthropological assumptions. Showing the structure and the issues in this dispute may lead to the specific context of understanding Christian philosophy, as well as contemporary discussions on the shape and structure of religious education. One of the central questions, which has hitherto not lost its relevance, is the one of the relationship that ex-ists between philosophy and religious thought (especially religious education). The following analysis is to provide the reader with a spectrum of possible answers to this question.
