Opis:
Energy efficiency of hydrostatic transmissions, and especially efficiencies of drives with motor speed controlled by throttle, as well as efficiency of hydraulic servomechanisms can in fact be higher than the efficiency values most frequently given by the respective literature in this field. With the progress achieved in recent years in the development of hydraulic systems it is becoming necessary to develop methods for precise energy efficiency calculation of such systems. It is difficult to imagine that more and more, better and better machines and control elements could be used without the possibility of a mathematical tool at our disposal to enable an accurate analysis and assessment of behavior of the system in which such machines and control elements have been applied. The paper discusses energy savings using mathematical model of losses in elements, the energy efficiency of the system. There are possibilities to reduce energy losses in proportional control systems (in the pump, in the throttle control unit, especially in the cylinder), and thus to improve the energy efficiency of the throttling manifold. The considerations allow for comparison of the loss power resulting from the applied hydraulic control structure of the hydraulic cylinder and the power consumed by the pump from the electric motor that drives it, the power necessary to provide pump-driven hydraulic cylinder. The article shows the impact on the output (useful) power consumed in the considered systems, and the impact on the power consumed of the loss power in the individual elements. The paper presents also formulas of loss power, formulas of energy efficiency connected with investigated hydrostatic drives, two schematic diagrams of hydraulic systems, their principle of operation and problems of studying losses in elements and energy efficiency characteristics of systems consisting of a feed assembly, control set and cylinder. It also includes a subject matter connected with an energy loss power of hydrostatic systems with hydraulic cylinder controlled by proportional directional control valve. Diagrams of loss power of two hydraulic systems worked at the same parameters of speed and load of a cylinder, which were different due to structure and ability of energy saving, were presented and compared.

Opis:
One of the main tasks of modern hierarchical systems management are integration of technological, organizational and economic management functions and processes. Another important task is creation of unified information space with accurate, complete and current information. Efficient hierarchical systems management requires intelligent processing of large amounts of heterogeneous information. It is appropriate to process information via intelligent components that are built using artificial neural networks. Strategic information about macroenvironments, microenvironments and internal environments are the input data for intelligent components of upper management levels. Intelligent components may solve different tasks which could have features like: large amount of data, data diversity (quantitative, qualitative, text), contradiction and incomplete data, consistency and high intensity of incoming data, high computing amount with dominance of computing operations over logical operations, recursions and regularity of data processing using neural network algorithms, continuous complications of processing algorithms and increasing requirements for results accuracy, possibility to process data in parallel. The method of synchronized spatiotemporal mapping algorithms for intelligent operation component that provides synchronization of data flow intensity with computing intensity (hardware implementation) and takes into account the processor architecture (software implementation) has been designed. It has been proposed to use following principles: conveyor and spatial parallelism in data processing, modularity, specialization, uniformity and regularity of the structure, programmability architecture. during design of intelligent hardware components. Evaluation of structure of intelligence hardware components carried out using test equipment efficiency. Equipment efficiency takes into account number of interface outputs and number of interneuron connections. At the next step it links performance costs of equipment and evaluates elements by device performance. The method for designing of intelligent component management system that uses synchronized spatio-temporal mapping algorithm has been described. Current method takes into account the components, the requirements of the specific application and provides implementation of intelligent components with high efficiency.

In this paper are compared two models of energy losses: that suggested by Prof. Paszota, Z. in monograph “Energy losses in the hydraulic displacement motors – definitions and relations serving the evaluation of the efficiency of hydrostatic drive” [18] and that of Prof. Balawender, A. in “Energy analysis and methodology of testing of low-speed hydraulic motors” [1]. By using the data obtained from the tests of SWSB-63 hydraulic motors [2] the graphs which illustrate mechanical, volumetric and pressure losses in function of the parameters on which the losses directly depend [18 ], have been elaborated and showed in comparison with the description of such losses in function of the parameters assumed in [1]. The below presented text has been complemented in relation to that published in the monograph [4] and read during the scientific technical conference „Cylinder 2010” organized by the Mining Engineering Centre „Komag”, Gliwice, and held on 20÷22 September 2010 in Rytro, Poland.

This article provides an overview of the existing problems in the construction of wireless sensor networks (WSN), in particular the problem of energy efficiency of the system. In many cases, the WSN is set in places where the connection to the stationary power sources is difficult or impossible. Such situations require the use of autonomous energy sources: traditional (batteries) or alternative (solar panels, wind generators, etc.). Due to limitations in the available system power there is obvious need in efficient use of available energy resources.

The efficiency of cellular networks can be improved in various aspects such as energy consumption, network capacity and interference between neighboring cells. This paper proposes a high capacity energy efficient scheme (HCEE) for data transmission in cellular networks in a country area. In this paper, the authors obtain a new equation to characterize the minimal required output power for traffic transmission between a base station (BS) and a mobile user (MU) based on the MU distance from the BS. Also, the cells boundaries (the boundary of overlapping areas of neighboring cells) by two static and dynamic approaches are specified. This work helps for better frequency allocation to MUs and allows increasing network capacity. In this paper, the analytical modeling in order to formulate the HCEE algorithm and evaluate its performance is used. The performance evaluation results show the simplicity of the HCEE algorithm and its effect on energy consumption decline, network capacity enhancement and the interference reduction.

W przypadku kotłowni, w której prowadzono badania, wyniki takiego monitoringu przekonały do wyposażenia jej w dodatkowy układ automatycznej regulacji z algorytmem mającym na celu ograniczenie liczby cykli włączeń i wyłączeń palników. Zastosowane urządzenie zewnętrzne pozwoliło ograniczyć liczbę cyklów włączeń i wyłączeń palników przy zachowaniu jakości dostawy ciepła do instalacji ogrzewania i układu przygotowania c.w.u. W materiale zarekomendowano również inne sposoby poprawy efektywności energetycznej systemu zaopatrzenia w ciepło istniejących budynków wielorodzinnych.
The article discusses issues related to improving the energy efficiency of heat supply systems. It draws attention to the need to take action not only for large objects and systems, but also for individual buildings and their boiler plants. Heat supply system monitoring allows for the diagnosis of the weakest elements and making decisions leading to the improvement of energy efficiency. In the case of the boiler room where the research was carried out, the results of such monitoring convinced to equip boilers with an additional automatic control system, with an algorithm limiting the number of burner switching cycles and shutdowns. Limiting the number of switching on the burners, as in the case of other combustion and electric devices, has a significant impact on the energy efficiency of the entire system. In addition, it also increases the durability of the devices, and thus reduces costs of servicing and repairs. The simplest control algorithms, often used in controllers installed in the boiler units, do not provide optimization in this respect. The external device used has allowed the number of burners on and off cycles to be limited while maintaining the quality of the heat supply to the heating installation and the heat treatment system. The material also presents other ways to improve the energy efficiency of the heat supply system in existing multi-family buildings.

Full picture of the energy losses in a hydrostatic drive system is a picture of the power of energy losses in the system elements. Paper presents the areas of the power fields of energy losses occurring in the elements of some hydraulic systems with different structures of the hydraulic motor speed control. Proposed graphical interpretation allows analysing and comparing different hydrostatic drive systems. In many constructed and manufactured machines currently used hydrostatic drive systems or electro hydrostatic systems of varying complexity. Today, the need for energy-efficient systems forces to some extent the development and improvement of computational methods using computer aided relating to energy efficiency systems. Hydrostatic systems especially in modern machines play a very important role. Actuators, such as hydraulic motors, hydraulic cylinders is commonly used for a long time, including on machines and equipment land and marine. Unawareness of proportions of the energy, volumetric, pressure and mechanical losses in elements is often the case. Problems connected with energy efficiency are essential for improvement of functionality and quality of hydrostatic drive systems, characterised by unquestioned advantages. Energy efficiency of hydrostatic transmissions, particularly those with throttling control of the motor speed, and also efficiency of the hydraulic servomechanism systems may be in fact higher than the values most often quoted in publications on the subject.

In this field experiment, an energy efficiency of environment friendly methods to limit overgrowing weeds of spring wheat was investigated. In comparison with harrowing (control), weed control with the use of a herbicide (Chwastox extra 300SL) resulted in an increase of the cumulated energy outlays by 7 per cent, and an increase of the yield by 12 per cent (not confirmed statistically), and a growth of the energy efficiency ratio by 5 per cent. An application of a supplementary crop in the form of the white clover, treated as a method to reduce weeds, resulted in an increase of the cumulated energy outlay by 3%. Also, a substantial increase of the grain yield was noted (by 24% as compared with the control), which resulted in the achievement of the most advantageous value of the energy efficiency ratio, which was 2.25 (a 20 per cent increase as compared with the control).

In the vertical spindle pulverizer (VSP), the large circulation ratio and high ash and sulfur contents in circulating load would result in intensive energy consumption and low grinding efficiency. Although the control of circulating load would help increase the energy efficiency, no quantitative study has been conducted due to the high temperature and pressure in the closed VSP. In this study, response of energy-size reduction to the control of circulating load was studied by the experimental simulation method. Coal mixtures with fine/coarse ratio of 11:1, 8:1 and 6:1 were ground by a lab-scale roller mill. Energy-size reductions of the coarse coal were compared to evaluate the influence of circulating load control. Results showed that the product with the coarse coal increased by 30% when the specific breakage energy was 1.0 kWht–1 as the circulation ratio decreased from 11 to 6. Meanwhile, a breakage characteristic index of the coarse coal was two times higher due to the cushioning effect of fines. Besides, decrease of circulation ratio led to increase of the breakage rate of coarse coal, and the energy saving improved by 57%. With the same energy input of 2.0 kWht-1, the yield of –0.09 mm pulverized fuel (PF) increased from 22 to 43%. Therefore, controlling the circulating load is an effective method to improve the breakage rate of coarse coal and energy efficiency for PF generation.
