    The purpose of this study was to predict the effectiveness of Zahedan elementary school principals based on the triple factors of position in the Fiedler leadership model. The presented study was a descriptive correlational study in which 356 elementary school teachers were studied with stratified randomized sampling through two questionnaires including determining the leadership situation and the effectiveness of school administrators. The correlation coefficient and simultaneous multiple regression were used for data analysis with the help of SPSS software. Based on results, there was a positive and significant relationship between the three factors of leadership position (authority, leader-member relationship, duty structure). The results of multiple regression analysis also showed that the three situational factors can predict the effectiveness of school principals. Therefore, it can be concluded that school administrators should benefit from good authority, have good interactions with teachers and emphasize the structure of tasks to increase their effectiveness.

    This study aims to explore the leadership effectiveness that promotes Vocational High School (VHS) revival. The Kerlinger survey method was used to test the notion of emotional maturity, position power, helpful behaviour, and leadership effectiveness. The sample of 252 responders included 84 VHS principals and 168 VHS teachers. According to the confirmatory factor analysis, emotional affirmation established the construct of emotional maturity, position power was best developed coercive power, and readiness to explain the program. Personal traits are the most powerful predictor of leadership effectiveness and the contribution of position power that directly influences helpful behaviour is 4.92%. The contribution of position power to direct leadership effectiveness is 5.19%, and the contribution of supportive conduct to direct leadership effectiveness is 6.05%. The leadership model discovered in this study is innovative that it can empirically explain the dominating elements that compose the latent variables: emotional maturity, position power, supportive leadership style, and leadership effectiveness. These findings greatly impact how leadership science is developed in education, especially vocational.

    The purpose of this article is to show the types of problems and difficulties of high school youth, with particular attention paid to their change and transformations that have taken place over the last few years. Thus, to draw attention to the work of the school educator and the effectiveness in overcoming the difficulties encountered in his or her professional work. To present the real and established aspects of professional training of a school educator that make reference to youth. The first part presents the basic concepts that define the school educator, and thus the youth. Another aspect is to specify the contemporary problems of young people as well as the emphasis on the need for changes in attitudes, role and responsibilities of the school educator resulting from the necessity of bringing current support to the young generation. Article will also be enriched by the conclusions of my own research on high school youth problems.

    W artykule skupiono się na ocenie możliwości uatrakcyjnienia procesu edukacji przedszkolnej poprzez wykorzystanie komputera i nowoczesnych urządzeń technicznych, które służyć mają rozwijaniu kompetencji komunikacyjnych i technicznych dziecka w okresie, gdy objęte jest ono opieką placówki. W tym celu dokonano przeglądu literatury i pomocy edukacyjnych, analizy podstawy programowej wychowania przedszkolnego pod kątem wykorzystania technologii infor-macyjnych w przedszkolu oraz przeprowadzono sondażowe badania ankietowe wśród nauczycieli placówek przedszkolnych.
    This article presents the appraisal of the methods to introduce a computer and other multimedia equipment in pre-school education, in order to enhance the development of communication and technical skills, as well as increase attractiveness of kindergarten activities. The author has reviewed the literature and teaching aids, analysed the curriculum and conducted a survey among local nursery schools' teachers.

    Narastające problemy zdrowotne ludności świata związane z niewłaściwym odżywianiem skłoniły wiele krajów do podejmowania działań zmierzających do kształtowania prozdrowotnych nawyków żywieniowych. Jednym z tych działań w Unii Europejskiej (UE) była realizacja w latach 2009/10–2016/17 programu „Owoce w szkole”, a od 2017/18 roku „Programu dla szkół”, w którym owoce i warzywa są jednym z dwu komponentów (drugim komponentem jest mleko i jego przetwory). Celem artykułu była ocena skuteczności ich działania w aspekcie kształtowania się spożycia owoców i warzyw w rodzinach polskich. Artykuł opracowano na podstawie: aktów prawnych UE, ocen funkcjonowania i realizacji programów: „Owoce w szkole” i „Program dla szkół”, dokonywanych przez instytucje unijne i polskie, danych statystycznych Głównego Urzędu Statystycznego (GUS) oraz przeglądu literatury dotyczącej spożycia owoców i warzyw. Stwierdzono, że mimo wzrostu liczby szkół i dzieci uczestniczących w programie oraz rosnących wydatków na jego realizację, nie obserwuje się w większości krajów UE, w tym również w Polsce, wzrostu spożycia produktów ogrodniczych objętych programem (współczynnik korelacji Pearsona między liczbą dzieci uczestniczących w programie a wielkością spożycia w gospodarstwach domowych w latach 2009/10–2020/21 wyniósł −0,77). Przyczyną mogą być z jednej strony słabości funkcjonowania programu (tj. generalnie niska jakość produktów, zbyt krótki okres trwania programu, ale też zbyt małe zaangażowanie w jego realizację rodziców), a z drugiej strony trudny do statystycznego potwierdzenia wpływ pozostałych czynników, decydujących o poziomie konsumpcji owoców i warzyw objętych programem (większa dostępność innych produktów, mało skuteczna reklama).
    The growing health problems of the world’s population related to inadequate nutrition have prompted many countries to take measures to develop healthy eating habits. One of the activities in the EU was the implementation of the School Fruit Scheme between 2009/10 and 2016/17, and School Fruit and Vegetables Scheme since 2017/18, in which fruit and vegetables have been one of the two components (the second component is milk and milk products). The aim of the article was to evaluate their effectiveness in terms of the consumption of fruit and vegetables in Polish families. The article was based on: EU legal acts, evaluations of the functioning and implementation of the schemes made by EU and Polish institutions, statistical data from Statistics Poland, and a review of the literature on the consumption of fruit and vegetables. It was found that despite the greater number of schools and children participating in the scheme and the growing expenses for its implementation, in most EU countries, including Poland, there is no increase in the consumption of horticultural products covered by the scheme (Pearson’s correlation coefficient between the number of children participating in the scheme and consumption in households between 2009/10 and 2020/21 amounted to −0.77). The reasons may be the weaknesses of the scheme (i.e., generally poor quality of products, too short duration of the scheme, and also insufficient involvement of parents in its implementation) on the one hand and the influence of other factors determining the consumption of fruit and vegetables under the scheme being difficult to statistically confirm (greater availability of other products, ineffective advertising) on the other.

    Subject and purpose of work: This paper aims to assess the operational efficiency of public higher vocational schools in the Lublin Region. Materials and methods: The assessment was based on the non-parametric method of data envelopment analysis (DEA) using the standard CCR-O model. Results: In most of the analysed models (E, N, O series), the public higher vocational schools in the Lublin Region were found to have improved their efficiency in 2019 relative to 2017. Conclusions: E-series models are very susceptible to changes, both in terms of inputs and effects. This gives the possibility of a significant impact on the increase in the assessment of the effectiveness of investigated units DMUs. N-series models demonstrate the importance of aggregation and quality of source data for the results of performance assessment. Class O models justify the need to look for and compare the use of other DEA model variants in the study of the effectiveness of public higher vocational schools.
    Przedmiot i cel pracy: Celem opracowania jest ocena efektywności funkcjonowania publicznych uczelni zawodowych z regionu województwa lubelskiego. Materiały i metody: Do opracowania materiału zastosowano nieparametryczną metodę DEA (ang. data envelopment analysis) w standardowym modelu CCR-O. Wyniki: W większości analizowanych modeli (seria E, N, O) odnotowano poprawę oceny efektywności badanych państwowych wyższych szkół zawodowych regionu lubelskiego w 2019 roku w stosunku do 2017 roku. Wnioski: Modele klasy E są bardzo podatne na zmiany, zarówno w obszarze nakładów, jak i efektów. Daje to możliwość istotnego wpływu na wzrost oceny efektywności działania badanych jednostek DMU (ang. Decision Making Unit). Modele serii N wykazują istotność kwestii agregacji i jakości danych źródłowych dla wyników oceny efektywności. Modele klasy O uzasadniają konieczność poszukiwania i porównywania zastosowania innych wariantów modelu DEA w badaniu efektywności publicznych uczelni zawodowych.

    Non-typical letter activities and their effectiveness in foreign language lessons – EFL secondary school students’ perceptions The main aim of this article is to verify the effectiveness of non-typical lesson activities, involving the completion of a letter, in classroom conditions; and in implementing modern approaches to foreign language learning and teaching. Apart from presenting theoretical information on the notion of a letter and the concept of effectiveness in language education, the following account also provides insight into letter-based practical activities and identifies some consequences of their application in EFL classes. It delineates the opinions of secondary school students who, in an anonymous questionnaire, expressed their views on the letter activities offered to them in their lessons. Their opinions provide evidence in support of the content and concepts distinguished and discussed in the theoretical part of this paper.
