Przybliża osobę Juraja Páleša jako autora podręcznika pedagogiki i analizuje jego poglądy pedagogiczne, szczególną uwagę zwracając na wartości wychowawcze, osobowość´ nauczyciela i historyczne konsekwencje jego poglądów pedagogicznych.
    An article dissertates with the personality of Juraj Páleš – who was the first headmaster of the ”Teacher’s Propaganda” in Spis Chapter. It also deals with his pedagogical activities and culturally-religious and socially-political conditions in time of his active working. It approaches the personality of Juraj Páleš as the author of Pedagogy textbook and analyses his pedagogical opinions with individual regards on educational values, a teacher's personality and historical consequentions of his pedagogical opinions.

    Opis:
    Seeking the essence of merciful love, the author analyses its phenomenon in three aspects: theological, existential, and pedagogical. In the theological aspect merciful love appears to be an attribute through which we come to know God and understand His presence in the world and human life. In the existential aspect it is determined by the need, and in the pedagogical aspect by the attitude, to which people should be educated, bearing in mind a merciful attitude towards one another. Mercy treated as an educational value is understood as appreciative, uplifting and bringing people their lost humanity, lost dignity. This publication brings home to us the essence of merciful love, but allows us to learn about the papal message concerning the need to develop the new imagination of mercy. It also shows that merciful love is an extremely complex and rich problem, variously interpreted and frequently evoking different opinions and attitudes.

    Opis:
    The social changes that led to the transformation of the educational sphere are described in the article. The global social transformations and the educational and upbringing reform associated with them are intended to implement a certain homogenization of the systems of social education and management of education in the spirit of efforts to create a global cultural, economic, political, legal and socio-civil space are analyzed from the point of view of the methodology of education. The modernization of social, economic and political development and personality potential in the values and normative dimension of modern globalized societies of the world is explored. The modern conceptions of education and educational management are examined.The prospects of humanization of educational systems, management and upbringing are examined.It is mentioned that among the prerequisites of the existence of a developed civil society a successful formation and functioning of educational systems is necessary. The main task of modern education is the formation of literacy in the youth in according to the future (futures literacy) is described.

    Opis:
    The aim of the study is to provide a comparative analysis of educational plans and values of young people in the Central and Eastern European Borderlands. The authors pay particular attention to the role of education in creating life strategies among secondary school graduates of Ukraine, Poland and Hungary. The empirical basis of the analysis was created based on the results of the international sociological project “Youth in the Borderlines of Central and Eastern Europe”. The field research was conducted between April and June 2015, and included secondary school graduates from the borderlands of Ukraine, Poland and Hungary. The obtained results facilitated understanding the peculiarities of modern youth as a socio-demographic group and enriched the theoretical knowledge in the field of the sociology of youth. The results can be a basis for shaping educational policy both in particular states and in the whole European Community.
    Celem artykułu jest zaprezentowanie analiz porównawczych dotyczących planów edukacyjnych oraz wartości młodych ludzi zamieszkujących pogranicza w Środkowej i Wschodniej Europie. Autorki szczególną uwagę poświęcają roli edukacji w kształtowaniu strategii życiowych absolwentów szkół średnich na Ukrainie, w Polsce oraz na Węgrzech. Podstawę empiryczną prezentowanych analiz stanowią wyniki międzynarodowego projektu socjologicznego Młodzież na pograniczach Centralnej i Wschodniej Europy. Etap badań terenowych zrealizowano od kwietnia do czerwca 2015 roku wśród absolwentów szkół średnich na pograniczach na Ukrainie, w Polsce oraz na Węgrzech. Uzyskane wyniki przyczyniły się do lepszego zrozumienia specyfiki współczesnej młodzieży jako grupy socjo-demograficznej. Wzbogaciły one również wiedzę teoretyczną w ramach socjologii młodzieży. Wyniki mogą być podstawą do kształtowania polityki edukacyjnej zarówno dla poszczególnych państw, jak również dla całej wspólnoty europejskiej.
