    CEL NAUKOWY: Celem niniejszego opracowania jest przedstawienie najważniejszych elementów koncepcji uniwersytetu jezuickiego w świetle teorii procesów globalizacji. PROBLEM I METODY BADAWCZE: Główny problem badawczy dotyczy odpowiedzi na pytanie: czy jest możliwe skuteczne połącznie tradycyjnych zasad, na jakich opierał się jezuicki model kształcenia uniwersyteckiego  ze współczesnymi potrzebami globalnego rynku „usług” edukacyjnych. W artykule zastosowano metodę analityczno-syntetyczną literatury przedmiotu.   PROCES WYWODU:Artykuł jest skonstruowany w następujący sposób. Na wstępie zarysowano ramy teoretyczne, w jakich analizowane są procesy globalizacji w świetle nauk społecznych. Następnie ukazano najważniejsze cechy koncepcji jezuickiego uniwersytetu, co wreszcie pozwoliło na określenie najważniejszych wyzwań stających przed szkolnictwem wyższym, a w szczególności uniwersytetami jezuickimi. WYNIKI ANALIZY NAUKOWEJ: Z przedstawionych rozważań wynika, że możliwe jest skuteczne połącznie tradycji jezuickiego modelu kształcenia ze współczesnymi potrzebami rynku edukacyjnego. Co więcej, wydaje się, że jezuicki model uniwersytetu stanowi adekwatną odpowiedź na zmiany spowodowane procesami globalizacji. WNIOSKI, INNOWACJE, REKOMENDACJE: Wnioski, jakie wynikają z przedstawionych analiz, wskazują przede wszystkim na komplementarność tradycyjnych założeń dotyczących koncepcji uniwersytetu  i nowoczesnych modeli edukacyjnych. Tożsamość jezuickiego uniwersytetu wynika w dużym stopniu z przyjęcia całościowej wizji osoby i integralnego modelu formacji. To połącznie tradycji z nowoczesnością wydaje się trafną receptą na rozwój uniwersytetów jezuickich.  
    RESEARCH OBJECTIVE: The aim of this study is to present the most important elements of the Jesuit University concept in the light of globalization processes. THE RESEARCH PROBLEM AND METHODS:The main research problem concerns the answer to the question: is it possible to effectively combine the traditional principles on which the Jesuit model of university education was based with the contemporary needs of the global market of educational “services”? The article uses the analytical and synthetic method of the literature on the subject. THE PROCESS OF ARGUMENTATIONThe article is structured as follows. In the beginning, the theoretical framework, in which the processes of globalization are analyzed in the light of social sciences, was outlined. Then, the most important features of the concept of the Jesuit university were presented, what finally allowed the researcher to  define the most important challenges facing higher education, especially Jesuit universities. RESEARCH RESULTS: The presented considerations lead to conclusion that it is possible to combine effectively the traditions of the Jesuit model of education with the contemporary needs of the educational market. Moreover,  the Jesuit model of the university seems to be an adequate response to the changes caused by the processes of globalization. CONCLUSIONS, INNOVATIONS, RECOMMENDATIONS: The conclusions that emerge from the presented analyzes indicate, first of all, the complementarity of traditional assumptions concerning the concept of the university and modern educational models. The identity of the Jesuit university comes mostly from adopting a holistic vision of the person and an integral model of formation. The combination of tradition and modernity seems to be an accurate  formula for the development of Jesuit universities.

    The challenges facing contemporary family come from the fact that all events related to political, social, cultural and religious changes cumulate in this basic human community. The role of a family is particularly significant in those places where anti-religious regulations make it difficult for parents to educate their children in faith according to their will. The primary challenges of a contemporary family may be balanced applying the principle of a Christian organization Jeunesse Ouvriere Chretienne (JOC). This method first asks one to see (voir) various threats to a family which are related to cultural changes, progressive dechristianization and new trends which are against the Christian vision of family and marriage. Not only should the threats be seen but one should also collate and assess them (juger), i.e. point out how they harm a family and why one should radically object to them. On the third stage one should act (agir) and take concrete pro-family measures in order to prevent significant erosion of sacramental marriage which form the foundation of the Catholic family. The community of family life advocates is looking forward to concrete proposals connected with the Synod of Bishops on family which started in Rome in 2014. They should present the range of activities in defense of family and new formation perspectives.

Autor zwraca również uwagę na potrzebę upowszechnienia i wykorzystania propozycji wychowawczej Bojanowskiego we współczesnej edukacji, gdzie stanowić może ona niezwykle cenne „narzędzie” w procesie kształtowania u dzieci osobowości harmonijnych i odpowiedzialnych.
    The article shows the educational system of one of the eminent Polish thinkers and social-patriotic activists – Edmund Bojanowski, whose pedagogical thought continues to fascinate many educators today, making them “artists” in the field of education. The text points to the originality of the Bojanowski pre-school education system, which in its basic premise refers to nature, history and religion, offering an integral and family-oriented education. The author also points to the need to popularize and use Bojanowski's educational proposal in modern education, where it can be an extremely valuable "tool" in the process of developing harmonious and responsible children.

    Jesteśmy świadkami zmian społeczno-gospodarczych będących wynikiem dynamicznego rozwoju technologii teleinformatycznych. Próbując określić istotę tych zmian stosuje się wiele terminów, takich jak: „społeczeństwo informatyczne”, „gospodarka cyfrowa”, „biznes elektroniczny” czy „gospodarka oparta na wiedzy”. Wszystkie one wskazują na ważny aspekt współczesnej rzeczywistości, która jest efektem wzrostu znaczenia informacji i wiedzy w procesach gospodarczych oraz życiu społecznym. Konsekwencją tego jest także potrzeba zastanowienia się nad efektami stosowania nowych technologii teleinformatycznych we współczesnej edukacji. Należy zauważyć, że wielu autorów podejmuje próby zdefiniowania i nakreślenia koniecznych kierunków zmian dla polskiej edukacji, jednak nie oddają one w pełni istoty problemu. Stąd zamysł wpisania się tym artykułem w dyskusję dotyczącą tego problemu.
    We are witnessing the socio-economic changes that have been the result of the dynamic development of information and communication technologies. The term ‘information society’, ‘digital economy’, ‘electronic business’ or ‘knowledge economy’ is used to determine the essence of these changes. They all point to an important aspect of contemporary reality, which is the result of the increased importance of information and knowledge in economic processes and social life, and the consequence of which is the need to reflect on the implications of the use of ICT in modern education. There are attempts to define and outline the necessary directions of change for Polish education, but they do not fully reflect the essence of the problem, hence there is the idea of entering with this article into the discussion about this problem.

He concentrated his attention on very important issues from the area of language and cultural education.     Celem artykułu jest identyfikacja roli i znaczenia motywowania pracowników jako ważnego elementu zarządzania zasobami ludzkimi oraz wskazanie wyzwań w tym obszarze dla współczesnej edukacji. Na podstawie licznych źródeł, do których odwołano się w artykule, udowodniono, że motywowanie jest szczególnie istotnym elementem zarządzania ludźmi we współczesnych organizacjach, stąd też z jednej strony – potrzeby i oczekiwania pracowników, a z drugiej – możliwości organizacji, w tym kompetencje motywacyjne menadżerów powinny stanowić punkt wyjścia do konstruowania skutecznych rozwiązań motywacyjnych. Sztuka motywowania pracowników to przede wszystkim umiejętność dostrzegania potencjału i możliwości, które tkwią w innych i wywierania wpływu na pracowników w taki sposób, aby skutecznie ukierunkować wiedzę i zdolności ludzi na realizację wspólnych celów. W artykule podkreślono, że sukcesy motywacyjne (lub porażki) menadżerów w dużym stopniu zależą od tego, na ile na różnych etapach edukacji zadbano o właściwe ukształtowanie ich kompetencji motywacyjnych. W pierwszej części artykułu wyjaśniono pojęcia „motywacja” i „motywowanie” oraz zwrócono uwagę na ich istotę w kontekście zarządzania ludźmi. W następnej części artykułu przedstawiono motywowanie jako ważną funkcję zarządzania zasobami ludzkimi. W dalszej kolejności opisano błędy popełniane w procesie motywowania pracowników. W ostatniej części artykułu, jako wyzwanie edukacyjne XXI wieku opisano kształtowanie kompetencji motywacyjnych uczniów, przyszłych menadżerów.
    The aim of the article is to identify the role and importance of motivating employees as an important element of human resources management as well as to indicate the challenges in this respect for contemporary education. Based on numerous sources, referred to in the article, the authors proved that motivating is a particularly important element of people management in contemporary organisations; hence, on the one hand, employees’ needs and expectations, while, on the other hand, organisation’s abilities, including managers’ motivational competences, should be a basis for building efficient motivational solutions. The art of employee motivating is primarily the ability to see the potential and capabilities sticking in others and to exert influence on employees in order to effectively direct people’s knowledge and skills at fulfilment of common objectives. In their article, the authors emphasised that managers’ motivational successes (or failures) largely depend on that how others took, at various stages of education, care of a proper formation of their motivational competences. In the first part of the article, the authors explained the terms ‘motivation’ and ‘motivating’ as well as they paid attention to their essence in the context of people management. Further on, they presented motivating as an important function of human resources management. Next, they described the errors committed in the process of employee motivating. In the last part of the article, the authors described, as an educational challenge of the 21st century, formation of motivational competences of students, the future managers.

    Współczesny świat nękany jest wieloma problemami, które budzą niepokój o przyszłość społeczeństw żyjących w różnych częściach naszego globu. Problemy te dotyczą również społeczeństw europejskich. Dokuczliwe i pod różnymi względami szkodliwe są zachowania polityków, odżywają radykalne nurty nacjonalistyczne i szowinistyczne, nie słabną konflikty na tle religijnym, pogłębiają się różnice w warunkach życia bogatych i biednych, toksyczne jest oddziaływanie licznych środków masowej komunikacji. W tej trudnej sytuacji niewielką pomoc niesie ludziom edukacja, której powinnością jest przecież przygotowanie do życia. Powinności tej nie sposób wypełnić z powodzeniem, nie uwzględniając podstawowych problemów współczesnego świata, nie pomagając w ich zrozumieniu i poszukiwaniu rozwiązań. Szczególną rolę w tym dziele odgrywać może i powinna edukacja międzykulturowa – inspirując i promując poczynania służące przygotowaniu do godnego i zgodnego życia w dotkniętym poważnymi problemami wielokulturowym świecie.
    The modern world is plagued by many problems which raise concern for the future of societies living in different parts of our globe. These problems also affect European societies. Behaviour patterns applied by politicians are biting and in many respects harmful, the rebirth of radical nationalist and chauvinist movements takes place, religion-based conflicts do not weaken, the differences in living standards of the rich and the poor increase, there is a lot of toxic influence of mass media. What brings some help in this difficult situation is education which by definition aims at preparation for life. This duty can be fulfilled only with full regard for fundamental problems of the modern world and with attempts to understand and solve them. A particular role in this mission can and should be played by intercultural education – by inspiring and promoting undertakings which aim at the preparation for worthy and harmonious life in the multicultural world troubled by serious problems.

    Celem artykułu jest pokazanie roli znajomości zagadnień z zakresu psychologii rozwojowej w pracy nauczyciela, identyfikacja nowych ról nauczycieli oraz wskazanie znaczenia kształcenia dorosłych we współczesnej edukacji. Bazując na licznych źródłach udowodniono, że wyzwania związane ze współczesną edukacją są bardzo duże. W pierwszej części artykułu uzasadniono, że wiedza z zakresu psychologii rozwojowej ma duży wpływ na właściwe postępowanie nauczyciela i budowanie relacji z uczniami. W dalszej kolejności wykazano, że odpowiedzialność za edukację kolejnych pokoleń wymaga od nauczycieli występowania w nowych rolach. Szczególnie istotne są role związane ze wspieraniem aktywności edukacyjnej uczniów, aby ich osiągnięcia były większe niż nauczycieli, wychodzenie poza schematy i dotychczasowe sposoby działania oraz myślenia. Zaangażowanie uczniów, ich chęć do zdobywania wiedzy powinna być wynikiem odpowiedniego rozpoznania przez nauczycieli ich zdolności i zainteresowań oraz potrzeb i oczekiwań. W ostatniej części artykułu podkreślono, że istotnym wyzwaniem we współczesnej edukacji jest także kształcenie dorosłych. Szybko zmieniająca się wokół nas rzeczywistość oraz konieczność podnoszenia kwalifikacji i rozwoju umiejętności wymuszają dużą aktywność w tym obszarze. Na podstawie źródeł literaturowych udowodniono, że o sukcesie każdej współczesnej szkoły decydują przede wszystkim nauczyciele, którzy potrafią z pasją i zaangażowaniem przekazywać uczniom wiedzę, inspirując ich do odważnego i kreatywnego poszukiwania nowych rozwiązań.
    An aim of the article is to show the role of knowledge of the issues in the area of developmental psychology in the work of teacher, to identify new roles of teachers as well as to indicate the importance of adult education in the contemporary education. Based on numerous sources, the author proved that the challenges related to the contemporary education are very big. In the first part of the article, she justified that the contemporary education in the area of developmental psychology has a great impact on the proper conduct of the teacher and building their relations with pupils/students. Further on, she showed that responsibility for education of next generations requires from teachers playing new roles. Particularly important are the roles connected with the support provided for pupils’ educational activity in order to make it their achievements could be greater than those of teachers, exceeding the schemes and the hitherto ways of acting and thinking. Pupils’ commitment, their desire to acquire knowledge should be a result of a proper recognition by teachers of their abilities as well as needs and expectations. In the last part of the article, the author emphasised that a crucial challenge in the contemporary education is also adult education. The quickly altering reality around us and the need to raise one’s qualifications and the level of skills force a great activity in this area. Based on the literature sources, the author proved that the success of every contemporary school is determined, first of all, by teachers who are able with passion and commitment convey knowledge to pupils inspiring them to seek in a courageous and creative way new solutions.

    Opis:
    Social work deals with problems of individuals, families, organizations and communities. However, an evolving set of challenges continues to shape the future of social work theory, research and interventions. Social work is a profession with its own code and follows a set of standards and ethics rules at the federal level, but the licensing processes are controlled at the state level and the professional policies are set at the national and local level. Social workers, therefore, are trained to think in a systemic way and to work with a person-in-environment perspective at the individual and the community level. This text shows how the challenges of the twenty-first century impact the education of social workers as well as social work practice. The economy and globalization present a number of challenges – all of which contribute to creation of new social problems and need for social innovation. New technologies have opened the door for educational and clinical opportunities to connect and engage people in need, however, the digitalization excluded a group of people with a low income. Social work education must keep up with the pressures of the economic aspects influencing the education market and the growing evidence base to support trauma-informed care, the use of psychiatric rehabilitation, prevent bullying at schools and cyberspace, care for elderly and the constant changes ushered in by modernization and globalization. The implications of these challenges are reviewed and provide guidance for social work educators, social work students and social work practitioners.
