Opis:: One of the main problems of machining of moulds is the need for an effective monitoring system of wear of cutting tools. This paper presents the results of coordinate measurements of a cutting tool which were obtained by using the non-contact measuring system based on the ACCURA II coordinate measuring machine equipped with the LineScan laser measuring probe and the Calypso metrology software. Investigations were carried out for several measurement strategies including different measurement resolutions and scanning speeds. The results of the coordinate measurements obtained by using the above-mentioned coordinate measuring system were compared to the reference data measured by means of the InfiniteFocus microscope. The measurement results were analysed by means of two software packages: Focus Inspection and Zeiss Reverse Engineering. The point clouds measured by using the LineScan probe were characterized by the selected deviation statistics equal to 4-6 μm when a good match between measurement points and the reference data was obtained. Moreover, these statistics mainly depend on the measurement resolution. The results of the performed experimental research allowed for drawing conclusions concerning the significance of the effect of the adopted measurement strategies on the results of the non-contact coordinate measurements of the selected cutting tool. The application of the non-contact coordinate measurements to the above-mentioned measurement task may contribute to the development of regeneration methods for cutting tools applied for mould manufacturing.

Opis:: Pomiar wartości potencjału redox jest wykorzystywany do oceny stanu środowiska naturalnego, dlatego bardzo istotna jest dokład-ność z jaką jest on wykonywany. Duży wpływ ma na nią między innymi kalibracja elektrod redox wraz z dołączonymi do nich urządzeniami pomiarowymi. Do chwili obecnej kalibrację elektrod redox wykonuje się przy pomocy roztworów redox, co niestety nie gwarantuje jej dużej dokładności. W celu jej poprawy opracowano koncepcję elektrycznego kalibratora redox. Urządzenie to charakteryzuje się prostą konstrukcją i pozwala na szybką i dokładną kalibrację elektrod redox napięciem bipolarnym w bardzo szerokim zakresie. W artykule omówiono budowę elektrycznego kalibratora redox, a także przeanalizowano czynniki wpływające na rozkład potencjału pola elektrycznego w jego elektrodzie kalibracyjnej. Omówiono także wpływ konstrukcji kalibratora na szybkość ustalania się rozkładu potencjału pola elektrycznego i dokładność przeprowadzanej kalibracji elektrod redox.
Measurements of the redox potential value are used in estimation of the natural environment condition, for this reason it is important to take the measurements accurately. The redox electrodes calibration together with measuring devices connected to the electrodes influ-ence the measurement accuracy significantly. Nowadays the cali-bration of the redox electrodes is performed with use of redox solutions which, unfortunately does not always provide the adequate accuracy. Therefore, an electrical redox calibrator has been devel-oped. This device has a simple construction and allows fast and accurate calibration of the redox electrodes in a broad range with use of bipolar voltage. In the paper the electrical structure of the redox calibrator is presented. The factors influencing the decomposition of the electric field potential are analysed. Additionally, the influence of the calibrator construction on the speed of the electric potential field decomposition settlement as well as the accuracy of the performed redox electrodes calibration are discussed.

Opis:: W polskich kopalniach węgla kamiennego powszechnie występuje zagrożenie metanowe. Jest ono związane z obecnością metanu w węglu i jego uwalnianiem się do wyrobisk w wyniku prowadzonej eksploatacji. Zagrożenie to stanowi duże niebezpieczeństwo dla pracujących pod ziemią załóg. Prawidłowe rozpoznanie zagrożenia metanowego ma istotne znaczenie dla doboru profilaktyki jego zwalczania. Rozpoznanie to jest prowadzone na etapie drążenia wyrobisk i wykonywania wierceń rozpoznawczych. Parametrem węgla służącym do oceny tego zagrożenia jest metanonośność, której oznaczanie, zgodnie z obowiązującymi przepisami, jest obligatoryjne w polskich kopaniach węgla kamiennego. Dla celów oznaczania metanonośności opracowana została nowa metoda oznaczania metanonośności. W artykule przedstawiona została charakterystyka tej metody. Głównie jednak uwaga skupiona została na przeprowadzonej ocenie niepewności pomiarowej związanej z oznaczaniem metanonośności. W artykule zaprezentowany został również program komputerowy AGHGAZ służący do prowadzenia oznaczeń.
Methane has a bad influence on safety in underground mines as it is emitted to the air during mining works. Appropriate identification of methane hazard is essential to determine methane hazard prevention methods, ventilation systems and methane drainage systems. Methane hazard is identified while roadways are driven and boreholes are drilled. Methane content in coal is one of the parameters which is used to assess this threat. This is a requirement according to the Polish mining law. For this purpose a new method for determining methane content in coal in underground coal mines has been developed. This method consists of two stages - collecting samples in a mine and testing the samples in the laboratory. The stage of determining methane content in a coal sample in a laboratory is essential. This paper presents the estimation of measuremen uncertainty of determining methane content in a coal sample according to this methodology and computer software AGHGAZ to conduct the measurements.
