    Opis:
    Th e purpose of the article is to discuss the regulatory and self-regulatory approaches to the media in Bulgaria having an impact on professional reporting on minorities’ issues and encour- aging intercultural dialogue among various social and ethnic groups. As an element of democratic transition, the formation of a new media culture and attitude towards minorities in the country is a long and complicated process combining legal and media components. One of the expected positive outcomes of the transformations taking place has been the creation of truly independent and profes- sional media that can successfully exercise their public integrating function. Th e text analyzes diff erent national research projects and publications in the fi eld. Th e fi nal section is dedicated to the experience of the national minority press and the two national public broadcasters — the BNR and the BNT — featuring their problems and achievements.

    Opis:
    The effects of radical innovations in the economy and the social sphere cause changes in socio-professional relationship and the transformation of a work man. The motto of work humanization, raising ethical aspects protecting the subjectivity of its producers – in global capitalism – carries many risks as well as raises justified doubts. The model of active life, the syndrome of well-being, the pressure on self-improvement, the ability of self-managing are the new ideologies that convert a human into a product put up for sale, ”a product” that will soon become outdated unless it is subjected to continuous updating. The acceptance of such a lifestyle and work is supposed to foster the personal human market value. The process of blurring the differences between life and work, the professional and private sphere appropriates and reduces the human personality and shifts the blame for the failure from the system onto the individual. In this way, the control system is transformed into a more sophisticated control and over-regulation in relation to the individual. Humanization becomes a contradiction and the effects of work and professional ethics lose their sense and philosophical-anthropological foundations.

    Opis:
    Man is a social being, therefore, he has a group life that results in close and distant contact between diverse individuals. These contacts concern culturally disparate people holding values, desires, views or habits of variable acceptability. Therefore, we are witnessing that what some find good, others consider strange or wrong. Disputes, controversies and conflicts are characteristic of the democratic system, and pluralism is one of the constitutional foundations of democracy. The existence and clashing of differences are often the source of conflicts in democratic societies. Social conflicts have been, are, and will continue to accompany us every day, because their scale is very wide, from ordinary quarrels, even to wars. We just need to learn to deal with them, primarily through recognition, action and elimination of effects.
    Człowiek jest bytem społecznym, z którego wynika jego życie grupowe, wynikają również kontakty między ludźmi w różnych typach systemów społecznych. Kontakty te dotyczą ludzi zróżnicowanych kulturowo i prowadzą do różnic co do wartości, pragnień, poglądów czy też nawyków. Dlatego też jesteśmy świadkami, że to co jedni uznają za dobre, drudzy uważają za nie do przyjęcia. Spory, kontrowersje i konflikty są charakterystyczne dla ustroju demokratycznego, a pluralizm jest jedną z konstytucyjnych podstaw demokracji. Istnienie i ścieranie się odmienności stanowią niejednokrotnie źródło konfliktów w społeczeństwach demokratycznych. Konflikty społeczne były, są i nadal będą towarzyszyć nam na co dzień, ponieważ ich skala jest bardzo szeroka, od zwyczajnej kłótni, aż do wojen. Musimy tylko nauczyć się radzić sobie z nimi, przede wszystkim poprzez rozpoznawanie, działanie i likwidację skutków.
