- The paper presents the results of numerical and experimental studies leading to determination the natural frequencies of rotor vibration values in a synchronous motor with permanent magnets (PMSM). The subject of study was a rotor of hybrid construction. The permanent magnets were mounted in the laminated rotor core. This package was placed on the shaft with the use of special plastic ring. The mechanical stiffness of the ring has substantial influence upon the values of natural frequencies of the whole structure. Efforts have been made to determine the frequencies of system vibration by the use of analytical method. In this case it is necessary to determine the moment of rotor inertia. The moment has been determined analytically and experimentally as well. Moreover a numerical model of rotor in question has been presented in the article. The series of computation were carried out in COMSOL environment. The results of numerical calculations and physical tests were in good conformability. The studies have proved the correctness of proposed numerical model PMSM of the rotor.
