Opis:: German academic language contains far more phrasemes than it used to be assumed. Apart from specialist expressions, there are many collocations, idioms and pragmatic phrasemes, which perform a number of textual functions. Scientific discourse has received an increased interest lately, however, no study of body-part phrasemes in academic language has been conducted. This paper presents an analysis of occurrence of phrasemes with the component “eye” in a specially created corpus of German academic texts in such branches as: linguistics, literary studies, foreign language teaching, and medicine. The paper approaches the following questions: Are such phrasemes used in scientific discourse and, if so, in which branches of science? What are the purposes of their use? Which phrasemes are favoured in all the analysed branches?

Opis:: W artykule autorka analizuje dyskurs czeskich i polskich forów internetowych po wypadku statku Aquarius w czerwcu 2018 r. Wykorzystuje metodę analizy, aby połączyć wszystkie komentarze w jeden heterogeniczny tekst i pokazać, jak wygląda dyskusja na temat migracji w większości społeczeństwa eurosceptycznego Europy Wschodniej (Republika Czeska) i w większości społeczeństwa eurooptymistycznego (Polska). Analiza dyskursu wraz z analizą frekwencyjną (oprogramowanie AnrConc) pokazuje, że pomimo różnic między Czechami i Polakami oba narody czują się częścią społeczności europejskiej. Pokazano również, że w obu krajach istnieje silna potrzeba znalezienia irracjonalnych wyjaśnień kryzysu migracyjnego.
A paper is focusing on discourse analysis of Czech and Polish internet discussions after case of Aquarius ship in June 2018. Author is using discourse analysis to merge all comments in one heterogenic text and to show how discussion about migration looks like in case of most Eurosceptic society of Eastern Europe (Czech Republic) and in most Eurooptimist society (Poland). Discourse analysis together with tools of quantitative analysis (software AnrConc) shows that despite differences between Czechs and Poles, both nations feels themselves as part of European community. It was shown as well, that in both nations there is strong need to find irrational explanations of migrant crisis

Opis:: This article presents the results of an analysis covering a portion of the vocabulary found in Wacław Potocki’s literary works. The examination of the lexical structure of the poet’s writings was limited to the biblical proper names coming from the three-volume edition of the poet’s Dzieła (Works) (Kukulski 1987). The material was excerpted using the corpus method and the Electronic Corpus of 17th- and 18th-century Polish Texts (until 1772). The aim of this article is to divide the collected biblisms according to the onomastic classification and to discuss the findings of their functional analysis. The Bible was a significant source of creative and ideological inspiration for the 17th-century author, which was reflected in the presented collection of proper names, with the anthroponyms that fulfilled allusive and content functions winning the greatest share. The study is concluded with a compilation of the outcomes of the comparative analysis performed with regard to the frequency of biblical proper names, certified in W. Potocki’s Dzieła and in the corpus of Baroque texts.
