Opis:
Wzrasta zapotrzebowanie na spajanie trudnospawalnych stali wysokowytrzymałych stosowanych w inżynierii lądowej i w transporcie. Przykładem tego typu konstrukcji mogą być podpory podestu ruchomego. Ważnym materiałem w produkcji podpór podestów ruchomych są stale drobnoziarniste z uwagi na ich dużą wytrzymałość na rozciąganie na poziomie 1000 MPa. Celem prac opisanych w niniejszym artykule było dobranie gazów osłonowych do spawania cienkościennych konstrukcji podpór podestu ruchomego z trudno-spawalnej stali S960 MC.
The demand for welding of hard-welded high-strength steels used in civil engineering and transport is increasing. An example of this type of construction can be movable platform supports. An important material in the production of movable platform supports are fine-grained steels due to their high tensile strength of 1000 MPa. The purpose of this article was to select proper shielding gases for welding thin-walled structures of mobile platform supports made of S960 MC hard-welded steel.

In the mobile platform structure, there is an increasing necessity to weld steels from the various groups. For instance, it has become necessary to connect AHSS (Advanced High-Strength Steel) with fine-grained steels. This article verifies the possibility of obtaining accurate mixed welded joints from different grades of DOCOL 1400 steel (from the AHSS group) with S700 MC steel (from the fine-grained steel group). The structure, quality and mechanical properties of the obtained welded joints were thoroughly analysed. The joints were made at various welding speed with preheating to 80°C and without preheating.

There is an increasing demand for mixed joints made of hard-weldable steels used in the construction of transport means. An illustration of this is the welding of movable platform elements such as a pin to arm joints. The pin is made of high-strength structural steel S690 QL (1.8928) while the arm of the movable platform is made of DOCOL 1200M steel from the AHSS group (Advanced High-Strength Steel). Such a joint is not easy to make due to the different chemical composition of both steels. The difference in thickness of welded elements creates an additional difficulty. The thickness of the cylindrical pin is 40 mm, whereas the thickness of the sheet metal used for the platform arm is much smaller and amounts to 2 mm. Joints of varying thickness and chemical composition tend to produce cracks in the heat-affected zone as well as in the weld. The purpose of this article is to determine the most appropriate welding parameters and the selection of additional materials to obtain correct joint with good mechanical properties, free of welding defects and incompatibilities.

Opis:
The paper presents the possibilities of using light alloy components in vehicle construction. Material 6082 was chosen for use in responsible structural components. The structure and strength parameters of the material in the delivery state were tested. Tested material parameters were compared with normative requirements. The purpose of the paper is to check the mechanical properties of aluminum alloy welded joints by various processes and parameters. Until now, welding of 6082 alloy did not give good and repeatable results. Because of that, two welding methods were analyzed (MIG and TIG) in the field of the quality of welds, strength of welded joints, and material structures obtained as a result of welding with various parameters.

Stainless steel could be treated as the main material used to construct various means of transport, including mobile platforms and tank trucks. An austenitic steel known as 316L steel (1.4401) has high resistance to atmospheric corrosion, natural waters, water vapor, alkaline solutions, and acids, even at elevated temperatures. This steel is weldable, although it is also prone to various types of welding cracks. Many factors influence the quality and mechanical properties of a joint. The most significant of these is the appropriate selection of welding parameters, which should be determined precisely and separately for each type of sheet, depending on its thickness and geometric features. The aim of the present article is to study the influence of main TIG (Tungsten inert gas) welding parameters on the creation of proper joints used in the construction of mobile truck platforms or tank trucks. The proper selection of parameters enables the production of welds with good functional properties. A novelty of this article is the proposal to weld each layer of a thick joint with different parameters, which has an important influence on the mechanical properties of the joint. It is expected that the new material and technological solution will yield a joint with good corrosion resistance and increased mechanical properties. This is important in the responsible construction of means of transport, using the example of mobile platforms and tank trucks. Different tests verifying the properties of joints, including non-destructive testing, tensile strength tests, and fatigue tests, as well as a hardness probe, were applied.

This paper focuses on the weldability of advanced high-strength steels (AHSS), commonly used by the automotive industry and civil engineering. These steels have found application in the construction of mobile platforms mounted on vehicles. AHSS significantly outperform other materials when it comes to performance flexibility and mass reduction potential. This article verifies whether the application of micro-jet cooling technology during the welding process might help to overcome these issues. The aim of this article is to choose welding parameters in the process with micro-jet cooling to obtain the best mechanical properties of the welded structure (elongation). The best welding parameters for these difficult-to-weld constructions are presented in detail.

Opis:
The austenitic 316L steel (1.4401) is an important stainless material used to build various means of transport. Austenitic steel has high resistance to atmospheric corrosion. The austenitic steel is treated as a good weldable material, although cracks are possible. This paper analyses the influence of various MIG welding parameters on the creation of correct joints used in the stainless steel structures of mobile platforms elements, as an example of welding structures, in various means of transport. Various tests verifying the mechanical properties of MIG welds, including non-destructive tests, tensile strength and hardness tests, were carried out. This article aims to show how important and complex the task is to select the correct welding parameters for elements of means of transport made of austenitic steel on the example of elements of mobile platforms.

The developing automotive industry has prompted an increase in the demand for new welding technologies in civil engineering and transport that reduce the mass of mobile platforms mounted on vehicles and increase their operational range at the same time. The AHSS steels are the materials most commonly adapted for the production of motor vehicles due to their high tensile strength. Nonetheless, the joints created with their use are less strong from the native material. This article examined whether the application of micro-jet cooling would alter the mechanical properties of the welds. Based on the performed tests, joints with better quality that passed positively in the hardness and tensile strength evaluations were obtained. The presented research proves that the use of additional elements in the welding process significantly affects the quality of the obtained welds and brings satisfactory results with a greater repeatability than before.
