    Nowadays the Church has a great challenge connected with taking up evangelization again. It must be an answer to signs of the times, to the needs of present people and to the conditions in which the man lives. In these complex and difficult realities there is a need for Christians capable of sharing their faith, who will keep on preaching with fervour and apostolic enthusiasm. As it is indicated in Instrumentum laboris, catechists can cope with this task. They are the subjects of passing on the faith and they are responsible for its preaching. In the document there are suggestions about how they should carry out their mission. However, they need more detailed elaboration. All these matters are to be discussed during 13th Ordinary General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops. We must hope that they will meet specific solutions, becoming an impulse to greater involvement in passing on the faith by catechists participating in the new evangelization through their service.

    The author shows both how to accept the reply proposed by the new evangelization which challenges the present and how to carry it out as part of various catechetical activities of the Church in Poland. First, through the analysis of fundamental papal documents, he determines the character of the new evangelization. Then, he presents a reply of the new evangelization to contemporary problems with reference to Lineamenta prepared for the Synod of Bishops in 2012. He also explains how the catechesis can merge with the new evangelization, and analyses the tasks of catechesis, as described in the General Directory for Catechesis and adapted to Polish conditions.

    Tak zwane sześć głównych prawd wiary to lokalna, polska tradycja katechetyczna, której początki sięgają katechizmów z XIX w. Czy to oznacza, że prawdy te nie odpowiadają nauczaniu Kościoła katolickiego na świecie i nie obejmują podstawowych doktryn wiary katolickiej? Czy wszystkie są dobrze sformułowane i rzeczywiście mogą być uznane za „główne” prawdy wiary katolickiej? Artykuł jest próbą odpowiedzi na te pytania. Jego struktura jest prosta: najpierw zinterpretowanych jest „sześć głównych prawd wiary” w duchu nauczania Katechizmu Kościoła Katolickiego oraz w odniesieniu do kilku współczesnych teologów katolickich; następnie autor dokonuje podsumowania i przedstawia swoją, nieco zmodyfikowaną, listę „sześciu głównych prawd wiary”.
    The so-called “six main truths of faith” is a local Polish catechetical tradition since 19th century on. Does it mean that these “truths” do not fit with the teaching of the Catholic Church in the world and do not encompass the fundamental truths of the Catholic doctrine? Is the formulation of these truths compatible with the “main” truths of the Catholic faith? This article is an attempt to answer these questions. Firstly, the interpretation of the “six main truths of faith” is given in the light of the teaching of the Catechism of the Catholic Church and from the perspective of some contemporary Catholic theologians. Secondly, the Autor presents his own, slightly modified, version of the “six main truths of faith”.

    Opis:
    For Fr. Franciszek Blachnicki, the catechesis was in close relationship with the Church. The most appropriate place for the catechesis as the fundamental formation of Christians (adults, youth and children) is in the Church which is both the subject, goal and object of catechesis. Fr. Franciszek Blachnicki drew the concepts of the Church from studies by German-speaking authors, and above all from documents of the Second Vatican Council. For him, the Church was an intermediary of salvation, a universal sacrament of salvation, a mother, a temple of God, and most of all, a union of God's people, a community in Christ, a community of faith, hope and love. The task of catechesis is, in the first place, the introduction and experience of the Church. The nature of catechesis stems from the concept of the Church. Therefore, if the Church is a community, the aim of catechesis is to introduce it to the faithful so that they may not only participate in it, but above all create it. It is also important that catechesis  serves the process of Christian initiation, discovering the Church as a place of fulfilling the mystery of life, salvation and healing. Therefore, Fr. Blachnicki put a strong emphasis on the relationship between the liturgy and catechesis, because the most complete process of initiation takes place in the liturgy. Another task of catechesis is its function of awakening and developing faith. For faith is the foundation for the Church and the primary goal for catechesis. It is to be both personalistic and social in nature. Father Blachnicki claimed that cathechesis educated faith was not an individual faith but the faith of the Church. Many Christians, even including those most zealous, live their Christian lives alongside the life of the Church, but not in the Church. In the meantime, every Christian is the Church, because the Church is the whole Christ, the head and members, and we are its members. For that reason, the life of the Church grows in so far as the life of faith of each member grows.
    Dla ks. Franciszka Blachnickiego katecheza, jak również wychowanie pozostawały w ścisłym związku z Kościołem. Najwłaściwszym miejscem dla katechezy jako podstawowej wychowania chrześcijan (dorosłych, młodzieży i dzieci) jest Kościół, który jest zarazem podmiotem, celem i przedmiotem katechezy. Pojęcia Kościoła ks. Franciszek Blachnicki czerpał z opracowań autorów niemieckojęzycznych, a przede wszystkim z dokumentów Soboru Watykańskiego II. Kościół był dla niego pośrednikiem zbawienia, powszechnym sakramentem zbawienia, matką, świątynią Boga, a przede wszystkim zjednoczeniem ludu Bożego, wspólnotą w Chrystusie, wspólnotą wiary, nadziei i miłości. Zadaniem katechezy i wychowania jest przede wszystkim wprowadzenie i doświadczenie Kościoła. Natura katechezy wynika z pojęcia Kościoła. Jeśli więc Kościół jest wspólnotą, to celem katechezy jest wprowadzenie wiernych, aby mogli w niej nie tylko uczestniczyć, ale przede wszystkim ją tworzyć i podejmować proces własnego wychowania. Ważne jest również to, że katecheza służy także procesowi inicjacji chrześcijańskiej, odkrywaniu Kościoła jako miejsca wypełniania się tajemnicy życia, zbawienia i uzdrowienia. Dlatego ks. Blachnicki kładł duży nacisk na związek liturgii z katechezą, gdyż w liturgii dokonuje się najpełniejszy proces wtajemniczenia. Kolejnym zadaniem katechezy jest jej funkcja budzenia i rozwijania wiary. Wiara jest bowiem fundamentem Kościoła i podstawowym celem katechezy. Ma ona mieć charakter zarówno personalistyczny, jak i społeczny. Ksiądz Blachnicki twierdził, że katecheza wychowująca do wiary nie jest wiarą indywidualną, ale wiarą Kościoła. Wielu chrześcijan, nawet tych najbardziej gorliwych, przeżywa swoje chrześcijańskie życie obok życia Kościoła, ale nie w Kościele. Tymczasem każdy chrześcijanin jest Kościołem, ponieważ Kościół jest całym Chrystusem, Głową i członkami, a my jesteśmy jego członkami. Dlatego też życie Kościoła wzrasta o tyle, o ile wzrasta życie wiary każdego z jego członków, do czego potrzebny jest całościowo rozumiany proces chrześcijańskiego wychowania.

    W obliczu przemian zachodzących we współczesnym świecie zauważa się potrzebę nieustannego pobudzania do żywego świadectwa wiary. Dlatego też celem artykułu jest podkreślenie jak ważną rolę w pobudzaniu do żywego świadectwo wiary i w uświadamianiu rodzicom ich zadań i obowiązków względem ich dzieci pełni katecheza chrzcielna. Katecheza ta stanowi szansę ich rozwoju religijnego tak, aby od wiary indywidualnej mogli przejść oni do wiary wyznawanej i kształtowanej we wspólnocie Kościoła i rodziny. Dzisiejsze zabieganie i wielość propozycji na ,,szczęśliwe życie” płynących ze świata zdają się nie ułatwiać tego zadania. Jednakże sama już szansa spotkania i porozmawiania o sprawach wiary daje nadzieję nowego przebudzenia. Gdy katecheza ta zostanie dobrze przygotowana niewątpliwie będzie mogła osiągnąć swój cel.
    In the face of changes taking place in the modern world, it is noted for the need of constant stimulation to the living testimony of faith. That is why the aim of this article is to highlight the important role in stimulating the living witness of faith, and in raising awareness of parents of their duties and responsibilities, in relation to their children's full baptismal catechesis. Catechesis is an opportunity for their religious development, so that from the individual faith, they can move to the faith professed and shaped in the community of the Church and family. Today's hustling and variety of proposals for ,,happy life” flowing from the world do not appear to facilitate this task. However, the chance to meet and talk about issues of faith gives hope to a new awakening. When catechesis is well prepared, it will undoubtedly be able to achieve its purpose.

    Opis:
    Catechesis and liturgy enable the Church to fulfill its saving mission awarded by the Christ. Preaching the word is to lead to the celebration of liturgy. The heart of the catechesis and faith of those who receive the message of salvation is the mystery of the Christ celebrated in liturgy. As catechesis is essential to gain understanding and ultimate experience of liturgy, a catechesis that supports and translates liturgical values into daily life is indispensable. Catechesis should relate to liturgical experience, consolidate its values, point to the richness of life renewed in Christ and propose ways of attaining sainthood in daily work. The characteristic element of liturgy is the language of celebration, which imparts significance to the celebration in the process of transmission of faith. Liturgy also uses symbolic language, which is an indispensable way of expressing and sharing religious experience. Symbols can help catechesis to resist the temptation of teaching only, because they bring teaching closer to daily life and add necessary dynamism to catechesis.

    Artykuł jest teologiczno-katechetyczną analizą owoców Ducha Świętego (Ga 5,22-23) na drodze do kształtowania dojrzałej wiary w procesie katechetycznym. Studium zostało podzielone na trzy punkty: owoce Ducha Świętego, dojrzała wiara i dojrzały człowiek. Analiza tekstów biblijnych oraz dokumentów katechetycznych pozwoliła na wyprowadzenie trzech wniosków. Po pierwsze: to Duch Święty jest dawcą łaski i źródłem dającym wzrost wierze. Po drugie: cnoty, które wymienia św. Paweł w Liście do Galatów jako owoc działającego w człowieku Ducha, należy uznać za cechy dojrzałej wiary. Po trzecie: zadaniem katechezy jest pomoc człowiekowi w odkrywaniu bogactwa darów Ducha Świętego oraz w ich urzeczywistnianiu.
    The article is a theological and catechetical analysis of the fruits of the Holy Spirit (Gal 5: 22-23) on the path to shaping mature faith via the catechetical process. The analytical process employed in the article was divided into three points: the fruit of the Holy Spirit, mature faith, and mature man. The analysis of biblical texts and catechetical documents allows us to draw three conclusions. First of all, it is the Holy Spirit who is the giver of grace and the source that gives rise to faith. Secondly, the virtues that are mentioned by Saint Paul in the Letter to the Galatians as the fruit of the Spirit acting in man should be considered the features of a mature faith. Third, the task of catechesis is to help the believer to discover the richness of the Holy Spirit's gifts and their implementation.

    Obecność od dwudziestu lat lekcji religii w polskiej szkole budzi często różne dyskusje oraz emocje w społeczeństwie. Przy okazji odsłania się w nich obraz współczesnej rodziny, wychowania religijnego dzieci, autorytetu rodziców i ich osobistego doświadczenia religijnego. W opinii wielu nauczycieli religii i duszpasterzy akcentowany jest fakt zaniedbań w dziedzinie pierwszej inicjacji religijnej dzieci, a tym samym „przesunięcia” przez rodziców tego obowiązku i działań na katechetów i naukę religii w szkole. Świadczy o tym fakt, że dzieci przychodzące do przedszkola bądź szkoły, dopiero tam po raz pierwszy słyszą o Bogu i wierze. Warto wobec takich faktów postawić pytania: Co znaczy wychowywać religijnie? Na kim spoczywa ta odpowiedzialność i kiedy to czynić? Pomocą w szukaniu odpowiedzi niech posłuży analiza nowej Podstawy programowej katechezy Kościoła katolickiego w Polsce z 2010 r.
    The presence of Religious Education in Polish schools for the past twenty years often arouses various discussions among Polish society. At the same time it uncovers the image of a modern family, religious education of children, parents’ authority and their personal religious experiences. A lot of teachers of Religion and priests point to the negligence in the early religious education of children as parents tend to shift this duty on teachers of Religion and Religious Education at school. This is reflected by the fact that a great deal of children coming to a kindergarten or school hear about God and the Faith for the first time. All the above mentioned facts lead to the questions: ‘What does it mean to educate children religiously?’ ‘Who is responsible for this duty and when should it be started?’. Those who seek the answers may find useful the analysis of the new Catechetical Curriculum of the Catholic Church in Poland of 2010.
