W artykule zaprezentowano wyniki badań zainteresowania mieszkańców polskichaglomeracji nabywaniem i eksploatacją samochodów elektrycznych w perspektywie nadchodzących lat. Badania wykonano w Instytucie Transportu Samochodowego w ramach projektu europejskiego „e-MAP”. Wywiady przeprowadzono w 370 losowo wybranych gospodarstwach domowych na postawie anonimowej ankiety, której wzór przygotowano w INFAS A.G. i uzupełniono w wersji polskiej w ITS. Pytania i odpowiedzi dotyczyły m.in. posiadania i wykorzystywania samochodów osobowych i kryteriów wyboru pojazdów. Pytania ankiety badały wiedzę ankietowanych i ich postawy wobec elektromobilności. Pytano o przyszłościowe preferencje wyboru samochodów osobowych, o gotowość do ponoszenia kosztów związanych z zakupem samochodu elektrycznego, a także podatność obecnych użytkowników samochodów osobowych na oddziaływania o charakterze propagandowym, administracyjnym i ekonomicznym wpływających na decyzje o zakupach samochodów elektrycznych.
The article presents the results of survey conducted on the interest of the inhabitants of Polish agglomerations in the acquisition and operation of electric cars in the years ahead. The study was performed at the Motor Transport Institute as part of the European "e-MAP" project. The interviews were conducted in 370 randomly selected households based on an anonymous questionnaire, the specimen of which was prepared at INFAS A.G. and converted into the Polish version at ITS. Questions and answers were related, among the others, to the ownership and use of passenger cars and criteria for the selection of vehicles. Survey questions explored respondents’ knowledge and their attitudes towards electromobility. The questions asked concerned also future preferences choice of passenger cars, a willingness to incur costs associated with the purchase of an electric car, as well as the vulnerability of current users of passenger cars on the impact of propaganda, administrative and economic character influencing the purchasing decisions of electric cars.

Electronic anti-theft security systems have been installed in cars for more than 20 years. Despite technological development and ever newer anti-theft car security devices, criminals continue their efforts to defeat all kinds of obstacles with the intention to unlawfully take possession of property. If they want to steal modern cars, thieves must demonstrate profi- ciency in electronics rather than mechanics, for unlocking and starting motor vehicles is today controlled by electronic systems. This paper presents the main methods of car theft, as well as measures to prevent it. Further in this paper, the author presents how thieves exploit rules of law and discusses a de lege ferenda proposal to improve Article 289 of the Penal Code by clarifying the length of time for which property may be possessed by an unauthorised person for that act to be considered as property taking and not a theft or burglary.

Opis:
This article presents theoretical studies of methods for assessing car quality indicators in the operation stage. Important criteria for determining the quality indicators of cars during the operation phase are the following: functional stability, ecology, comfort, technical solutions, and traffic safety. The problem of converting a multicriteria quality assessment to a single criterion is proposed to be solved by the method of determining a quality index. The methodology for the practical and actual implementation of this research is based on the evaluation of the quality index established on the average vehicle speed then the basic methodological principles are formulated. The quality index of a car is significantly dependent on the operating conditions. This article presents the correction coefficients for the quality index of base, hybrid, and electric vehicles, depending on the operating conditions. The studies and the proposed car quality index provide timely information on the characteristics of operating conditions, creating the necessary conditions and opportunities for automakers to improve the design of cars, promote the image of car brands, and increase sales.

Hungarian automotive industry is mainly associated with excellent buses, motorcycles and trucks. However, after World War II, already behind the "Iron Curtain", there were attempts made to manufacture a car for the Hungarian’s people. The article presents prototypes of the Hungarian passenger cars g developed under the communism (1945-1989).

The article presents the evolution of car crime. It discusses the causes and conditions of vehicle theft. It also presents an aspect of the professionalisation of criminals, which was infl uenced by the emergence of modern anti-theft systems. It has also resulted in the creation of groups, among which individuals are engaged in a specifi c task involving planning, taking the vehicle, and then its legalisation and sale. The paper also discusses the issues of counteracting car crime, including the importance of international cooperation of police services and cooperation of vehicle manufacturers, which helps to prevent such criminal acts.

The article discusses motor vehicle theft and legalisation. Despite modern methods of securing this kind of property, such offences are still committed by criminals. This type of crime is determined by the large and fast fi nancial profi ts, which criminals make not only from selling such cars, but also from ransoms obtained from the owners for returning the stolen vehicles. Criminal groups are also interested in vehicles carrying cargoes that are sold by the group or become objects of ransom obtained from owners. In the article, the author presents methods and techniques of stealing vehicles used by thieves in recent times. Moreover, the structure of criminal groups and the individual roles of their members are discussed. Furthermore, methods of legalising vehicles through previously stolen or counterfeited documents are presented, thanks to which buyers and public authorities are not able to get an idea of the practice. In most cases, the sale of properly prepared vehicles and documents is carried out under the pressure of time and attractive prices. In the last part of the article, the author presents the issue of obtaining compensation for stolen vehicles. This type of criminal activity is also a source of income for groups dealing with car theft.

One of the most important parameters affecting traction properties as well as driving safety, especially with regard to vehicles with special purpose, is the distribution of wheel and axle loads on the ground. This issue should be taken into account during the process of creating new vehicles as well as during the modernization process. In the first case, it is quite simple because the mass distribution is shaped already in the design phase. In the second case, the problem is more complex, because with modernization solutions we enter an already existing structure. Modernization basically assumes improving the performance and capabilities of the vehicle with possibly small changes in its base structure. Thus, it imposes important boundary conditions. The article presents the methodology of measurement and selected results of measurements of mass distribution as well as wheel and axle loads of selected motor vehicles during their advanced modernization (STAR 266 cars to the version STAR 266M2 and Honker 2000 to the version Honker M-AX). Modernizations carried out by Autobox Innovations Ltd. Lim. Par are mainly focused on increasing the traction of vehicles, traffic safety, and driving comfort. Measurements were made at the above-mentioned company.

Opis:
In present day families a car fulfills utilitarian functions: it enables them to get to work, to drive children to school, to go on holiday, etc. However, the car has long ceased to be perceived, if ever ascribed to this function, as an object serving an efficient moving from “point A to point B.” The car has several symbolic meanings: the car may be a symbol of the economic status, a symbol of power, a reflection of one’s lifestyle, and so on. The aim of this article is to characterize the symbolic meanings of the car, its practical applications, as well as other functions of the car in the present day family. My theoretical considerations are primarily conducted in reference to the literature on sociology/anthropology of objects, sociology of the family as well as cultural gender studies. The article also presents results of the analysis of the content as well as the semiological analysis of advertisements of SUVs placed in official webpages of motor car concerns in Poland in 2014.
We współczesnych rodzinach auto pełni funkcje utylitarne – umożliwia dotarcie do pracy, odwiezienie dziecka do szkoły, wyjazd na wakacje et cetera. Jednakże samochód dawno przestał być postrzegany, jeśli kiedykolwiek jedynie tę funkcję mu przypisywano, jako przedmiot służący do sprawnego przemieszczania się z „punktu A” do „punktu B”. Samochód posiada wiele znaczeń symbolicznych – może być symbolem statusu ekonomicznego, symbolem władzy, odzwierciedleniem stylu życia i tak dalej. Celem niniejszego artykułu jest scharakteryzowanie znaczeń symbolicznych samochodu, zastosowań praktycznych, a także innych funkcji auta we współczesnej rodzinie. Rozważania teoretyczne prowadzone są głównie w odwołaniu do literatury z zakresu socjologii/antropologii przedmiotów, socjologii rodziny oraz antropologii codzienności. W artykule zaprezentowane zostały także wyniki analizy zawartości oraz analizy semiologicznej reklam SUV-ów zamieszczonych na oficjalnych stronach internetowych koncernów samochodowych w Polsce w 2014 roku.

Przedstawiono podstawowy zakres usług realizowanych w SDP oraz obecnie obowiązujące wymagania dotyczące jej funkcjonowania. Wskazano także na rosnące znaczenie stacji demontażu w naszym kraju oraz nowe przepisy w zakresie recyklingu, które od przyszłego roku będą obowiązywały przedsiębiorców prowadzących SDP, właścicieli warsztatów naprawczych oraz producentów i importerów wprowadzających na rynek pojazdy samochodowe.
The article analysis dismantlers vehicles form exploitation in Polish. It shows the basic scope of services implemented in the SDP and the current demands on its operation. This article points out also on the growing importance of dismantling stations in our country as well as new rules for recycling, which from next year will force entrepreneurs SDP, owners repair shops and manufacturers and importers placing on the market of motor vehicles.

The paper presents an expert assessment of the number of passenger cars and light trucks (with a maximum mass not exceeding 3.5 Mg), trucks (with a maximum mass exceeding 3.5 Mg) and buses for 2010 and forecast up to the 2030 taking into account types of energy sources (petrol, diesel fuel, liquefied petroleum gas, natural gas and electricity). The average annual mileage and average operational consumption of energy sources have been estimated. On this basis, the projected energy sources consumption for the years 2010, 2015, 2020, 2025 and 2030 has been defined.
W opracowaniu przedstawiono eksperckie oszacowanie liczby samochodów osobowych, lekkich samochodów ciężarowych (o masie maksymalnej nie przekraczającej 3,5 Mg), samochodów ciężarowych (o masie maksymalnej przekraczającej 3,5 Mg) i autobusów dla 2010 r. i prognozę do 2030 r. z uwzględnienie rodzajów nośników energii (benzyna, olej napędowy, skroplony gaz ropopochodny, gaz ziemny i energia elektryczna). Oszacowano średnie roczne przebiegi oraz średnie eksploatacyjne zużycie nośników energii. Na tej podstawie wyznaczono dla lat 2010, 2015, 2020, 2025 i 2030 przewidywane zużycie nośników energii.

Postępy cywilizacji, mechanizacji i automatyzacji życia, które w ostatnich latach osiągnęły niebywałe rozmiary, przynoszą także uboczne skutki natury biologicznej. Jednym ze szkodliwych czynników, którego rozmiary i nasilenie nabrały szczególnego znaczenia w ostatnich latach, są drgania mechaniczne – zjawisko niezwykle rozpowszechnione w przemyśle, budownictwie, rolnictwie, a także w transporcie. Obok hałasu, drgania są dziś najbardziej rozpowszechnionym czynnikiem szkodliwym. Człowiek żyjący w uprzemysłowionych miastach narażony jest na działanie drgań nie tylko w miejscu pracy zawodowej. Ma z nią styczność przede wszystkim w środkach transportu, w których za sprawą nie zawsze najlepszej jakości dróg dochodzi często do znacznych wstrząsów. W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badań mających na celu odpowiedź na pytanie dotyczące własności wibroizolacyjnych jakimi charakteryzują się fotele w samochodach osobowych i ich wpływ na zwiększenie komfortu jazdy samochodem.
The progress of civilization, mechanization and au-tomation of life, which in recent years has reached in-credible dimensions, also bring damaging impact of biological nature. One of the damage factors which size and severity have gained special importance in recent years, are vibration - a phenomenon extremely common in industry, construction, agriculture as well as in transport. Alongside the noise, vibrations are today the most widespread harmful agent. A man living in industrialized cities is exposed to vibrations not only in the work. People have contact with it first of all in means of transport, where due to not always the best quality of roads there is often a considerable shocks. The article presents the results of studies designed to answer the question about vibration isolating properties which are characterized by seats in cars and their effect on increasing driving comfort.

W artykule przeanalizowano możliwości łączenia elementów nadwozia metodami spawalniczymi podczas napraw powypadkowych. Przedstawiono podstawowe sposoby łączenia elementów nadwozia pojazdu, to znaczy zgrzewanie punktowe oraz spawanie w osłonie gazów ochronnych. Ponadto zaprezentowano wyniki badań wytrzymałości połączeń zgrzewanych i spawanych.
The article analyzes the possibilities of post-accidental repairs of a vehicle body by means of welding method. Basic connection of vehicle body components during post-accidental repairs by means of spot welding and shielding gas coverage methods were discussed. The studies were also made on the results of mechanical properties of welded joints.

Przedstawiono układ pomiarowy do oceny luzów w przegubach przedniego zawieszenia samochodu osobowego. Zaproponowano i zrealizowano stanowisko pomiarowe z wykorzystaniem czujników akcelerometrycznych. Przeprowadzone pomiary potwierdziły przydatność tego stanowiska do zastosowań przemysłowych.
A measurement system for identification of plays in ball-joints is presented. It was designed and realized on accelerometric sensors. Overall errors are less than 0,3%. Testing experiments have proved its applicability for car diagnostic stations.

Scharakteryzowano stabilizatory aktywne oraz określono pięć najpopularniejszych sposobów realizowania aktywnej stabilizacji, z czego trzy z nich opisane zostały na przykładach. Przedstawiono koncepcję aktywnego stabilizatora opracowaną w Katedrze Pojazdów i Podstaw Budowy Maszyn Politechniki Łódzkiej.
The article contain description of the stabilizers found in motor vehicles. Describes the purpose of their use and impact on behavior and vehicle stability. Active stabilizers were characterized and identified the five most popular ways to pursue an active stabilization and three of which have been described using specific example. An original concept developed at the Department of Vehicles and Fundamentals of Mechanical Engineering Technical University of Lodz was presented.
