botanika - Opis:
- The aim of this study was to give ecological characteristic of D. mezereum. Ten populations from the Wielkopolska Lowland were examined. The habitats (plant communities, coenotic relations and soil conditions) of D. mezereum populations were described. 14 individual characters of D. mezereum shrubs (1 – leaf length, 2 – leaf width, 3 – leaf shape, 4 – possition of the widest part in percentage of the leaf length, 5 – no. of leaves on annual shoots, 6 – annual shoots length, 7 – ratio of no. of leaves to shoots length, 8 – flower diameter, 9 – flower tube length, 10 – no. of flowers on shoots, 11 – ratio of no. of flowers to shoots length, 12 – fruit length, 13 – fruit width, 14 – fruit shape) as well as content of macro- and microelements in leaves were examined. The relations between individual characters of D. mezereum and soils and leaves chemical characteristics were studied. On the ground of investigations the following conclusions have been made: 1. In the experimental plots (1 m2) 104 plant species representing different syntaxa coexist with D. mezereum and the number of taxa in the plots range from 16 to 28. That gives information about broad sociological and ecological amplitude of D. mezereum. 2. The soils vary in physical and chemical characteristics but all of them have low content of phosphorus. 3. The optimum habitat conditions are characterized by good structure, friable and humus soils of pH 5.7-6.8 and average content of available nutrients within marshy meadow (Circaeo-Alnetum) forest communities. 4. High amount of Ca and Mg in D. mezereum leaves is highly correlated with most characters of leaves, shoots and fruits. High amount of Ca (independently from pH of soil) indicates its special role in mineral feeding of D. mezereum shrubs.
