- The Supreme Audit Office evaluated the healthcare system for children and school children, especially with regard to preventive care. The audit covered the years 2015–2017. It examined whether the current organisation of the healthcare system allowed for effective utilisation of the financial and human resources, and whether children and youngsters were provided with the required preventive and treatment services, and whether equal access to such services is ensured. NIK also audited whether the measures for improving the system were systematically implemented, as well as the activities aimed at satisfying both children and their parents or legal guardians.
