Opis:: Wszechobecność technologii mobilnych wpływa na wiele dziedzin życia zmieniając sposób w jaki poszukujemy informacji, komunikujemy się a także spędzamy wolny czas. W pracy przedstawiono koncepcję pozyskania danych na potrzeby multimedialnego przewodnika mobilnego po szlakach turystycznych. W ramach opracowania przeanalizowano dostępną dokumentację szlaków turystycznych oraz przeprowadzono badanie przydatności różnych technologii GNSS do bezpośredniej inwentaryzacji szlaków. Opracowano także przykładowe założenia dotyczące zakresu i sposobu prezentacji danych nawigacyjnych oraz krajoznawczych. Zaprezentowano przykładową wersję testową mobilnej aplikacji zasiloną przykładowymi danymi dotyczącymi trzech szlaków turystycznych okolic jeziora Omulew.
The ubiquity of mobile technologies affects many areas of life by changing the way we look for information, communicate and spend our free time. The paper presents the idea of data acquisition for a mobile multimedia hiking trails guide dedicated for devices running under Android. In this paper, documentation of hiking trails was analyzed and suitability of various GNSS technologies for field mapping of trails was investigated. Also, assumptions regarding the scope and the way of presentation of navigational and sightseeing data were developed. Eventually, the test version of mobile applications was prepared and fed by sample data on three hiking trails surrounding the Omulew Lake.

Opis:: The paper is devoted to a depth analysis of the intellectual processes of dynamic formation of personal audio and video content for mobile information support of a user during his touristic trip. The main goal is to develop methodological approaches that are appropriate to use for designing one of the subsystems of innovative intelligent system "MIAT" (Mobile Information Assistant of Tourists) that will provide formation and processing of audio and video content that is required for individual information technology of user support during realization his excursion. The authors examined the architecture of mobile audio travel guides and algorithmic synchronization tools of their multimedia content components. Travel guidebooks in DAISY format are proposed to use as sources of multimedia content that accompanies the trip or tour. The basic requirements for mobile subsystems of intelligent information systems "MIAT" are formed, so it is responsible for dynamic personalized audio and video support tourists during realization his trip.

Opis:: This article presents accessibility challenges faced by cultural institutions in the case of visually impaired visitors. The paper starts by highlighting the perception differences in people who are blind from birth, people who lost their eyesight but were once sensitive to visual stimuli, and people with partial vision loss, and consequently, the differences in the preparation of audio description narratives. Outlining the latter in terms of challenges related to the exhibition content (audio descriptions at exhibitions with and without facilities for the visually impaired) and navigation (extremely diversified needs in various groups of visually impaired visitors), the author argues that audio description cannot be the only solution implemented by cultural institutions, although this is often the case. Without undermining the necessity, relevance, and the educational and informational value of the verbal description of visual content, she emphasises the need for other solutions and a greater open-mindedness to the diversity of this extremely heterogeneous group of visitors. Such an approach is crucial while the solutions dedicated to the visually impaired can prove beneficial for all visitors.
