    Opis:
    Learn, experiment and enjoy it – the joy of understanding should translate into the joy of creation, then the joy of creation fits itself spontaneously into the creative process. Learning means sharing knowledge and joy of leading others into the unknown areas they have not discovered yet. Teaching is a constant interaction and exchange on the intellectual and emotional levels, as well as mental and cultural levels – it is also establishing role models and social attitudes. Young designers are faced with challenge of translating the virtual world into the physical world in the current era of digital technologies. The use of parametric design programs allows them to create a versatile, functional, but artistic interactive environment, capable of shaping the urban interior within the city. This paper aims to present a design process and effect of an experimental, innovative academic program of semester course “Immersive environments and interactivity in designing architectural interiors and their surroundings”. The final projects demonstrate the versatility of understanding and implementing the program and the plasticity of shaping public spaces – valuable skills in a student’s path of design selfdevelopment.

    Przedmiotem opracowania jest gotyckie sklepienie w prezbiterium kościoła w Szydłowcu. Powiązany z nim jest oryginalny dużych rozmiarów ryt, zachowany na ścianie nawy głównej, pełniący podczas realizacji świątyni funkcję swoistego „projektu wykonawczego”. To unikat w skali europejskiej i jedyny taki zespół śladów dawnego rzemiosła budowlanego. Ryt, odkryty po pięciu wiekach, wzbudził duże zainteresowanie badaczy wskazujących nieliczne przypadki podobnych rysunków, zachowanych jednak fragmentarycznie na posadzkach, tarasach, ścianach czy sklepieniach. Na przestrzeni lat powstały hipotezy rekonstrukcyjne dotyczące faz rysunkowych i realizacyjnych tego dzieła w Szydłowcu. Autorów artykułu zainteresowały zależności między projektem a zrealizowanym kształtem sklepienia, czyli zagadnienie, w jakim stopniu odwzorowano w naturalnej skali koncepcje zapisane na płaskim rysunku. Dokonano analizy porównawczej przebiegu żeber ze stanem istniejącym wymurowanych segmentów kamiennych łuków żebrowych. Podczas prac zastosowano nowoczesny sprzęt pomiarowy i zaawansowane oprogramowanie. Celem badań było określenie i sklasyfikowanie wzajemnych podobieństw i różnic.
    This paper discusses Gothic vault located in the presbytery of a church in Szydłowiec. It is linked with an original, large engraving that has survived in the wall of the church’s main nave, and acted as a sort of “construction- phase design” during the church’s construction. It is a unique specimen on the European scale and the only complex of traces of historical construction craftsmanship of its kind. The engraving, uncovered after five centuries, inspired considerable interest in scholars who pointed to rare cases of similar drawings that have been only fragmentarily preserved on floors, terraces, walls or vaults. Over the years, reconstructive hypotheses were formulated concerning the drawing and construction phases of the Szydłowiec vault. The authors became interested in the dependencies between the design and the geometry of the vault as built, i.e. the degree to which the conceptual proposals recorded on the drawing were expressed on a natural scale. The authors performed a comparative analysis of the outline of the ribs, comparing them with the existing state of the ribbed stone arch segments. Modern measurement equipment and advanced software was used. The goal of the study was to determine and classify similarities and differences between the elements.

    Opis:
    The constant development of all areas of human life forces the continuity of an awareness limited to individual selected issue, but also imposes searches in broader fields of science. The same phenomenon also did not miss the architectural design. Dynamism of changes and participation, among others, mathematics, computer sciences or biology design entered confusion and false perception of the definition of the new methods of design. The main goal of the article is to organize the principles that govern parametric, generative, evolutionary, bionic or organic design. The basis for distinguishing between these issues is to define the objectives of the initial formation of a solid object. Evolution of changes in modern design techniques is also a great record of the history of human conscious creation of an architectural form.

    Opis:
    The paper deals with the digital architecture concept which is trying to introduce a new spatial language into the context of water urbanism, using nature as a model, measure and mentor. The first part analyses Biomimetics with its design strategies and methods. The Problem-Based Approach (designers look to nature for solutions) and the Solution-Based Approach (biological knowledge influences human design) are defined here. In the second part of the research, the authors present selected examples to the topic. This case study has demonstrated that a new approach to architectural design is emerging. This approach redefines the process of architectural design, understood not as the traditional shaping of the object's form, but as a compilation of various factors resulting from changeable climate characteristics and ecology. The conclusions emphasize that not only the contemporary understanding of ecology should be changed, but also the way architects approach the built environment, especially in the aquatic environment.
