- Taking into consideration the relationship between anthropology and social ethics it seems appropriate to pose the following question: How, in a given society, in view of often controversial anthropological messages, can we introduce ethically and socially justifi ed social relations and on what anthropological foundation should they be based? In modern society Christian social ethics aiming to justify and implement standards, systems and norms, taking part in the public debate concerning bioethical matters regarding the beginning of life, should consider men in an anthropological context and show an anthropological mindset. The concept of person used in anthropology allows to show that human life contains spiritual components which extend beyond biological factors. An ethical consideration of this issue allows to notice that a man can be defined according to a specific moral status. The phrase “man is a person” includes relations between the anthropological definition of man and a moral protection of dignity in society.
