Opis:
The article is devoted to solving the significant problem of efficiency increasing of air distribution in the premise by swirl air jet. The aim of the article is to decrease coefficient of velocity attenuation due to intensification of initial turbulence of different air streams leakage from the air distributor and to obtain of analytical equations for calculation of air distribution in a room to ensure the normative indoor air parameters. Effect of flow twisting results in a reduction of the velocity attenuation coefficient by 2.4 times. The regression analysis testified that the attenuation coefficient of the swirl air jet is more affected by the angle of the twisting plates inclination and less affected by the angle of change of the air flow direction. The attenuation coefficient of all types of rectangular air jets is more influenced by the the ratio of the sides of slit b/l and the angle of change of the air flow direction is also less affected. To minimize the attenuation factor, it is effective to use air distributors at smaller swivel plates inclination angles for swirl air jets and a smaller slit size ratio for all types of rectangular air jets.

We show an approach to estimate turbulence intensity of turbulent jet boundary layer. This approach uses geometric and kinematic analysis of simplified scheme of its macrostructure. It is a continuation of researches performed by professor of Heat Gas Supply and Ventilation Department of Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture Andrei Tkachuk. The obtained value of maximal turbulence intensity is coincides with known experimental data. This approach allows estimating of turbulence parameters of ventilation currents for energy efficiency optimization of air exchange organization.
Przedstawiono podejście do oceny intensywności przepływu powietrza w turbulentnej warstwie granicznej. Podejście to wykorzystuje geometryczną i kinematyczną analizę uproszczonego schematu jej makrostruktury.

Opis:
The article is devoted to solving of urgent problem to analyse energy saving effect from radiant heating and ventilation of premise with exhaust outlet and flat decking air jet. The aim of the work is analysis of energy efficiency of radiant heating systems using infrared heaters and ventilation of the premise due to the effect of a flat decking air jet on the surface of the heater; determination the amount of heat received both by flat decking air jet from the infrared heater when laying on its flat surface and amount of heat from the exhaust air entering the recuperator. Use of the infrared heaters in combination with an air distribution of the ventilation system with the flat decking air jets is effective, as it allows to achieve savings in heat load of the ventilation system in the range of 11%-19%. The amount of heat recovery of the exhaust air removed by the exhaust outlet is 30-40 W that equals 15%-20%. Saving the heat load of the ventilation system allows reducing the actual initial temperature of the tidal flat decking air jet and achieving a total saving of thermal energy of 24%-34%.

The article is devoted to solving of urgent problem to eliminate damage in ventilation system. That is caused by non-adequate long range, stagnant unventilated areas in the room existance and high noise level in the premises at air distribution by swirled air flow, compact air jet, flat air stream and rectangular air jet. A noise level of air supply with swirled air flow, compact air jet, flat air jet and rectangular air stream in the room has been investigated. It is shown that in order to achieve the maximum noise level decreasing it is necessary to ensure its supply by jets, which less intensively attenuate before entering the premise working area. Results of the experimental research are presented as graphical and analytical dependences. The acoustic properties of the swirled air flow, compact air jet, flat air stream and rectangular air jet have been investigated and means of situation improving have been determined. The results of experimental research of air supply to the room are presented. It is established that with the increase of the angle of swirling plates inclination and ratio of the slit sides the air jets noise level decreases.

The article is devoted to solving the urgent task of increasing the efficiency of air distribution by swirled-compact air jets to ensure the normative parameters of indoor air. The dynamic parameters of the swirled-compact air jet during its leakage in the alternating mode and the formation of a dynamic indoor climate in the room are determined. For improvement of comfortable conditions in the room and design of energy saving circuits of air distribution it is suggested to use swirled-compact air jets, which flow from the inflow and exhaust heat recuperators with heat recovery of the exhaust air. An energy audit of the ventilation system reconstruction with a recuperator using was carried out. The method of taking into account the fact of application of several measures, which cannot be carried out simultaneously, and discount rate dynamics is proposed.

Opis:
One group of plants commonly used for solids combustion are grate furnaces. These furnaces come in numerous design solutions, dedicated to fuels with different properties and plants with different capacities. The use of grate furnaces presents the as-yet unresolved challenge of how to ensure the most favourable air distribution along the length of the grate. The paper proposes a design solution to ensure proper air distribution along the length of the grate. An additional advantage of the proposed solution is the intensification of heat exchange in the furnace, enabling the boiler's circulating medium to be heated more efficiently. Both of the advantages allow an increase in the energy efficiency of the plant and therefore contribute to a reduction in the amount of fuel burned and CO2 emissions.

Opis:
Balanced distribution of air in coal-fired boiler is one of the most important factors in the combustion process and is strongly connected to the overall system efficiency. Reliable and continuous information about combustion airflow and fuel rate is essential for achieving optimal stoichiometric ratio as well as efficient and safe operation of a boiler. Imbalances in air distribution result in reduced boiler efficiency, increased gas pollutant emission and operating problems, such as corrosion, slagging or fouling. Monitoring of air flow trends in boiler is an effective method for further analysis and can help to appoint important dependences and start optimization actions. Accurate real-time monitoring of the air distribution in boiler can bring economical, environmental and operational benefits. The paper presents a novel concept for online monitoring system of air distribution in coal-fired boiler based on real-time numerical calculations. The proposed mathematical model allows for identification of mass flow rates of secondary air to individual burners and to overfire air (OFA) nozzles. Numerical models of air and flue gas system were developed using software for power plant simulation. The correctness of the developed model was verified and validated with the reference measurement values. The presented numerical model for real-time monitoring of air distribution is capable of giving continuous determination of the complete air flows based on available digital communication system (DCS) data.
