Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship - Opis:
- In the years 2014–2015 there was a conflict in the town of Pieniężno lying on the borderland between Poland and Russia, i.e. the exclave of Kaliningrad over a monument of a Red Army general Ivan Chernyakhovsky (otherwise: Cherniakhovsky). Eventually, the bust of the general was dismantled on the 17th of September 2015. By that time it had been illegally divested of inscriptions and devastated. The scale of the dispute over the symbolic domain was not only local and regional, but also international (Polish-Russian, Ukrainian, German and Jewish/Israeli).
