Opis:: The topic of this paper is to present the influence of the economic system transformation on the housing environment. Determiners of the development of housing architecture and environment belong to four general groups: architectural, town-planning, economic and legal as well as social and cultural. They are all connected, they enter various relationships and the degree of their influence on changes in architecture is differentiated. Some of them are very important determinants for the field of housing environment and these are connected with history and culture. Some others stimulate progress in the processes in architecture. Still others hamper the progress and slow down the changes. During 20 years of the process of transformation in Poland the built environment has changed and now it offers a new quality and more than before facilities to the inhabitants.

It mentions the factors on which procedures of creating emotion maps are based including virtual space, perceived urban space and negative emotions areas in urban space. Opis:: Le personnage principal de la série policière mondialement célèbre d’Ian Rankin est l’Inspecteur Rebus, qui déambule, dérive, file ou poursuit des suspects à pied et en voiture dans la ville d’Edimbourg. Dans chaque roman, la narration parcourt un certain nombre de lieux référentiels et les examine à travers le prisme du temps, construisant peu à peu une carte diachronique de la ville. Comme la série s’étire sur plus de trente ans, l’espace urbain évolue à mesure du déroulement de la narration. Ian Rankin rend compte de la croissance urbaine en temps réel, et s’en inspire pour nourrir l’intrigue de ses romans. L’assemblage des morceaux de la carte est donc une entreprise sans fin, et les lignes de fuite de la géographie littéraire d’Edimbourg tendent vers un horizon qui s’éloigne toujours.
Ian Rankin’s world-famous crime series features as a main character the city of Edinburgh, where Inspector Rebus relentlessly wanders, drives, drifts, tails and chases suspects. In each novel, the narrative visits a number of referential locations and examines them through the prism of time, slowly building a diachronic map of the city. As the series spans more than thirty years, the urban locus evolves as the narrative unfolds. Ian Rankin takes stock of new urban developments in real time and draws on them to feed his plots. Piecing a map together therefore remains a work in progress, and the literary geography of Edinburgh gazes out at an endlessly elusive horizon.

Opis:: Modern economy is increasingly dependent on partnership relations that are becoming a tool for gaining competitive advantage, both between territorial units as well as economic entities and other organizations. Particular aspect of development of new economy based on innovations and creativity are cooperation networks and their emergence. Such economy is based on transfers of potentials: both within business sector as well as between various sectors that possess complementary competencies. Globally competitive economy can be developed only provided that local resources and conditions created by the environment are fully utilized. It means that not only economic entities have to perform within cooperation networks, but local administration, public institutions, science and education, culture and non-government organizations also matter within them. Big cities therefore are predestined for development of new economies, because they concentrate entities from various sectors. Currently a lot of attention is given to building functional areas of cities. They are territorial structures that enable synergic development of territorial units, which are functionally- close to the core city. Relations that are built between core and its outer areas foster growth of potentials, which are necessary for economic growth and together reinforce a development of smaller cities. Therefore other dimension of networking is defined, in which core city's networks are broadened by outer area's entities. Thinking in category of urban functional areas is therefore associated both with the desire to strengthen the mechanisms of diffusion, as well as to create a stronger economic structures based on partnership relations.
