Sinodik from Wojnowo - Opis:
- The magical function, understood as all symptoms of rituality, is dichotomously realized inSinodik from Wojnowo: (1) in calls to perform the ritual of “remembering the dead”, (2) indefining rules for this ritual. Both directions are realized verbally and nonverbally. The book isboth a nonverbal call as well as a tool to perform the call. In Sinodik, verbal encouragement topray is also present. The text of Sinodik is a collection of rules and rights to perform the ritual, i.e.a verbal and nonverbal behaviour of those who pray. The nonverbal ritual is revealed also in thegraphic presentation of the book.
