    The article explains the process of rivalry between the Russian and Western conceptions of world order in the perspective of the events taking place in Ukraine since 1991. According to the initial premise, the war in Ukraine is an expression of the rivalry between Russia and the West, the author considers each side involved in the conflict as a separate project of world governance. The goal of the ongoing struggle is for Russia to strengthen its position in the international arena and consolidate its hegemony in the area of the so-called “near abroad”, and to prevent this by the United States (and the West as a whole) which seeks to free Ukraine from Russian domination. The author considers the war in Ukraine as an opportunity for this country to get out from under the centuries-old influence of Russia and reject the Russian model of governance, and to build its own strong national entity based on a strictly Ukrainian idea of statehood, underpinned by conceptual assumptions adopted from the West.
    W artykule wyjaśniono proces rywalizacji między rosyjską a zachodnią koncepcją światowego porządku w perspektywie wydarzeń mających miejsce na Ukrainie od 1991 roku. Zgodnie z wstępnym założeniem, wojna na Ukrainie to wyraz rywalizacji między Rosją a Zachodem. Autor rozpatruje każdą stronę zaangażowaną w konflikt jako odrębny projekt zarządzania światem. Celem toczącej się walki jest wzmocnienie pozycji na arenie międzynarodowej przez Rosję i umocnienie jej hegemonii na obszarze tzw. bliskiej zagranicy, oraz niedopuszczenie do tego przez Stany Zjednoczone przewodzące całemu Zachodowi i dążące do uwolnienia się Ukrainy spod rosyjskiej dominacji. Autor rozpatruje wojnę na Ukrainie jako szansę dla tego państwa na wyjście spod wielowiekowych wpływów Rosji i odrzucenie rosyjskiego modelu rządzenia, oraz na zbudowanie własnej silnej podmiotowości w oparciu o stricte ukraińską ideę państwowości, podłożem której będą konceptualne założenia przyjęte na Zachodzie.

    The objective of this research is to assess the defence partnership of Russia and China after the Cold War period. This study analyses the military cooperation and strategic relation of Russia and China in the post-Cold War period. Further, the article highlights the main contradicting areas between the United States of America (USA) and the Russia-China alliance in international politics. It also elucidates the Russia-China relationship across the diplomatic paradigm and economic aspects in the global economic system. China’s flagship economic New Silk Road Initiative is a challenging concept for the US on land and maritime across the world. Thus, the study uses the research question: how do China and Russia compete with the US challenges in the new world order? The qualitative comparative method is used to investigate answers to the research questions and objectives of this study. This article attempts to use an analytical framework to describe the countries’ vision for joint development in the area of security issues. Russia and China have deep military cooperation and commit to working together against the US domination in the Asia Pacific and other parts of the world. In a conclusion it is stated that Russia and China have been accelerating bilateral military cooperation in a positive direction, which is a success story between both countries, and the US is facing stiff competition in Asia as well as in the Asia Pacific Region (APR).

    Okres 2012-2014 stanowi realny początek podważenia hegemonii Stanów Zjed-noczonych w stosunkach międzynarodowych, co wiążę się z objęciem prezydentury w Rosji na trzecią kadencję przez Władimira Putina oraz dojściem do władzy Xi Jinpinga w Chi-nach. Jesteśmy więc w trakcie globalnej rywalizacji o przyszłość porządku międzynarodo-wego. Celem artykułu jest udzielenie odpowiedzi na pytania: czy istnieje sojusz pomiędzy Chinami i Rosją? Weryfikuję hipotezę, że relację obu mocarstw, w oficjalnej narracji określane mia-nem "wszechstronnego partnerstwa strategicznej współpracy dla nowej ery" (comprehen-sive strategic partnership of coordination for a new era) można nazwać sojuszem kontrhe-gemonicznym. Wymaga ona charakterystyki stosunków chińsko-rosyjskich w warunkach dokonujących się przemian porządku międzynarodowego. W przedstawianym artykule skupiam się na współpracy militarnej, a także charakterystyce sytuacji wynikającej z trilate-ralizmu, a więc struktury tworzonej przez działania w trójkącie Moskwa-Pekin-Waszyngton. Podsumowanie i prognozy będą dotyczyły całości zagadnienia, a więc obejmującego także kwestie geoekonomiczne i symboliczne opisane w poprzednim artykule.
    The period 2012-2014 is a real beginning to undermine the hegemony of the Unit-ed States in international relations, which is associated with taking the presidency of Russia for the third term by Vladimir Putin and the rise to power of Xi Jinping in China. So we are in the middle of a global competition for the future of international order. The purpose of the article is to answer the questions: Is there an alliance between China and Russia? I verify the hypothesis that the relationship of the two powers, in the official narrative referred to as the "comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination for a new era" can be called a counterhegemonic alliance. It requires the characterization of Chinese-Russian relations in the conditions of changing international order. In this article, I focus on military coopera-tion, as well as the characteristics of the situation resulting from trilateralism, i.e. the structure created by the actions in the Moscow-Beijing-Washington triangle. Sum-mary and forecasts will cover the whole issue, including geoeconomic and symbolic issues, described in the previous article.

    The Ukrainian-Russian conflict is being characterized as a logical end of the revenge geostrategy, which has been working out for a long period of time by representatives of power in Kremlin. It is emphasized that Russian aggression against Ukraine has demonstrated neglect towards the international right and has put in danger the world’s safety. The structure, the content, peculiarities and consequences of Russian-Ukrainian “hybrid war” are being ascertaining.

    The purpose of the study is to try to formulate an answer to the question of how the war waged in Ukraine and the conflict with the West are assessed by influential Russian geopoliticians. The empirical basis of the conducted research is provided by the articles contained in the leading Russian geopolitical journal "Russia in Global Affairs" in the period from May 2022 to May 2023. The opinions of their authors range from disapproval of Russia's actions in Ukraine, serious fears of a break in relations with the West and Russia's descent into isolation, to full acceptance of these actions treated as a struggle of the "world majority" led by Russia against the hegemony of the West. Some researchers look for the positives of Russia's situation, which gives the impression of "putting a good face on a bad game," while others express fears of disaster, i.e. the collapse of state power and the disintegration of Russia.
    Celem opracowania jest próba sformułowania odpowiedzi na pytanie jak prowadzoną na Ukrainie wojnę i konflikt z Zachodem oceniają wpływowi geopolitycy rosyjscy. Empiryczną podstawą są artykuły zawarte w czołowym rosyjskim czasopiśmie geopolitycznym „Russia in Global Affairs” w okresie od maja 2022 do maja 2023. Opinie ich autorów są zróżnicowane: od dezaprobaty w stosunku do działań Rosji na Ukrainie, poważnych obaw przed zerwaniem relacji z Zachodem i popadnięciem Rosji w izolację, po pełną akceptację tych działań traktowanych jako walka „światowej większości” pod przewodnictwem Rosji z hegemonią Zachodu. Jedni badacze doszukują się pozytywów sytuacji Rosji, co sprawia wrażenie „robienia dobrej miny do złej gry”, podczas gdy inni wyrażają obawy o katastrofę, czyli załamanie się władzy państwowej i rozpad Rosji.
