„Russian soul”

A. Pushkin - Opis:
- Relationship: Russia – Europe is an important component of the political situation in contemporary Europe and the world. This also applies to Poland. Today, due to the war in Ukraine, this is an extremely topical subject matter. This is a question about Russia. Two positions have been formed in the tradition of culture and journalism. According to one, Russia is totalitarian country and an aggressor. And this is the „Russian soul”; Putin today. Russia is not changing. This means that there can be no acceptance of this state of affairs. It can only respond to „strenght” with „force”. According to the second position, such thinking means staying in the world of stereotypes and myths. There is no such thing as „Russian soul”. This means that Russia is not Putin. There is „Russia as such”. And we need to cooperate with this country. It is an anti-Putin opposition (M. Khodorkowsky, G. Kasparov, A. Navalny…). And today – as it was in the past – Poland remains in the circle of this dilemma.
