Transport system - Opis:
- The transport sector is a key sector for sustainable development because of the social and economic benefits that can be achieved thanks to him whit simultaneous minimizing the unfavorable consequences for society, economy and environment. Therefore, such an important issue is the monitoring of progress in the direction of the implementation of sustainable transport. This monitoring must be done on every level of governance from local through regional to national and international. The main aim of this article is to show indicators that can be used in the monitoring of sustainable transport at the regional level. Article points to the difficulties that arise when creating indicators and suggests directions for further work on indicators.
